Default "People who rely on Fox News ‘are not informed citizens’"

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...source=twitter

Jon Kelly does not feel positive about Rupert Murdochs Propaganda organization.

I find it interesting how many people will decry the MSM then watch Rupert Murdoch Propaganda Organization like it isnt MSM. These are the same people that gave the Neo Cons all the cover for the Bush II crimes. Rupert Murdochs Propaganda Organization barely qualifies as opinions let alone journalism.

I think this about sums it up

    Says SUPER BIAS "Washington ComPost"!

    • The Liberal Bias of the Washington Post’s Style Section

    Jeff Bezos era (2013–present)

In 2013 Jeff Bezos purchased the Washington Post for US $250 million cash. The newspaper is now owned by Nash Holdings LLC controlled by Bezos. The sale also included some other local publications, websites and real estate. After the sale the Washington Post Co. became Graham Holdings Company

Bezos said he has a vision that recreates "the 'daily ritual' of reading the Post as a bundle, not merely a series of individual stories..." He has been described as a "hands-off owner," holding teleconference calls with executive editor Martin Baron every two weeks. Bezos appointed Fred Ryan (founder and CEO of Politico) to serve as publisher and chief executive officer. This signaled Bezos’ intent to shift the Post to a more digital focus with a national and global readership.

In 2014, the Post announced it was moving from 1150 15th Street to a leased space three blocks away at One Franklin Square on K Street. In recent years the Post launched an online personal finance section, as well as a blog and a podcast with a retro theme.

In November 2007, the newspaper was criticized by independent journalist Robert Parry for reporting on anti-Obama chain e-mails without sufficiently emphasizing to its readers the false nature of the anonymous claims. In 2009, Parry criticized the newspaper for its allegedly unfair reporting on liberal politicians, including Vice President Al Gore and President Barack Obama.

Responding to criticism of the newspaper's coverage during the run-up to the 2008 presidential election, former Post ombudsman Deborah Howell wrote: "The opinion pages have strong conservative voices; the editorial board includes centrists and conservatives; and there were editorials critical of Obama. Yet opinion was still weighted toward Obama."

According to a 2009 Oxford University Press book by Richard Davis on the impact of blogs on American politics, liberal bloggers link to The Washington Post and The New York Times more often than other major newspapers; however, conservative bloggers also link predominantly to liberal newspapers.

In mid-September 2016, Matthew Ingram of Forbes joined Glenn Greenwald of The Intercept, and Trevor Trimm of The Guardian in criticizing The Washington Post for "demanding that [former National Security Agency contractor Edward] Snowden ... stand trial on espionage charges".

In December 2016, The Post published a story inaccurately stating that a Russian hacking operation had infiltrated the U.S. electrical grid; the claim was retracted in a revised version of the story, after the initial version had been widely circulated.

In February 2017, the Post adopted the slogan "Democracy Dies in Darkness" for its masthead.

Since 2011, the Post has been running a column called "The Fact Checker" that the Post describes as a "truth squad."

The "Fact Checker" received a $250,000 grant from Google News Initiative/YouTube to expand production of video "fact checks".

I think an important word here might be 'rely'. Anyone who 'relies' on ANY single news platform, on any issue at all, might be unwise.

For instance, I'm currently following the coronavirus outbreak very closely. I have multiple pinned tabs open. Those include CNN, the BBC, NTD News, and the South China Morning Post, as well Natural News and a number of YouTube channels such Chris Martenson and MedCram (both of whom present good medical and/or up-to-date news information, but who also recommend vaccines).

Once I find one news item in one source, I usually check it out in a bunch of others to judge the correct balance and accuracy. (If possible! )

I am reminded of that great quote by Mark Twain -

"If you don't read the newspapers you're uninformed. If you read the newspaper, you're misinformed."

The more things change the more they stay the same.

All the news agencies and reporting agencies tell fantasy narratives based on their own agenda but the thing is it's one guy behind the scenes with two arms, a democratic arm and a republican arm and that dude punches us with the left sometimes and at other times the right! Being that it is just one entity behind both sides all the players running the mainstream narratives demanded by the entity work in unison with each other toward a single goal!

That goal is ultimately the New World Order which they know everyone stands in the way of so they create a situation where the old world order is so bad, so disastrous, so uncomfortable that when the idea of a reboot and change is presented the people want it very badly. At this point the idea is not just accepted but demanded by the people! Then they have them right where they want them for the entity they serve, poised and ready to jump right in with both feet to a new system that is much better and of course 'run by the people' to give back to the people what is rightfully theirs Yada Yada Yada and the next thing you know the people that were so afraid and against the NWO have now instigated it and brought it upon themselves!

So essentially I see Q as a mouthpiece to coax the people into wanting the change, wanting the old system to die, demanding that justice be done and we fix it and it's all a disguise for what they have been working toward all along that precious New World Order where one bank controls all the resources of the entire planet, and the currency, wealth, lands, titles, deeds and more with the people nothing less than cannon fodder and pawns. I see most of the recent Q posts as being akin to cheer leading to lead the flock right into the NWO when the time is right.
The genius consistently stands out from the masses in that he unconsciously anticipates truths of which the population as a whole only later becomes conscious! Speech-circa 1937

It is almost impossible to comment on a post when you can't read the article. The Washington Post would like me to become a subscriber before they allow access (even in incognito). I would imagine the video you posted has no correlation to the actual story. If you want to copy and post the article or least the main points that would be helpful.

my view on trump and all media is quite different than i hear from people. after being and voting democrat all my adult life, I like that this outsider has arrived. trump was created by us. yes, the reality tv watching infomercial watching pro wrestling celebrity addicted citizen who can't get enough shock and awe. ask yourself how a non politician , tv side show barker Pt Barnum could walk his way thru an entire republican field of presidential hopefuls, and then continue on to beat the dems and become president ? And if so bad, why does he have the democratic party at wits end only running on defeating him, not running at all on a platform to offer anyone? joe biden said today that mickey mouse could beat trump. really? that may be true, but Joe Biden can't. where does that leave Joe? the polarity poles must have flipped. trump is the one averting war , trying to bring troops home. democrats were the ones for free speech and expression when i was in school. now they are closed minded , intolerant , hateful and angry as hell and the college campus is a most dangerous place to disagree. So i started watching Fox for entertainment , something I never did. And guess what,I discovered they are more fair and balanced then all the rest. they have counterpoint, bring on people with opposite views, and have their own members call out and challenge trump many times. can't find that on MSNBC with their stable thats for sure. everything is opposite now. so i came to the realization that we are witnessing a phenomena , a shft and a precursor to major growth. I'm optimistic .not hating anyone left or right. just observing and watching where things go. if all the names were removed and all talk taken down and we just looked at the metricks , things don't look that bad. just my opinion, and subject to change.

Autumn W well said and thanks. One of the most valuable things we can share with each other is an actual true and real account of how we truly think and feel. Not one calculated for agreement ,acceptance and response.
In many arenas, the enlightenment and UFO community being one of them, I hear "all is one", "we are one", followed by divisiveness and separation form the same person 10 minutes later. Ive learned to never speak with a certitude in anything, simply because I know very little about anything. So share your honest view and give a laugh to yourself as well. Btw Love Donna Brazil once liberal mouthpiece for MSNBC, now working with Fox. Gotta laugh, money makes the mare go.

You're welcome, Doug. I think it must be very frustrating for Trump supporters to have to listen to the Center Left go on about the glories of the Clintons and Obama on MSNBC. But nobody on this forum is in that camp. There's noone I dislike more than warmonger Rachel Maddow and the other warmongers representing corporations.

CNN and the lot of them are as trustworthy as well....Fox news. Fox is just more dumbed down. Fox endorsement of Trump is very telling. A true radical revolutionary would NOT garner their support. Their corporate advertisers wouldn't tolerate it.

So to have a member volley a series of anti-CNN YouTube cannonballs back in response to a video lampooning Fox is a bit witless.

Doug, you have spent countless hours honoring whistleblowers with your incredible paintings. I am having great difficulty in understanding how you can honor a man that put 2 of them in prison - Assange and Manning.

There are around 1000 US military locales, from full bases to small black ops torture centers, all around the world. Trump championed the expansion of the military industrial complex, and brags that his administration allocated more money to militarism than any other US president. "Troops" (that disgusting euphemism for human soldiers) are not "coming home", they are strategically moved around. (And when the military has used them up, they are generally ignored and have an incredibly high suicide rate. The partial exodus from Iraq is an example of not coming home, and the mercenaries and equipment are being moved into Syria. Trump championed torture - he was remarkably candid about it when campaigning. This isn't a person worthy to polish the shoes of the whistleblowers you have painted.

There is an often repeated meme that Trump is an outsider. Like Nelson Rockefeller (vice president of the US from 1974 to 1977), Trump is an outsider to politics, but not an outsider to the oligarchs Global Corporate Network. The GCN controls all current politicians. Every. Single. One. No person is allowed to gain high office that is not part of and loyal to the bigger, more powerful control layer - the Global Corporate Network. Being an outsider to politics is meaningless when the person is controlled by the GCN. Surely you see that.

The criminal/mobster/corrupt/and tied to the Global Corporate Network, Democrats exposing themselves and being exposed is not a metric to measure their difference from the criminal/mobster/corrupt/and tied to the Global Corporate Network, Republicans. I have said for years that the difference between these political parties is that the Democrats are better liars, better at pretending that they are on the side of citizens and the environment, and the Republicans will look directly into the camera and admit that they stand on the side of corporations and that humans and the environment are collateral damage that need to be sacrificed for "business." But they all do the same thing: advance the agenda of the oligarchs.

I don't want you to feel attacked for your opinions, I just can't understand how you so clearly see and honor the whistleblowers, and somehow seem to elevate Trump into that status.
