This lets them off far too easy in my opinion. I would prefer to see prosecutions from authorities, and jail time.
Another troubling thing about this video is that if one private citizen can take out an illegal call center and actually help people get their money back why in the world can’t the FCC, FBI or some other law enforcement agency, or perhaps the credit card companies, devote some resources to doing the same? Looks to be a relatively easy, though time consuming, process. I get these calls EVERY day!! Heck, if this guy started his own non profit and made this his career, I would support it.

Jim Browning is great! Just an unassuming, quietly spoken Ulsterman calmly and methodically taking down these scam centres, all the while gathering detailed intelligence on how these people operate. That the Indian authorities haven't acted more decisively and robustly on his evidence is incomprehensible. There is one particularly gut wrenching video where an elderly American does not seem to fully grasp what Browning is trying to tell him, and he goes and does what the scammers say anyway. Apparently even the local police department was helpless to intervene on his behalf.

I recommend subscribing to his YouTube feed (they are very educational) or even sponsor him via his Patreon link: https://www.patreon.com/JimBrowning

Another interesting and wildly funny YouTube channel is ScammerRevolts, who becomes incapacitated with laughter each time he tells the scammers how he has managed to delete all their desktop files. Less effective in my opinion than Jim Browning's forensic approach but entertaining all the same:

I like the idea of these guys trying to bring the scamming sites down. Despite the owner of the renowncomputer.com claiming that they will bring their system down, it is still up and still in business:

Most likely it will take a strong legal course of action to actually bring this site down.

On a lighter note (if that is possible with these scoundrels), and quite funny at times as the scammer/s gets more and more frustrated
as they try and scam "Lenny"
Lenny is a collection of recorded messages designed to fool telemarketers into thinking they are talking to a real person.
This is just one of many videos in the "Lenny" series....

    More good news...

Jim Browning is soon to be featured in a BBC Panorama investigation into this very same scam call centre. I can't wait until it comes out.

Using his customary technical wizardry, and with the help of a fellow YouTuber from New Zealand who happens to reside in the same area as the call centre, Browning managed to infiltrate the CCTV of the scam call centre to get an unprecedented look into what these places actually look like and how they operate, as well as drone footage of the building which is cleverly located atop a legit travel agency.

Lol that was brilliant. My new personal hero. My favourite comment:

This reminds me back in the days, when setting up a few voip servers (i.e. computer that route phone calls).
I came across a so-called telemarketers torture script which was basically an automated number routing system which would keep the telemarketer for a very long time in a maze of endless choices with the end result of a very desperate and tired sales man.

"Monsanto (Bayer) loses a huge crop damage lawsuit that could lead to billions in payouts!Have you heard of the term Dicamba? Well, I didn't, until Monsanto created genetically engineered crops that were resistant to this other herbicide, not just Roundup but also Dicamba. They were warned up and down by experts that this would get them in trouble.

On February 15th, 2020, a jury awarded a peach farmer, $265 million in a lawsuit against Monsanto and their partner BASF for introducing Dicamba resistant seeds. In this podcast Jeffrey describes how this is extremely significant and that it, combined with other evidence that we now have, could be the payback to Monsanto that we've been looking for.
