Default Dear Friends - please help!

    Dear friends Good Morning!

I truly hope this is the correct section to post my request. Unfortunately I am usually not the character that is strong enough to ask for help. Please forgive me if my English is not that perfect I am not an English native speaker. I was born in Germany and currently live in Malta.

Until a couple of weeks ago I was working as an Interior Designer specialized on hotel projects. After many hard times I rebuild my life (actually over and over again) but finally build a life with an income that secured my life but did not give me a chance for savings. Like so many many more here I guess. Due to the shut down of the tourism industry I lost all clients and ended up with no income at all. Unfortunately here we have no aid program for freelancers or artists and no governmental help at all.

I have painted and created art my whole life, since my childhood. Actually painting, sculptures, installations. Seems I forgot that my art was more precious than I ever thought it was. Today I ask me why I was not strong enough stay with it, but was afraid of not earning money with it, thus neglecting it in a way.

Thus I decided, this is the time to get back to what I love most. My art. What do I have to loose anyway when all seems already lost.

As said, I am not a native english speaking person, not familiar with programming, never had instagram or something like this. When I realized the pandemic will kill my job and income I started to paint every day, created an instagram profile and started to work as good as possible on a website.

I tried so hard to write my artist bio and all the other texts. Still not finished but published.

Is there anyone who can help me? Read over my texts and suggest better words. Maybe anyone who is experienced with artist bios or similar sites?

I still feel helpless, not really hopeless, but close to.
Would be more than grateful for any support.
Please feel free to contact me.

I would be so happy to get in contact, even a conversation would help a lot. So grateful to be a member since a long time, I would like to thank Bill and truly everybody for this amazing community!!!!

Stay save my friends!!! Sending love and light into the world!!!

    Hi no questions

The artwork is beautiful. I just read through your "portfolio" and "blog" and while as a native English speaker I can tell you are not, I had no problem reading and understanding your poems and descriptions. I only had to stop once:

knew sunlight as the only remedy and put their sick in the sun
    sick?

    Hi no questions,
Your work is so beautiful. Have you considered putting some for sale on ebay? Are you able to ship anything from where you are?
My daughter has been selling some pieces on ebay, since this began, and I am surprised actually by how many pieces she is selling during all this. Perhaps more people are home to browse art.

Thank you so much for your help Bluegreen!! Thank you so much to read through. That's so awesome. Yes, initially this was my blog with selected writings of mine. As I am technically not at all capable, I re-structured the blog and turned it into my artist page.

Haha, "sick" yes, oh yes. I have no idea why I put it that way.

    Wanted to express:
" The patients with suffering of an illness were put into the sun to recover from their health issue."

So so true ... sick in the sun ... this put a big smile on my face!

    Sending love!!!!

    Dear Ayt,

thank you so much for this inspiring idea. Initially I planned to create an online shop at my site, but it seems this is too costly in this moment. I planned also to sell via Instagram, but without having any clue how it works, it took more time than I thought to learn how Instagram works. I figured out also a site called big cartel. They offer an online shop with max 10 products if I am right, for free, including paypal integration. Seems there are really cool people behind big cartel as I researched into who is behind. Maybe an idea for your daughter also.

Ebay is a wonderful idea... have not even thought about that. Thank you so much!!!!

It's been such a long time that I have not observed the art market, but when I started to look into numbers and trends some weeks ago, I feel it has changed a lot. I think the more people turn to compassion the more are interested in art. Hope I am right ... however, seems the interest in art is raising currently. Especially when it is an online gallery in some sort.

Sending love to you and thank you again for your wonderful information!!!

    Dearest no questions,

Thank you for sharing your art work/creations,
which are so wonderfully framed by your introduction:
"I lost, but was not defeated, grew stronger, became more aware, became more grateful. I won, but I am not a winner."

My favorite is your last piece, reminding me of reflections...just beautiful!

    Wishing you all the best.

no questions, your artwork is very beautiful. I think a site like Etsy would be a great place to sell your artwork. If you are interested in doing that and need assistance setting up the account someone here would be glad to provide assistance. The colors you choose in your artwork are wonderful.
