    Help me decide my treatment

Saturday, I was diagnosed with mastastazied cancer. I have a large tumor in my liver and others elsewhere. My big question now is chemo or natural therapy. I have begun reading, but there is so much out there.

Dear Warren, so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I found the Truth about Cancer website (the truthaboutcancer.com) and series of 9 films "THe Truth about Cancer - A Global Quest" very informative. Episode 2 is on youtube free:

I bought the digital download of the 9 films for $77 and they are full of great information and advice and testimonies of people who have recovered from the various cancers they had. It is always my recommended starting point. I hope it can help you in your decision how to proceed, Jonathan

Some time ago, I saw a documentary on a specialized diet, wherein you combine superdoses of vitamin c (or was it d?), in tandem with a 100% plant based diet of a wide variety of raw fruits and veggies, consumed as juice. The keys were that all produce is fresh and 100% organic, of high quality, and the juicer a masticater, rather than a traditional centrifugal pulverizer. Also...coffee enemas. So there's that.

Supposedly, this is highly effective in combating cancers of all kinds; many people who were told they were terminal tried this and have made full recoveries.

It's called Gerson Therapy. Here's their website.

    https://gerson.org/gerpress/

They have centers/resort type setups, so if money isn't too much of an issue, you would go to one of their nature reserve centers for a few months, where you'll be closely monitored by medical professionals, as well as all the juices you'll need using produce from their onsite farm. They also have resources on doing it yourself.

I saw this documentary a number of years ago, so don't take my advice with too much weight, but it can't hurt to at least look into.

I'd also focus on self/energetic/shamanic healing. I've heard some miracle stories. Do tread lightly, though. That world is full of charlatans.

Finally, I'd look into psychedelics, to make this whole nightmare easier on you. There has been tremendous research done into the use of ayahuasca, psilocybin, and other hallucinogens for therapeutic purposes, particularly for those who need to face their mortality. I have a copy of a book that goes in-depth about this, from a scientific perspective (without being reductive/materialist). Let me know if you'd like a copy, and I'll work on getting it scanned and emailed to you.

Above all, try and stay positive.

    Best of luck to you.

Warren, OMG. This is very very tough.

There's an excellent thread here, containing a LOT of info that may be very helpful.
And on this remarkable and moving thread, greatly loved former member Shadowself (Brook Schiner) openly shared her arduous personal journey through cancer diagnosis and chemotherapy. She was a real warrior in absolutely every sense, but sadly she didn't make it.
There may be a couple of things that may be valuable in there.
    1. How she responded physically and emotionally to the course of treatment she chose.
    2. The MANY MANY supportive posts on the thread offering advice of every kind.

Hi Warren, cancer is never good, nor are tumors, but I strongly believe you can recover your health again!

You likely feel overwhelmed at the moment, from the diagnosis and all the potential solutions.

One small and simple thing you can do right this moment, and it will cost next to nothing, is begin drinking baking soda mixed in water. I won't bombard you with the literature. It's all out there if you want to read it. The information suggests to me that, at the very least it's worth a shot!

With that one small act you are now off to the races. Perhaps while you are googling for info, you could be sipping the baking soda solution at the same time. Maybe the most important thing about this action is that you are now being proactive, not reactive. You're taking charge, and that's mentally and emotionally and physically empowering.

Why wait to take that first step? Take it now! Even if it's just a symbolic act, it's vitally important. Doesn't even have to be the baking soda...could be something else. But getting your head right for the journey is half the battle, at least.

From there, your options are endless my friend. It's easy to get lost in those options, but better to have a whole lot than very little.

My advice is this: whatever you choose to do, give it as much time as you can before moving on to the next potential solution. In other words, don't spread yourself too thin. Stay calm and disciplined and organized about it. Keep a journal. Focus your energies on 3 or 4 things and do them right instead of diluting them among 9 or 10 or 11.

There is some value in all kinds of energy healing, but any kind of physical illness requires as it's number 1 priority, nutrition - in the form of food and nutritional supplements. I would start there and focus there very strongly before doing anything else. There's only so much energy to go around when you're ill, so best to use it wisely.

I know you can do this! It'll be a bumpy journey but it's very possible!

Warren. What can I say. Sending you love and hope your angels are guiding you and protecting you as much as they can. I haven’t been here in a while and first thing I see when I log is this awful news. Anything I can do to help, Please ask. Are you still in Ecuador ? Thinking of you and sending healing prayers your way.

    Hi Warren,
really sad to hear your news and thanks for all you do for Bill and on Avalon!

I am no expert, but if I was in that position, I would be looking at the prognosis with and without chemo, plus the effect of a short delay to try some non toxic stuff.

It would depend whether you could get to(or afford) one of those Mexical alternative clinics which are allegedly good.

it would also depend on whether you could access some of the best 'alternative' substances quickly.

my approach would be to research the possible scenario where you delay conventional treatment slightly IF you can access the other substances, because using them would reduce the growths down alot.

in that scenario, the reduced tumours might illicit a different approach from conventional medicine, or at least give it a better chance to work.

    please don't go!

I am so sorry, Warren. As previously recommended the Gerson therapy or the Hippocrates institute are wonderful natural methods. The Hippocrates institute uses a multipronged natural approach. It is in the US. If I developed cancer I would definitely choose the Hippocrates institute.

Hi Warren, so sorry to hear your news, that's a tough load to carry.

I have two friends who cured themselves of cancer, forgoing chemo in the process. One used diet - Gerson Therapy and the other dosed on colostrum, chaga mushrooms and lipisomal vit. C, lipisomal being similar in effect to intravenous shots.

If you do choose chemo I would highly recommend supplementing with Essiac tea from a good supplier as this will strengthen your system and give protection from the side effects of the treatment.

Stay positive, you can do this!

Sorry to hear of your diagnosis, Warren. I know what it's like because I was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2002.

What happened is my intuition kicked in strongly to lead me in a good direction. My intuition told me I would die from the chemo and radiation more than from the cancer. The doctors told me I would die if I did not have chemo and radiation. It was scary, but my journey first led me to seek advice from more than one medical doctor with good results achieved without chemo and/or radiation.

I also knew I needed to do much more than what medical doctors told me, so I was led to the work of Aajonus Vonderplanitz, who teaches us to not be afraid of our body. He provides information on how the body works and how various foods work, so we can then use our intuition to put the two together. The proper nutrition strengthens our body to help remove the underlying cause of cancer and prevent it in the future.

One important thing to know is that Aajonus would never work with anyone who had chemo and/or radiation because it so destroyed the body it could never recover from it. I was certainly thankful my intuition had guided me away from that!

Proper nutrition is a term that is open to much debate. My experience is that each one of us is unique. We must listen to our own intuition about what is best for us and not go by what someone else tells us. This realization has been formed over more than 50 years of studying nutrition, mainly because of my own on-going health issues.

The best part of the cancer is that it got me on track to my optimum health using the ideas presented by Aajonus, whose advice comes from his actual experience working with thousands of people and not just theoretical.

Aajonus had cancer himself and was able to cure it using his own methods. Unfortunately he had a fatal accident in August, 2013, so he is no longer here to help guide us personally. There is much info on his website. If you subscribe, you will have access to every recorded thing he ever said or wrote.

Here is a short sample from the video workshop available on the website that begins with a testimonial.
Best wishes for a successful outcome, Warren, whatever you decide to do.
I know it is a lot to deal with. Catherine

    Warren,

I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis of a cancer. I did some research today about liver cancer and it appears that 5 year survival rate for most liver cancer patients is not good.

That being said, I was diagnosed with a rare primary gallbladder cancer in March of 2016. I described my story about my cancer journey in this post. In the OP of that thread is also good information, as well as in other postings in that thread.

I beat cancer with simple protocol described in the post mentioned above. In that post, I suggested taking 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in half glass of water twice a day. For your case, I'd suggest taking 1 teaspoon of baking soda in a 4 to 8 ounces of water. It is not pleasant tasting, it has a salty taste. So I believe this was my main cancer killer. I also took Laetrile 500 mg capsules (which is not available for sale in USA). You can google it to find convenient online source. I also took curcumin with bioperine (black pepper). In addition, I took many Reishi Mushroom extracts as well.

I attribute baking soda as my main cancer fighter because I had read about taking baking soda can fight cancer as well as prevent cancer. So about a month before I was admitted into the hospital in March 2016, I decided as a precaution to take baking soda solution everyday. Then one day when I woke up with very severe pain in my abdomen. I believe what was happening was that I had a cancer in my gallbladder and during that month I was drinking baking soda water, it was killing the cancer cells and the cancer cells was sloughing off into the bile duct. So my theory was that these dead cancer cells were clogging up the bile duct which caused pain that was off the charts which caused me to go to an urgent care clinic and then later that day to the emergency room.

Had I not read about the baking soda treatment a month before I went into the hospital, it's very probable that my cancer may have gone undetected for many more months or years and I may not be alive today. Cancer of the gallbladder is rare and usually it is not detected in the early stages of the disease because there are no detectable symptoms. The MRI scans while I was in the hospital showed what may have looked like abnormal growths in the gallbladder interior surface of a few millimeters. I was very lucky that my cancer was detected at stage I. So I strongly believe simple baking soda saved my life, since survival rate in late stages is not good for gallbladder cancer.

How baking soda can fight cancer is described by by Dr. Mark Sircus in his book: “Sodium Bicarbonate: Nature's Unique First Aid Remedy.”

I found a good article on liver cancer here:

There is also a big PDF of a book: "Encyclopedic Reference of Cancer" available here of over 900 pages. The book is geared toward medical professionals but there are lot of good medical information about cancer there.

So as a person who has beaten cancer using natural remedy, I would recommend giving it a shot. My oncologist had prescribed Eliquis for a Deep Vein Thrombosis of a hepatic vein that I got during my gallbladder removal surgery. I took that for a year, and it didn't do anything for me. I saw a famous Chinese Herbal medicine doctor in Taiwan last year, and he prescribed gave me a simple recipe of few natural ingredients which after taking it for 3 months, my DVT was gone. So after my experience, I don't have much faith in traditional western medicine. My oncologist ( and her associated clinic) absolutely didn't do anything for me, accept take a lot of my money for just a bunch of blood tests. I saw 3 oncologists that all recommended chemotherapy right away after my surgery in 2016, and a oncology surgeon recommended that I get surgery as well. I've ignore all of them and followed my own research.

Update: I added couple of free PDFs I found about cancer to this post.

Sorry to hear of your health problem. But as you can see, so many people immediately offer solutions based upon eating.

I suggest a vegetarian diet to start. Try to go vegan. If you are not already a vegetarian, it might seem, hard... star by eliminating red meat and pork. Try to eliminate dairy. Then cut down chicken and fish. There are a lot of good products out there now to take the place of meat. Yves breaded veggie chicken patties are my favorite - they frie up real quick and make a great veggie chicken burger.

There are some good mushrooms and mushroom extracts that are good for fighting cancer. (I am sure there are members here that can give you some names of what mushrooms are good for this.)

Believe that this will work for you - your mind will also help you!

Dear Warren/ Sending prayers, love and concern . Just know that cancer has been defeated by many. I will give no advise as it appears many here have already done so, and I have nothing to add but my care and well wishes.
I will carry you in my thoughts throughout the day so know you are not alone.
