    Default The UK left the European Union on 31 Jan, 2020.

    Folks, I wanted to just bring this to everyone's attention, especially to our friends in North America, Australia and elsewhere. (I'll merge it with the main Brexit thread tomorrow.)

    Today is Brexit day. The official timing of leaving the EU is 11 pm in the UK, midnight in Europe.

    Nigel Farage’s final speech to European Parliament cut short after he waves flag:

    Nigel Farage: 'I will miss being pantomime villain of the EU after Brexit'

    As a Dutch person I wish we had someone that comes close to Nigel Farage in The Netherlands sooner!

    And now, having failed to destroy Britain with immigration, Germany will work on getting Scotland to leave the UK.

    I have to admit. I never in a thousand years believed it would actually happen. I imagine this opens the door for many other possibilities. One stone on the grave of the globalist agenda.

    Now which globalist agenda would that be – for there would appear to be more than one? As I pointed out the other day, the Brexit show has been run by the same people as were behind the so-called “Anglo-Saxon Mission”. That agenda was supposed to come to fruition in 2012, a year famous for nothing untoward happening. Surprise surprise, the Brexit bandwagon really got rolling in 2013. Since then, the big new gambit has been to get a sizeable portion of the alternative scene behind the very people they should be objecting to.

    It seems logical to me that as countries who realize they pull a disproportionate weight move to exit the EU, we see a domino effect. The UK being the first... I wonder what the UK bookies have as an "over/under" for the dissolution of the EU? I would make it January 31, 2027 at even odds.

    And knowing the Dutch the way I do, I can see that happening sooner than later. In general, the Dutch hate wasting money more than anyone on the planet.

    Finally!!
    Now all we need to do is detach from the UK parliament and we might get nearer democracy.. which in effect would be benign anarchy floated on a reinvigorated psychedellic renaissance. Just musing

    Default Re: The UK left the European Union on 31 Jan, 2020.

    This is just a single step, albeit a major and symbolic one for all the people who have objected to the European project for a very long time. In many senses this can be thought of as the United Kingdom's Independence Day.
    In other peoples eyes it will not be viewed that way at all. Either way, the work has just begun.
    The imperative now, for those who have opposed the forces of globalism, will be to watch the negotiations between the U.K. and the E.U. very closely over the next twelve months. I can tell you that regaining control of your own fishing rights, your own territorial waters, your own pace of immigration, and your own justice system will all be paramount. On the other hand, the E.U. will seek to limit the U.K.'s ability to become a fair competitor of any kind. It will tie the establishment of any future trade deals with the bloc to the U.K. adopting the very policies which drove the U.K. out of the E.U. in the first place. In a way, this process will be enlightening. The next months will slowly reveal WHOM in the British government is actually serious about creating a strong, and independent Britain. For my part, any step away from centralized control is a step in the right direction. So we shall have to see.
    I can tell you that tonight, My family and I will be enjoying a thoughtful drink in celebration of a battle won,
    with the full understanding that there is a big difference between winning a battle, and winning the war.
    Peace and prosperity to Ole Blighty!
    “Someday after mastering winds, waves, tides and gravity, we shall harness the energies of love. And then, for the second time in the history of the world, man will discover fire.”

    When Britain first, at Heaven's command
    Arose from out the azure main;
    This was the charter of the land,
    And guardian angels sang this strain:
    "Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
    "Britons never will be slaves."

    The nations, not so blest as thee,
    Must, in their turns, to tyrants fall;
    While thou shalt flourish great and free,
    The dread and envy of them all.

    "Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
    "Britons never will be slaves."

    Still more majestic shalt thou rise,
    More dreadful, from each foreign stroke;
    As the loud blast that tears the skies,
    Serves but to root thy native oak.
    "Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
    "Britons never will be slaves."

    Thee haughty tyrants ne'er shall tame:
    All their attempts to bend thee down,
    Will but arouse thy generous flame;
    But work their woe, and thy renown.

    "Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
    "Britons never will be slaves."

    To thee belongs the rural reign;
    Thy cities shall with commerce shine:
    All thine shall be the subject main,
    And every shore it circles thine.
    "Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
    "Britons never will be slaves."

    The Muses, still with freedom found,
    Shall to thy happy coast repair;
    Blest Isle! With matchless beauty crown'd,
    And manly hearts to guard the fair.
    "Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
    "Britons never will be slaves."

    Not many politicians family members work in the Honda Swindon factory or the Nissan factory in Sunderland or in Jaguar Land Rover plants.

    If they did Brexit would probably look very different. Democracy has been exposed not respected. Decisions being made which will never affect the powerful elite.

    A close German friend of mine who works translating between the Spanish Seat factory car plants and VW Head Office told me how in one meeting they discussed a larger plan to chip away at the Car industry in Britain because they will be weaker after Brexit. He told me how a Trade War between the EU and Britain would start after Brexit.

    The EU has already planned to destabilise Britain. Firstly because it will make the EU stronger and secondly, it would scare off future attempts of EU separation. Post Brexit Britain has to fail. It won“t be difficult because Britain is distancing itself from the largest trading bloc in the world and its No.1 export partner.

    Celebrations erupt!!!!

    This photo doing the rounds on social media is actually of LIverpool football club celebrating winning the European Cup. It is not a Brexit party.

    This is actually what Parliament Square looks like.

    I wonder if a Remain party would have been as exciting as this one???

    Oh also, I have a friend there, in London at the event, they said the atmosphere is amazing. I'm not in London, but where I am fireworks are going off everywhere.

    I am sure it is an amazing event. Let's Zoom into it and listen to these well-informed voters.
