Several videos and comments on what is happening in China regarding the corona virus. Two posts caught my attention, one saying that Indian Scientists found HIV protein in the Corona Virus from Wuhan and one table (excel spreadsheet) stating that by September 2020 the entire population of the world will have caught the Corona Virus. See for yourself.

I will paste the entire address here in case I have done something wrong providing the link above.

Thank you... there seem to be many interesting reports there.

The Excel spreadsheet you mention likely came from this Chris Martenson video report (discussed earlier on this thread). And a lot of people are waiting for the re-release of the New Delhi research team paper, which was withdrawn in its initial form but which we archived here.

#Breaking: Just in - A Chinese citizen who has travelled to #Ecuador and tested negative for the #coronavirus has died of a very high fever.

Yes, many thanks. The poor man was reported to have had multiple organ failure, and was close to death last week. Then the results came back negative from the CDC, after a 10 day wait, and it was said he had Pneumonia and Hepatitis B.

I find that very hard to believe. As best I know, Pneumonia and Hepatitis B don't cause multiple organ failure. (The coronavirus can do.) All we can do here is wait to see if there are any more suspected cases, or whether that was an isolated anomaly.
I read on Reddit that the reported cases of death as coronavirus in China are if the person succumbs to a rapid high fever and organ failure scenario. The report said those who develop pneumonia were transported away. (Not sure that is reliable and cn't find the post) The statistics of those deaths listed as pneumonia.

I read John Campbell and Chris Martensons' analyses of people with milder symptoms and later pneumonia. Then there is an apparent cytokine storm reaction that fulminates rapidly? Then of course there is apparently an symptomatic stage that could later develop or not. The worrying aspect for contaigen are reports of multiple negative tests that later show positive.

I read this article. I saw a comment that made sense. IF people are asymptomatic, they are not coughing and sneezing BUT they might have had bowel symptoms and the oral/fecal route may have played a part?

Quote https://www.bbc.com/zhongwen/simp/world-51427216Wuhan pneumonia: China confirms New Coronavirus transmission via aerosol through air
    (Google translation)

China's official health department confirmed on Saturday (February 8) that the new coronavirus can be transmitted through the air.

At a press conference held in Shanghai, health and epidemic prevention experts confirmed that in addition to direct transmission and contact transmission, the transmission route of New Coronary Pneumonia also includes "aerosol transmission".

Aerosol is a colloidal dispersion system formed by solid or liquid small particles dispersed and suspended in a gaseous medium. In simple terms, aerosols are small liquid or solid particles that are stably dispersed and suspended in the air and cannot be seen by the naked eye.

The so-called "aerosol transmission" means that the droplets are mixed in the air to form an "aerosol", which causes infection after inhalation.

Previously, on February 5, the National Health and Medical Commission's website published the "Diagnosis and Treatment of New Coronavirus Infected Pneumonia (Trial Fifth Edition)". To be determined ".

After an interval of 3 days, the aerosol transmission route was confirmed by the official Chinese health department.

The difference between aerosol and droplet transmission is the distance of transmission. Both droplets and contact infections occur within close range, while aerosols travel long distances, increasing the risk of contactless infection.

    Aerosol infection

The Chinese Lunar New Year's Lantern Festival, the health department warned that the virus is very spread among family members.

The Shanghai Health Department announced on February 8 that only 8 days and a half days, 5 new cases were confirmed, of which 2 were from overseas and 3 were residents of Shanghai. The total number of confirmed cases was 286.

Zeng Qun, deputy director of the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau, said at a press conference that the community is urged to pay attention to the prevention of clustered epidemics and to increase the awareness of family clustered epidemic prevention. The home epidemic prevention measures include:

    We must cancel all social gatherings and discourage relatives and friends in key epidemic areas from postponing their plans to Shanghai;

    *Normally open windows and more ventilation to maintain indoor air circulation;

    *Do daily household disinfection: wipe key points such as door handles, tables, chairs, and toilet seat cushions with 75% ethanol or chlorine-containing disinfectant;

    *Personal hygiene: Wash your hands with running water, soap or hand sanitizer before and after meals. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or elbow flexion when coughing or sneezing;

*Avoid air and contact transmission: Family members should avoid contact with body secretions of people with suspicious symptoms, and do not share personal daily necessities; during meals, chopsticks are divided into meals, eat fast, talk less, communicate with each other, avoid handshake and hugs, smile with hands etiquette.
Epidemic prevention experts also recommend that, as a precautionary measure, remember to put a toilet lid on the toilet before flushing it out of the suspected patient at home, which can greatly reduce the concentration of aerosols in the air.

After the spread of the Wuhan epidemic led to the Chinese authorities ’decision to block the city on January 23 to prevent epidemics, traffic in Wuhan, Hubei and surrounding provinces was severely affected. Airlines from multiple countries have suspended flights to and from Wuhan.

Wuhan, known as the "nine provinces' thoroughfare", is not only a transportation hub in China, but also a major industrial town in China. There are no statistics on the economic impact of the closure of Wuhan.

As Shanghai, the economic center of eastern China, if the epidemic is out of control, the impact on China and the world economy will be immeasurable.

    Hong Kong isolation measures

The pneumonia epidemic caused by the new coronavirus spreading from Wuhan has still not shown signs of abating. Epidemic prevention measures in many countries and regions in the world are also tightening.

From Saturday (8th) in Hong Kong, all people entering Hong Kong from mainland China, including Hong Kong residents and foreign visitors, must be quarantined for 14 days: at home, in a hotel room or in a government isolation center.

A total of 26 confirmed cases from Hong Kong to Friday. The strike by medical staff in Hong Kong, which began on February 3, was also suspended on Saturday.

From January 30 to February 4, the Hong Kong government closed 10 entry and exit ports with mainland China. In response to the recent tide of people buying food and household goods in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong government stated that the epidemic prevention and control measures will not affect the mainland and Hong Kong's freight traffic, and there is sufficient food supply. Outbreak

As of February 7, more than 30,000 people have been diagnosed with infection in China, and the death toll has exceeded 700.

According to the World Health Organization, 270 cases have occurred in more than 20 countries outside mainland China.

In Wuhan, China, an American citizen has died of a new coronavirus. This is believed to be the first foreigner to die from the virus infection. Media reports said that the 60-year-old American woman had other health problems before her death.

In addition, the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that a Japanese citizen who died in Wuhan Hospital had obvious symptoms of infection with the new coronavirus.

French health authorities have confirmed that five British tourists, four adults and one child, have been diagnosed with a virus in a ski area on the border between Italy and Switzerland in Haute-Savoie, eastern France. One of them has been to Singapore recently.

Three cases have been confirmed in the UK. Two of them were Chinese citizens, and the third was a British returning from Singapore.

Britain has so far withdrawn two groups of diasporas from China, both of which have been separated for 14 days.

About 150 people in the third batch of British evacuated people will leave China on Sunday (9th) and will be taken to a convention centre in Milton Keynes in central England for 14 days.

The UK Department of Health and Social Security announced that by Friday afternoon (7th) a total of 620 suspected cases had been detected in the UK and only 3 were confirmed.

If they want to us to trust in these institutions they have to prove themselves as genuinely credible. They started this situation with a big reservoir of good will, and they've systematically pissed that down the drain, what do they expect people to do other than look elsewhere?

    Here's some ideas:

Start being transparent, stop giving journalist the run around and provide real information and acknowledge the uncertainties we all know is in the data.

Be prepared to make difficult recommendations which may be diplomatically challenging to China - Eg. recommend stopping travel.

If you're going to make very strange advice which appears to contradict basic common sense (eg. we recommend continuation of travel) you must explain why, clearly and with evidence - otherwise people are going to assume they're in the pockets of the CCP.

Stop saying inane nonsense like 'not a time for panic' - there never is a good time for panic, be real and give the information straight and to the point.

This is how institutions erode their trust. Sadly, I worry Tedros Ghebreyesu will turn out to be the worst diversity hire in history.

In this speech today, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom said the following about circulating 'misinformation'. Read carefully and with interest.
    [extracted]
We are also engaging with search, social and digital companies such as Facebook, Google, Tencent, Baidu, Twitter, TikTok, Weibo, Pinterest and others. We are asking them to filter out false information and promote accurate information from credible sources like WHO, CDC and others. And we thank them for their efforts so far.

Finally, we are connecting with influencers, through Instagram and YouTube, among others, to help spread factual messages to their followers, with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region.

In essence, to fight the flood of misinformation, we are building a band of truth-tellers that disperse fact and debunk myths.
Thanks, Bill. From my research they are doing a really good job scrubbing any questions about the source of the virus, except the "live market" theory. That conveniently is allowed to stay. This of course defies logic since it is only a theory like the others, why does it get to continue as part of the narrative if they are so friggin concerned about facts? We are to rely on WHO and the good ol bought and paid for CDC for our information. I am trying to let go of the anger I am feeling at this moment. I knew the "conspiracy theorists" are nothing but nut cases would come in handy. Mark my words, it won't be long before questioning the prepared narrative will become a crime.

No matter how this virus started one thing for sure is that it will used to benefit our controllers.
I don't think this can stay in the bag, actually. The virus is hard to contain, but so is whatever the truth may be. My current feelings:
    • This will spread and spread. I doubt it can be stopped.
    • More and more independent, ethical, medically trained people (and research teams) will be asking good questions and reporting good information. Research papers in respected journals already state that it never originated from the market.
    • I'm increasingly wondering if China's dictatorship may fall. The entire country could implode socially and economically... the Chinese authorities' actions sure do look as if this is what their real fear may be.
Of course, we don't yet know what the 'misinformation' is that the WHO wants to stamp out — but we may have suspicions. There's a lot of difference between 'false information' about real numbers of cases and deaths, 'false information' about bat soup, and 'false information' about it possibly being a bioweapon. But we may be told a lot more about this WHO campaign in the next few days.
This seems unsettlingly close to what was originally stated in the Anglo Saxon Mission Project Camelot article from 2010.

"Biological weapons will be deployed against China. ‘China will catch a cold’."

What also resonates is the mention of Britain becoming a totalitarian police state. The increasingly draconian anti-terrorism laws have led a number of truth-seekers like Richard D Hall to question what he calls "state fabricated terror", by pointing out blatant acts of fakery in the recent Westminster Bridge attacks.

"In time of war Britain will become a totalitarian police state headed by a military government empowered through the City of London. I can be certain of this, and to which, people living in the UK remain, by and large, oblivious."

Four important tweets from Eric Feigl-Ding:

Officially airborne 🌬- Confirmed routes of the novel #coronavirus now includes aerosol transmission. “Aerosol transmission refers to the mixing of the virus with droplets in the air to form aerosols, which causes infection after inhalation”.

41% of first 138 patients at one hospital in Wuhan, China, were presumed to be infected in that hospital. This is big news- means that nearly half of the initial infections appear to have been spread within itself.

Current testing capacity among hospitals in Wuhan is 6000 samples/day, according to Wuhan officials. Capacity still increasing.

Preliminary findings reveal that remdesivir and chloroquine are highly effective in the control of #2019-nCoV infection in vitro.

If the virus aerosolizes... masks are important. There are no masks anywhere that I could find. BUT if you do have a mask, you have to use it properly. Also wrap around goggles needed. I heard about this strategy to use salt with a mask. Could you impregnate something else like layers of silk with salt?

Quote New surgical mask doesn't just trap viruses, it renders them harmless
Innovative improvement on surgical masks will make them effective by empowering them to kill viruses
    Date:
    January 5, 2017
    Source:
    University of Alberta
    Summary:
The surgical masks people wear to stop the spread of diseases don't work well -- that isn't what they're designed for. Pathogens like influenza are transmitted in aerosol droplets when we cough or sneeze. Masks trap the droplets but the virus remains infectious. Scientists took on the challenge of improving the masks, using salt to turn them into virus killers.

A University of Alberta engineering researcher has developed a new way to treat common surgical masks so they are capable of trapping and killing airborne viruses. His research findings appear in the journal Scientific Reports, published by Nature Publishing Group.

Hyo-Jick Choi, a professor in the University of Alberta Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, noticed that many people wear a simple surgical-style mask for protection during outbreaks of influenza or other potentially deadly viruses such as severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) or Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS).

Trouble is, the masks weren't designed to prevent the spread of viruses.

"Surgical masks were originally designed to protect the wearer from infectious droplets in clinical settings, but it doesn't help much to prevent the spread of respiratory diseases such as SARS or MERS or influenza," says Choi.

Airborne pathogens like influenza are transmitted in aerosol droplets when we cough or sneeze. The masks may well trap the virus-laden droplets but the virus is still infectious on the mask. Merely handling the mask opens up new avenues for infection. Even respirators designed to protect individuals from viral aerosols have the same shortcoming -- viruses trapped in respirators still pose risks for infection and transmission.

Masks capable of killing viruses would save lives, especially in an epidemic or pandemic situation. During the 2014-2015 season nearly 8,000 Canadians were hospitalized with the flu. That same year, deaths related to influenza in Canada reached an all-time high of nearly 600.

Knowing that the masks are inexpensive and commonly used, Choi and his research team went about exploring ways to improve the mask's filter. And this is where a problem he is struggling with in one field of research -- the development of oral vaccines like a pill or a lozenge -- became a solution in another area.

A major hurdle in the development of oral vaccines is that when liquid solutions dry, crystals form and destroy the virus used in vaccines, rendering the treatment useless. In a nifty bit of engineering judo, Choi flipped the problem on its head and turned crystallization into a bug buster, using it as a tool to kill active viruses.

Choi and his team developed a salt formulation and applied it to the filters, in the hope that salt crystals would "deactivate" the influenza virus.

The mechanics of simple chemistry make the treatment work. When an aerosol droplet carrying the influenza virus contacts the treated filter, the droplet absorbs salt on the filter. The virus is exposed to continually increasing concentrations of salt. As the droplet evaporates, the virus suffers fatal physical damage when the salt returns to its crystalized state.

While developing solid vaccines, Choi observed that sugar used for stabilizing the vaccine during the drying process crystalizes as it dries out. When crystals form, sharp edges and spikes take shape and they physically destroy the virus vaccine.

"We realized that we could use that to our advantage to improve surgical masks," said Choi.

In a series of experiments and tests at the University of Alberta and in the Department of Medical Zoology at the Kyung Hee University School of Medicine in Seoul, South Korea, the team arrived at a perfect treatment that improves the efficacy of the fibre filter inside the masks.

By using a safe substance (table salt) to improve an existing, approved product, Choi sees very few roadblocks to implementing the innovation.

The research was funded by the University of Alberta. Choi has been awarded a provisional patent for the development of virus deactivation systems based on the salt-crystallization mechanism.

I am placing a Conspiracy warning here... read at your own risk. May be a ridiculous concern OR......

When I heard a while back that the cases of the coronavirus may have appeared as early as way back in November, I recalled a percentage list that I had seen of travelers from Wuhans' destinations. It has 4% for the US from end of 2018 to Dec 2019. It crossed my mind that maybe some might have come in that time frame 11/2019 to 1/2020 with coronaviras illness already on board?

I recall that many people from Wuhan (I think i read 5 million?) were already out of town before quarantine. I also know that NYC and California is a big destination for Chinese visitors for the Lunar new year as relatives want to reconnect.

I read this question on Reddit

Quote Some things that are bothering. Maybe someone can help clear this up. I am reading this thing started in the beginning of December. Maybe even mid November. It takes 2 weeks to get symptoms and you spread it before hand. The other countries only just started monitoring this a few weeks ago right? So. If it started when they claim, why isn’t there people infected in the USA already before we found out about it. And if the deaths are suspected to be way higher, why aren’t there deaths already here since it spreads as fast as we know.

It just doesn’t seem to add up. If the conspiracy theories are true Wouldn’t we expect deaths already in other countries? This thing spread for over a month already.
    Then I found these articles:

    December 26, 2019 at 11:15 pm

How would we know if the illnesses are regular flu with pneumonia complications or coronvirus without testing. Lately there has been lots of media attention to flu deaths and "Please get your flu shot" announcements. A flu shot may actually increase risk for other respiratory illness?

Increased Risk of Noninfluenza Respiratory Virus Infections Associated With Receipt of Inactivated Influenza Vaccine

I have read that flu shots especially in the elderly have been associated anecdotally with rapid complications and deaths this year. But the CDC certainly is pushing flu shots in case of worry about coronavirus....

Should you get a flu shot to help with coronavirus anxiety?

If the virus is transmitted via aerosol I think the idea from the flu thread needs to be repeated here. Considering that iodine is antiviral Bill came up with a wonderful idea of making a water/iodine solution in a spray bottle and using the spray on a mask as a way of killing the virus. Please read his post on that thread for details. I came up with the idea of taking a bottle of saline nasal spray and adding iodine to it. My thought was to take a wad of cotton and permeate it with the solution and put it into each nostril. I think combining the 2 techniques would possibly be very effective in minimizing the risk of inhalation of the virus IF we are put in that position.

I tried the cotton ball technique with saline only and I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to breath, actually it felt quite good to the nasal passages. I was also able to easily add new solution to the cotton in my nose with the saline nasal spray bottle. I did not try the iodine/saline yet but I feel like this may be a very good possibility. Delight, will you weigh in with your opinion about these techniques? I am still unsure of how much iodine should be added to the saline, but I will do some research on that. If this worked it would be something that anyone can do with minimal supplies.

I am very interested in iodine but not sure of dosages. My intuition is 10% povidone iodine solution would be really important for hand washing and I have read about povidone iodine mouth wash and swabs before. Apparently it neutralizes viral load of SARS, MERS and kills bacteria. I have some Lugols solution and also some clear iodine. i am not sure that swabbing the nasal cavity would work for us as I heard it did when mouse noses were swabbed?

Somewhere I came across a statement by a natural healthcare MD that for people with thyroid issues, iodine internally can be a problem. Not sure as am no expert. I like the idea of spraying masks except when they get wet, that is an issue so it would need to be light I think. There are no masks available for my area and I think all over the US. I am curious about how to substitute FOR a mask? I am still looking at the salt application as an idea. One could soak a silk "mask" in saline/iodine solution and let dry?

They seem to be disinfecting entire cities now which is preventative step that can reduce spread of infection dramatically,
far better idea than rounding people who are already sick or infected in hospitals and other centres where human accumulation is so huge it almost guarantees that everybody coming in will be eventually ill.

China dispatched bleach trucks to spray down cities

I believe that every person/patient have to be treated individually. People who do not need to be hospitalised should have stayed home with their families and supplied medicines.
It’s almost ridiculous to discount presence of other “colds” ( bacterial, viral or neither) in the long cold northern winter. Month of February is notorious for pneumonia cases among the elderly suffering through long winter colds.

Perhaps governments mistreat such situations as their PR show?

I can imagine hospital with ten thousand beds. Sure Reminds me of Bodhgaya 2002. There were 100 thousand people on the ground tucked in relatively small space.
TBC medicines were sold on the street market as many of the Tibetan refugee community got infected due to lack of immunity and sanitation after coming to India,
more than half century ago. From humane perspective the situation was risky if not slightly inhumane.

Personal advice ..from many years of having to deal with aka sterile ( not literarily, there are very few such) and non-sterile environments( outside, city, schools n work, wildlife etc) is follow your personal decontamination protocol everyday.
No matter what happens outside, what you have breathed, touched or accidentally swallowed, come back to your “unit”,
put all your daily wear to washing machine, take proper hot shower. In case of possible contamination, wipe yourself down with towels or cotton swabs soaked in disinfection then take another shower. Brush teeth and gargle. Clean ears, don’t forget to wash hair since they harbour majority of air pollutants.
Don’t be distracted on how much the disinfection costs or how it’s going to kill you, unless you suffer from allergy reaction.

Beware of allergy to iodine is common and also not recommended for those with low thyroid function.

There are many types of non-iodine disinfections available these days, silver ion based ones could be one of the best but do not work out “everything”.

Well anyway, the protocol does not stop there, swipe your handbags, wash your shoes and basically every surface that came from outside. Do the same for every item in your “unit” at least once and then whenever you feel it’s necessary.

It’s quite comfortable at the end I can say and most importantly, it’s also quite efficient.

I dislike paranoia very much but when I had to go to hospitals or go through the city and public traffic in seasons, this was the only way I could keep myself away from it.

Being one person it’s easy of course, if you are more than one and the other people won’t agree to follow the same protocol it’s more difficult but then,
it is important to stay in small units with people who are agreeable with you( any such LOL).

In case of global situation such as we have now n then...

I’ve seen here in India where “purification protocols” are ancient, well known for thousands of years and followed by clean civilised people daily and ritually or not,
it works. People now learned to handle a measure of modern disinfectants of their choice plus using traditional herbal cleaners and purifiers.

In case of elevated danger such as now, it’s common wisdom to clean everything coming from “outside” times more than usually, eat “pure foods”, and follow rules of safe social protocol better.
It’s also important to eat more vitamins, don’t run out of energy- it’s cold month of February and your organism is naturally fatigued after long winter.

Focus on getting fresh fruits and veggies everyday, less breads or rice, reduce sugar in general, maintain standard protein intake. Be happy about what is still available to us, gifts of Mother Nature.

Be happy as possible is certainly one way to develop better immunity.

(If not happy ...repeat the protocol ..3 times )

Also in any epidemic, some treatments make everything worse. Fever is really a good thing so unless it is so high that convulsing is an issue (with children esp. and then bathing with tepid water is needed), one is better off bearing the discomfort. Recently I have been alerted to acetaminophen as a dangerous though OTC anti-pyretic. Looks like aspirin was very destructive in 1917 flu....

    Abstract
The high case-fatality rate—especially among young adults—during the 1918–1919 influenza pandemic is incompletely understood. Although late deaths showed bacterial pneumonia, early deaths exhibited extremely “wet,” sometimes hemorrhagic lungs. The hypothesis presented herein is that aspirin contributed to the incidence and severity of viral pathology, bacterial infection, and death, because physicians of the day were unaware that the regimens (8.0–31.2 g per day) produce levels associated with hyperventilation and pulmonary edema in 33% and 3% of recipients, respectively. Recently, pulmonary edema was found at autopsy in 46% of 26 salicylate-intoxicated adults. Experimentally, salicylates increase lung fluid and protein levels and impair mucociliary clearance. In 1918, the US Surgeon General, the US Navy, and the Journal of the American Medical Association recommended use of aspirin just before the October death spike. If these recommendations were followed, and if pulmonary edema occurred in 3% of persons, a significant proportion of the deaths may be attributable to aspirin.
and finally here is evidence that CCP wants to flush out and detain anyone who may have infection. If the virus is so easily transmitted, anyone sent to large scale detention if not already ill will become so. This is madness or is it genocidal?

Quote One city’s plan for getting people to the doctor: don’t let them buy medicine -NYTimes - 02/08/2020
    Local Report
    https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/08/w...rus-china.html

Hangzhou, a Chinese city with a population of 10 million, said it would temporarily ban the sale of flu and cough medicine at pharmacies, in an effort to compel people who might be sick to see a doctor.

In a statement, which was issued at midnight Friday and took effect immediately, the local government said the policy was created to “strengthen the supervision of those with fevers and coughs.”

To stop the spread of the coronavirus, the Chinese authorities have taken increasingly draconian measures to curb travel, impose social distancing and track those who might be sick. Several cities in the eastern province of Zhejiang, including some sections of Hangzhou, have set limits on how often people can leave their houses, generally allowing one person to leave every few days to buy groceries. Paper passports have been printed to keep tabs on residents.

As such restrictions have increased, so have people’s fears about being suspected to have the virus. Some have complained that hotels set up for quarantines do little to separate people who are already sick from those who have no symptoms, but who are from an area that experienced an outbreak. In recent weeks, several articles in Chinese news media have told of people who used medicine to suppress coronavirus symptoms to pass through the country’s now ubiquitous fever-screening checkpoints. Online, many people vented frustration about Hangzhou’s ban on medicine sales, though some said it was a good way to identify cases of the coronavirus that otherwise might not surface.

“Good, I strongly support this,” wrote one user, calling for the elimination of “every possible loophole that could spread the virus.”

Some wondered what those with chronic illnesses were supposed to do if they couldn’t get medicine they needed to relieve their symptoms. Others worried that the policy would speed the spread of the virus by forcing many more people to go to hospitals, where some carriers of the virus would likely be. Many have been alarmed by images from Wuhan of packed hospital waiting areas.

“Going to the hospital for a regular cold?” wrote one skeptical user. “What if you go to the hospital and get infected?”

The government in China are now locking people in their own homes. Every dwelling in China- the door opens only outward and all windows have bars.

"This is in the city of Hangzhou.

It's a top-tier city with a number of military bases. When I was living in Hangzhou a few years ago I would often see army convoys going to and from maneuvers.

Hangzhou is about a third the size of London but with the same population- approx. 9.5 million.

The difference here though is that the area is mostly agriculture with tea plantations surrounding a compact commercial area.

Most of the occupancies are three-story detached houses. All the apartment high-rises are in the city-centre and they're not as many as other cities in China.

With this and the military I can see this lockdown easily achieved.
    "

See my post #280, referencing a caller to the Infowars War Room at the end of January, a Navy Veteran who works for the DIA.

He ("David") pointed out that the mass heavy-duty disinfecting of the streets would seem to show that the Chinese know something about the virus that others don't know (or didn't at that early stage): that
    1. it was airborne, and
    2. would (or might) adhere to all kinds of surfaces.
Those aspects of the virus would be included in what Dr Francis Boyle has referred to as purposefully engineered "gain of function".

Yes, that's pretty strange. Welding doors shut is hard to explain. A padlock would be easier and cheaper! (And of course means the door can be opened again.)

I'd very much doubt people are being welded into apartments. Even by the brutal Chinese authorities. They'd simply die.

More likely is that the apartments are now empty, and they're being welded shut to prevent anyone else entering an infected area. (But maybe of note here, see my post just above: this could be further indication that the Chinese know all about the "gain of function" of the virus, to remain live and infectious even when all humans have left an area.)

Iodine and the 1918 Influenza Pandemic

Dr. David Derry, MD, wrote a very interesting article entitled “Iodine: the Forgotten Weapon Against Influenza Viruses”. The abstract of his article is shown below.

    “Abstract.

After the 1918 Influenza Pandemic which killed an estimated 30 million people, governments financed research on the Pandemic’s causes. Over 25 years, influenza viruses were isolated and methods for killing them with various agents discovered. Iodine was the most effective agent for killing viruses, especially influenza viruses. Aerosol iodine was found to kill viruses in sprayed mists, and solutions of iodine were equally effective. In 1945, Burnet and Stone found that putting iodine on mice snouts prevented the mice from being infected with live influenza virus in mists. They suggested that impregnating masks with iodine would help stop viral spread. They also recommended that medical personnel have iodine-aerosol-treated rooms for examination and treatment of highly infected patients. Current methods of dealing with influenza infection are isolation, hand washing, antiviral drugs, and vaccinations. All of these methods can be improved by incorporating iodine into them. When impregnated with iodine, masks become much more effective, and hand washing is more effect when done with mild iodine solutions. Isolation techniques coupled with aerosol iodine would make them safer for patients, medical personnel, and all persons working with the public. Public health authorities could organize the distribution of iodine and at the same time educate the public in the effective use of iodine. Oral iodine might also boost body defense mechanisms in the upper oral and respiratory mucus.

I have been researching the use of iodine/saline as a nasal spray to kill the corona virus and found numerous accounts of it being done for fungal, viral and bacterial purposes. the 3M company even makes a product of this to kill MRSA that has colonized in the nasal passages. It seems that the 10% povidine iodine seems to be the go to iodine for diluting with saline into nasal passages as it is not irritating to the nasal passages. Of course making sure you are not internally deficient will also be of great benefit to your immune system.

I will be adding a couple drops to a small bottle of prepared nasal saline to have on hand if needed.
