My oldest daughter went hiking with her friend earlier , her friend is an RN supervisor at the nursing home up the road from us, the supervisor has a meeting the other day with an infectious disease specialist from the CDC, the woman told her with full confidence after reviewing deaths that occurred at the home November and December of residents that shouldn't have died and were tested for flu's etc all negative, that she is certain with confidence that covid19 had already run through that facility then which caused 12+ deaths. All residents and staff were recently tested and are negative aside from two employees who were recently ill and positive but have recovered and no longer at the facility.

Despite Dr. Boyle's credentials, his testimony in this article (some of which Dr. Mercola strongly disagrees with) makes me think of the old Spy vs Spy comics.

One thing I don't dispute is the image that pops up in my mind's eye every time I see a photo now of Fauci, which is a composite of Alfred E. Neuman

    and Pinocchio

I wonder when the contradictions in the various experts' stories will end, when we will know whose motivations are pure, who has been paid off or deceived, and what's really the truth..

    "STORY AT-A-GLANCE
Francis Boyle, who drafted the Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act of 1989, believes COVID-19 is a weaponized pathogen that escaped from Wuhan City’s Biosafety Level (BSL) 4 facility
A Lancet paper published by physicians who treated some of the first COVID-19 patients in China showed that patient zero, the one believed to have started the transmission, was nowhere near the Wuhan seafood market. What’s more, there were no bats sold in or even close to the market
SARS-CoV-2 appears to be a benign bat coronavirus modified to integrate spike proteins that allows the virus to enter human cells by attaching to ACE-2 receptors
The virus also appears to have been modified to integrate an envelope protein from HIV called GP141, which tends to impair the immune system. A third modification appears to involve nanotechnology, which allows the virus to remain airborne longer
Francis Boyle, a former advisory board member for the Council for Responsible Genetics, is a professor of international law at the University of Illinois College of Law.

.Boris Johnson warns of ‘huge loss of life’ if coronavirus lockdown is lifted too soon

The pressure to begin easing the restrictions came from a series of wealthy Tory backers who called over the weekend for the government to allow the economy to restart.

The prime minister has less than two weeks before the next major decision point comes up, with the next three-week review of the lockdown restrictions due on 7 May.

Foreign secretary Dominic Raab has said the government is doing its “homework” in preparation for when the rules could be eased.

It is thought that among the first moves could be a re-opening of schools, although Raab said that would be “inconceivable” without some further measures in place..

    This drama is a conspiracy.

Worth mentioning the Swiss academic study that characterises banking/corporate cooperation as a 'super entity' and this is where the danger lies.

Quote The Swiss Federal Institute (SFI) in Zurich released a study entitled “The Network of Global Corporate Control” that proves a small consortium of corporations – mainly banks – run the world. A mere 147 corporations which form a “super entity” have control 40% of the world’s wealth; which is the real economy. These mega-corporations are at the center of the global economy.
We are presented with a story about a calamity with brave workers & politicians fighting to save us, however the reality is that this epidemic is a pre-planned scripted and stage managed process. The study above details how seemingly unconnected institutions , including corporates and regulatory bodies work together for agreed objectives, that of course are not published publicly and are often NOT beneficial for the mass of the people. It is a control and manipulation agenda.

In the case of the pandemic there are so many connections between charitable activities, (like the Gates Foundation), regulatory bodies (like the CDC , FDA, etc) who are controlled by big pharma, and the Corporates.

The following video documents the links between seemingly unconnected people & companies in the UK and is excellent.

Coming from a socialised health care perspective, I suspect that private enterprise cannot be trusted to lead health care provision, or at least without a greatly reduced level of corruption and much more transparency. It is not necessary to speculate as to whether the super entity released a virus to advance a control and financial tyranny agenda, or not, to see that because of the covert links between these groups, the providers of health care services have a strong financial incentive (profit) to promote a pandemic, panicked politicians throwing money at the problem, to promote the spread, to obfuscate and suppress cheap drugs etc.

Vaccines in themselves are a source of revenue in terms of the product, tests are profitable but the vaccines also create disease, such as allergies, auto immune diseases, inflammatory conditions etc. More profits.

For the hood-wink to work, a compliant media is essential, and we have the media now telling us that you cannot gain immunity from actually HAVING the virus, as it mutates so much. But of course, a vaccine based on a virus from months or years ago, that will have mutated, will be the silver bullet. This happens every year with flu. The vax is not suited to new mutations .

The Bizarre Rantings of Donald Trump

These are not producing the usual derangement as most science minded people assume that these are scientific bunkum ,nonsense and dangerous.

    1. Cheap Drugs: He said: 'a very strong, powerful medicine. But it doesn’t kill people.' (Hydroxychloroquine)

We shall see however if all his big pharma advisors are slating it, it is probably worth looking at. India is recommending it.

    2. Light/UV light: ''Suppose that we hit the body with tremendous — whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful — light ... suppose you brought the light inside the body?”

Well there is blood irradiation therapy,
plus work on putting UVC light into the lungs. The general principle is scientifically established.

    3. 'Disinfectant' : ''Then I see the disinfectant where it knocks it out in one minute,” Trump continued. “Is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside, or almost a cleaning? … It would be interesting to check that.”

He has been contacted by MMS advocates. The therapy they advocate is administration of a very small amount of Hypochlorous acid. This is the antiseptic used by our own immune system. Many Avalonians including myself have tried this and got results, and survived.

This and the other two remedies are all cheap and kryptonite to the Big pharma drug/vaccine tyranny. No wonder the Media is slating him. But be careful, as these clumsy pronouncements once vindicated, will empower Trump and medical sovereignty for the individual. Trump has cojones. Good luck to him.

Yes this is an established therapy. He's not - and I don't think ever is - just spit-balling out there. He knows exactly what he's saying. That maybe a painful idea for some people, but I don't care. I'm no Trump nutter, but I'll back anyone if I think they're right.

I think he's being very clever by bringing to light safe and effective alternatives to vaccines, while simultaneously showing up the media for they are. As frauds.

Also of 'disinfectants' that he mentioned. Saw it posted elsewhere that two common ingredients for vaccines are Thimerosal and Formaldehyde - both disinfectants. Having the media react as they did at the perils of injecting disinfectants, he in effect got them to admit that vaccines were dangerous. And they didn't know it. And they call him stupid.

Sadly, with the state of our hospitals, I can't rule this out. Everyone should have an advocate with them if they have to be hospitalized.
This sounds like it is probably exactly what is happening. IMO this means we should absolutely NOT depend on the established medical system. Don't we ALL ALREADY know so called "horror stories" form friends/family and maybe ourselves concerning "care"... the mistakes, the inept management, the total lack of repercussions (well, one might try to sue after the fact). The "maximization of patient benefit" is absolutely laughable. "Crappy nurses who don't care" is the result of a LOOOONG fall in American healthcare. That is RIGHT, one person alone cannot change this system.

Asking for records and transcripts is not going to be enough. Depending on some miracle will not be enough. The staff at hospitals are just like everywhere... afraid to lose their "jobs", not very smart, NOT BRAVE when in fight/flight/freeze themselves. It is criminal but the crime was committed drip by drip starting in 1910 when allopathy took charge.

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!! DEAR BELOVED CITIZENS who have a mind, this is about the flaws suddenly becoming CHASMS that we will fall in if we don't take care of OUR SELVES. PEOPLE need to be self responsible....learn hygiene, learn self empowerment, take supplements, take charge and practice the cutting edge systems of changing our habits and the resulting condition of OUR body/mind complex like Wim Hof and Joe Dispenza.

This is an epidemic I really do believe of REAL OPPORTUNISM and viruses take hold of cells that are lacking defense. This is fractal IMO and as BELOW, SO ABOVE.

We must REPUDIATE the system by disengaging on a massive scale. REPEAT: one person cannot change the system. Maybe 2.5% (read that statistic somewhere) of the population at once maybe?

UK coronavirus response utterly hypocritical, says UN poverty expert
    Robert Booth Social affairs correspondent
    The Guardianyesterday

    https://uk.yahoo.com/news/uk-coronav...172602520.html
The United Nations’ poverty expert Philip Alston has attacked the UK government’s coronavirus response as “utterly hypocritical” after successive administrations implemented policies of austerity and public-sector cuts.

The UN rapporteur on extreme poverty, who in 2018 issued a blistering attack on Conservative welfare policy, also said that globally “the most vulnerable have been short-changed or excluded” by official responses to the disease, which had claimed over 203,670 lives by Sunday evening, according to Johns Hopkins University.

“The policies of many states reflect a social Darwinism philosophy that prioritises the economic interests of the wealthiest while doing little for those who are hard at work providing essential services or unable to support themselves,” Alston said, warning that the pandemic could push more than half a billion additional people into poverty globally.

“Governments have shut down entire countries without making even minimal efforts to ensure people can get by,” he said. “Many in poverty live day to day, with no savings or surplus food. And of course, homeless people cannot simply stay home.”

He highlighted how the most vulnerable populations had been neglected, which “forces them to continue working in unsafe conditions, putting everyone’s health at risk.” And he warned that, while some nations were seeing curves flattening, the virus was “poised to wreak havoc in poorer countries”.

“As for the UK,” Alston told the Guardian, “my thoughts of course hark back to the sense of how utterly hypocritical it is now to abandon ‘austerity’ with such alacrity, after all the harm and misery caused to individuals and the fatal weakening of the community’s capacity to cope and respond over the past 10 years.

“And of course, many of the worst and most damaging aspects of ‘austerity’ cannot and will not be undone. The damage caused to community cohesion and to the social infrastructure are likely to prove permanent.”

His comments are likely to anger ministers in the UK, who have said their strategy is to put their “arms around every single worker” while adopting an “everyone in” policy to tackle the risk to rough sleepers. They have sanctioned huge cash injections into wages and businesses to prevent economic collapse, and the chancellor, Rishi Sunak announced £14bn for the NHS and local authorities fighting the virus.

But other parts of the social fabric have been stretched. Food banks, which give out at least 1.6m parcels a year, have lacked supplies while care homes, where thousands are dying from Covid-19, have struggled for essentials including PPE and to maintain staffing levels. There have been real-terms cuts in public funding of social care in the UK, according to the King’s Fund thinktank, with a £700m reduction between 2011 and 2018.

“This pandemic has exposed the bankruptcy of social support systems in many countries.” Alston said. “While some governments have embraced far-ranging measures previously dismissed as unrealistic, most programmes have been short-term, stop-gap measures that merely buy time rather than address the immense challenges that will continue well into the future. Now is the time for deep structural reforms that will protect populations as a whole and will build resilience in the face of an uncertain future.”

A government spokesperson said: “We have a strong record on supporting hardworking people across the country as well as our most vulnerable, reaching record employment over the last ten years and with both income inequality and absolute poverty lower than in 2010.

“These are unprecedented times and it’s right that we do everything we can to support people through this difficult period, including increasing Universal Credit by up to £1,040 over a year.”

Corona Virus is a Bio Weapon.

Peter Strok/Lisa Paige - Insurance Policy; NATO; WHO; Glaxo Smith *; Milan and much much more . . . loadsa info

    Five different strains

George Webb - Investigative Journalist (Highly Recommended) Multiple Chapters/Videos, see video notes -

George Webb is an investigative journalist in the Washington, DC area that discovered the DNC blackberries and hard drives used by DNC Chairwoman's IT assistant, Biden Awan. Webb produced a fact witness, a Marine named Andre Taggart, and Taggart confirmed the government marked blackberries and drives stashed by Awan in his home. Webb also interviewed a Capitol Hill staffer with a three decade relationship with Joe Biden that provided insider information about Biden Awan that was later confirmed in a House hearing. The House insider also left the phone with Webb which had Congressional markings, and the blackberry mapped to a DIA staffer on Capitol Hill in the Human Intelligence Services.

    Whose Bio Weapon is it?

It does appear there is sound pragmatic good logic for this Global Lockdown. All that needs doing now is hunt down the perpetrators.

There is a new report from Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United Sciences of America (PNAS), which only used 160 samples, but comes to "stunning conclusions". These could perhaps be described as backwards. The data suggest this virus did not originate in Wuhan; the earliest sample of virus studied – collected on December 24 2019 in Wuhan – WAS NOT close to being the ancestor of SARS-CoV-2. The variant in China is barely found outside China; and it probably is a descendant of the varieties found outside China.

About the only way it makes sense is to "presume a scenario where the virus was already circulating under the radar in the West and were carried to Wuhan in December or some time before, where it then spread locally within China."

If New York is able to estimate they must have had thousands of cases in January before anything was confirmed, it is difficult not to rewind that to at least "a few" cases last year. If we are not able to specifically say it came out of UNC or Fort Detrick, it seems we are still left with a stronger likelihood it was somewhere around here, and the Chinese were simply quick in figuring out that something happened. How could someone in New York say, oh look, we found a new disease, watch out world? They either could not since not every death is probed for a unique virus, or, if they thought it might be, they perhaps lacked the Chinese ability to go after it.

another voice suggesting the virus is not natural...

    Quote
Nobel Prize-Winning Scientist Who Discovered HIV Says Coronavirus Was Created In Laboratory

In a highly significant development, Professor Luc Montagnier, the French scientist who shared the 2008 Nobel Prize in Medicine for discovery of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), has added his voice to those who believe the new coronavirus was created in a laboratory. Interviewed on the CNews channel in France, Montagnier asserted that the virus had been designed by molecular biologists. Stating that it contains genetic elements of HIV, he insisted its characteristics could not have arisen naturally.

Asked by the CNews interviewer what the goal of these molecular biologists was, Montagnier said it wasn’t clear. “My job,” he said, “is to expose the facts.” While stressing that he didn’t know who had done it, or why, Montagnier suggested that possibly the goal had been to make an AIDS vaccine. Labeling the virus as “a professional job…a very meticulous job,” he described its genome as being a “clockwork of sequences.”

“There’s a part which is obviously the classic virus, and there’s another mainly coming from the bat, but that part has added sequences, particularly from HIV – the AIDS virus,” he said.

Growing evidence that the virus was ‘designed’

Montagnier also pointed out that he wasn’t the first scientist to assert that the coronavirus was created in a laboratory. Previously, on 31 January 2020, a research group from India had published a paper suggesting that aspects of the virus bore an “uncanny similarity” to HIV. Taken together, the researchers said their findings suggested the virus had an “unconventional evolution” and that further investigation was warranted. While the researchers subsequently retracted their paper, Montagnier said they had been “forced” to do so.

In February 2020, a separate research paper published by scientists from South China University of Technology suggested the virus “probably” came from a laboratory in Wuhan, the city where it was first identified. Significantly, one of the research facilities cited in this paper, the Wuhan National Biosafety Laboratory, is said to be the only lab in China that is designated for the study of highly dangerous pathogens such as Ebola and SARS. Prior to the opening of this laboratory in 2018, biosafety experts and scientists from the United States had expressed concerns that a virus could escape from it. As with the paper published by the Indian researchers, however, the Chinese scientists’ paper has similarly been withdrawn.

Professor Montagnier has long demonstrated that he is not afraid to challenge the prevailing views of the scientific establishment. Previously, in an interview recorded for the 2009 AIDS documentary ‘House of Numbers’, he had spoken out in favor of nutrition and antioxidants in the fight against HIV/AIDS. As the co-discoverer of HIV and a Nobel prize winner, Montagnier’s statements in this interview gave valuable support to Dr. Rath and other scientists who, for years beforehand, had been warning the world about the pharmaceutical business with the AIDS epidemic.

In a similar way, his assertion today that the coronavirus was designed by molecular biologists raises serious questions about the possible involvement of the pharmaceutical industry. As Montagnier infers, a manmade virus whose genome consists of a “clockwork of sequences” and includes elements of HIV could not have been assembled by amateurs. With estimates of the total global economic cost of the coronavirus varying from $4.1 trillion to $20 trillion or more, the ongoing questions about its origins are unlikely to disappear anytime soon.

[ I've repeated this post in the 'The Virus - the Energetic Viewpoint ' thread which I think is a better location for it, so if a mod sees this post here in this thread soon, delete it if you think it's the right thing to do]

In the original Covid19 thread I pondered the topic of what Mary Rodwell calls 'The New Human' in relation to covid19.

How would they be affected by the virus?

Alexis Brooks has interviewed Mary Rodwell several times. She has recently talked with her about the very topic I was pondering.

Mary Rodwell - The NEW HUMAN in the Face of CRISIS! Let's Talk!

Quote Like so many others in our community of game changers and “off the cuff” thinkers, ET contact researcher and author of The New Human - Awakening to Our Cosmic Heritage, Mary Rodwell, weighs in on her perspective about how this NEW REALITY we’re all finding ourselves in these days is affecting what she’s called “The New Human.”

As controversial as this may seem, especially now with a mass protocol underway, Mary says that the individuals she’s interviewed and studied are having a much different response to the “pandemic” we face - not only emotionally, psychologically and spiritually but maybe even biologically!

What she’s found will rock the foundations of status quo to the core and she’s ready to discuss it, right here with us for this special premiere episode.

This is a sad and sorry article about the deaths at Pennsylvania's Veterans Homes and Nursing Homes. It makes it sound like the families are almost incommunicado with their loved ones, until they are informed of their death.

‘It’s a sinking ship’: COVID-19 deaths triple at state-run vets nursing home in Chester County as families clamor for information

    some excerpts:

About half of Pennsylvania’s known coronavirus-related deaths have been residents of long-term-care facilities.

Family members, who normally visit the veterans home and see how loved ones are faring and if sufficient staff is on duty, have been in the dark with no recourse.
Frustrated and desperate to help her father-in-law, Bean said her family considered taking him out of SEVC, at least temporarily, due to the pandemic. But a staffer warned her brother-in-law that his father could have a hard time getting back in, she said.
“They said if Pop leaves, not only does he lose his room, we would have to apply all over again. They will not even put him on a waiting list," Bean said. “I consider that a veiled threat. Like, ‘Don’t you take him out.’ ”

One veteran, who repeatedly asked nursing staff whether the virus was spreading there, was “absolutely floored” to read that 10 residents had died, his son said. “He knew nothing.” (The son asked not to be identified to protect his father from any retribution.)

State Sen. Katie Muth, whose district covers parts of Chester County, said that until recently she’d never heard complaints about the veterans center, considered one of the best in the state and rated “much above average” by the federal government. Now she is unable to find out what is happening inside.

As of last week, SEVC, in consultation with the Chester County Department of Health, had stopped coronavirus testing in units where two or more residents have tested positive. Instead, the facility would treat other residents who showed fevers and other symptoms of the virus as probable cases, according to an internal report obtained by The Inquirer.
Muth said that does a disservice to those who might not be infected. “They deserve a test, right? And they’re not getting them because we’re rationing tests,” Muth said. “If we’re not going to test everyone on a floor, it just looks like these people are sacrificial lambs.”
"We're all bozos on this bus"

YOUNG PEOPLE RECOVERED FROM COVID DYING OF STROKES
Doctors sound alarm about patients in their 30s and 40s left debilitated or dead. Some didn’t even know they were infected.

Thomas Oxley wasn’t even on call the day he received the page to come into Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital in Manhattan. There weren’t enough doctors to treat all the emergency stroke patients, and he was needed in the operating room.

The patient’s chart appeared unremarkable at first glance. He took no medications and had no history of chronic conditions. He had been feeling fine, hanging out at home during the lockdown like the rest of America, when suddenly, he had trouble talking and moving the right side of his body. Imaging showed a large blockage on the left side of his head.

Oxley gasped when he got to the patient’s age and covid-19 status: 44, positive.

The man was among several recent stroke patients in their 30s to 40s who were all infected with the virus. The median age for that type of severe stroke is 74.

As Oxley, an interventional neurologist, began the procedure to remove the clot, he observed something he had never seen before. On the monitors, the brain typically shows up as a tangle of black squiggles — “like a can of spaghetti,” he said — that provide a map of blood vessels. A clot shows up as a blank spot. As he used a needlelike device to pull out the clot, he saw new clots forming in real-time around it.

“This is crazy,” he remembers telling his boss.

Reports of strokes in the young and middle-aged — not just at Mount Sinai but in many other hospitals in communities hard hit by coronavirus— are the latest twist in our evolving understanding of covid-19. Even as the virus has infected nearly 2.8 million people worldwide and killed 195,000 as of Saturday, its biological mechanisms continue to elude top scientific minds. Once thought to be a pathogen that primarily attacks the lungs, it has turned out to be a much more formidable foe — impacting nearly every major organ system in the body.

Until recently, there was little hard data on strokes and covid-19.

There was one report out of Wuhan, China that showed that some hospitalized patients had experienced strokes but many of those were seriously ill and elderly. But the linkage was considered more of “a clinical hunch by a lot of really smart people,” said Sherry H-Y Chou, a University of Pittsburgh neurologist and critical care doctor.

Now for the first time, three large U.S. medical centers are preparing to publish data on the stroke phenomenon. The numbers are small, only a few dozen per location, but they provide new insights into what the virus does to our bodies.

Coronavirus destroys lungs. But doctors are finding its damage in kidneys, hearts and elsewhere.

Stroke, a sudden interruption the blood supply, is a complex problem with numerous causes and presentations. It can be caused by heart problems, clogged arteries due to cholesterol, even substance abuse. Mini-strokes often don’t cause permanent damage and can resolve on their own within 24 hours. But bigger ones can be catastrophic.

The analyses suggest coronavirus patients are mostly experiencing the deadliest type of stroke. Known as large vessel occlusions or LVOs, they can obliterate large parts of the brain responsible for movement, speech and decision-making in one blow because they are in the main blood-supplying arteries.

Many researchers suspect strokes in novel coronavirus patients may be a direct consequence of blood problems that are producing clots all over some people’s bodies.

Clots that form on vessel walls fly upward so one that started in the calves might migrate to the lungs, causing a blockage called a pulmonary embolism that arrests breathing — a known cause of death in covid-19 patients. Clots in or near the heart might lead to a heart attack, another common cause of death. Anything above that would likely go to the brain, leading to a stroke.

Robert Stevens, a critical care doctor at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, called stroke “one of the most dramatic manifestations” of the blood clotting issues. “We’ve also taken care of patients in their 30s with stroke and covid, and this was extremely surprising,” he said.

Many doctors expressed worry that as the New York City Fire Department was picking up four times as many people who died at home as normal during the peak of infection that some of the dead had suffered sudden strokes. The truth may never be known because so few autopsies were conducted.

Chou said one question is whether the clotting is a due to direct attack on the blood vessels, or a “a friendly fire problem” caused by the patient’s immune response.

“In your body’s attempt to fight off the virus, does the immune response end up hurting your brain?” she asked. Chou is hoping to answer such questions through a review of stroke and other neurological complication in thousands of covid-19 patients treated at 68 medical centers in 17 countries.

Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, which operates 14 medical centers in Philadelphia, and NYU Langone in New York City, found that 12 of their patients treated for large blood blockages in their brains during a three-week period had the virus. Forty percent were under 50, and had few or no risk factors. Their paper is under review by a medical journal, said Pascal Jabbour, a neurosurgeon at Thomas Jefferson.

Jabbour and his co-author Eytan Raz, an assistant professor of neuroradiology at NYU Langone, said that strokes in covid-19 patients challenge conventionally thinking. “We are used to thinking of 60 as a young patient when it comes to large vessel occlusions,” Raz said of the deadliest strokes. “We have never seen so many in their 50s, 40s and late 30s.”

Raz wondered whether they are seeing more young patients because they are more resistant than the elderly to the respiratory distress caused by covid-19: “So they survive the lung side, and in time develop other issues.”

A mysterious blood-clotting complication is killing coronavirus patients

Jabbour said many of the cases he’s treated have unusual characteristics. Brain clots usually appear in the arteries, which carry blood away from the heart, but in covid-19 patients, he’s also seeing them in the veins, which carry blood in the opposite direction and are trickier to treat. Some patients are also developing more than one large clot in their heads, which is highly unusual.

“We’ll be treating a blood vessel and it will go fine, but then the patient will have a major stroke” due to a clot in another part of the brain, he said.

At Mount Sinai, the largest medical system in New York City, physician-researcher J Mocco said the number of patients coming in with large blood blockages in their brains doubled during the three weeks of the covid-19 surge to more than 32, even as the number of other emergencies fell. Over half of them were covid-19 positive.

It isn’t just the number of patients that was unusual. The first wave of the pandemic has hit the elderly and those with heart disease, diabetes, obesity or other preexisting conditions disproportionately. The covid-19 patients treated for stroke at Mount Sinai were younger and mostly without risk factors.

On average the covid-19 stroke patients were 15 years younger than stroke patients without the virus.

“These are people among the least likely statistically to have a stroke,” Mocco said.

Mocco, who has spent his career studying stroke and how to treat it, said he was “completely shocked” by the analysis. He noted the link between covid-19 and stroke “is one of the clearest and most profound correlations I’ve come across.”

“This is much too powerful of a signal to be chance or happenstance,” Mocco said.

In a letter to be published in the New England Journal of Medicine next week, the Mount Sinai team details five case studies of young patients who had strokes at home from Mar. 23 to Apr. 7. They make for difficult reading: The victims’ ages are 33, 37, 39, 44, and 49, and were all home when they began to experience sudden symptoms, including slurred speech, confusion, drooping on one side of the face, feeling dead in one arm.

One passed away, two are still hospitalized, one was released to rehabilitation and one was released home to the care of his brother. Only one of the five, a 33-year-old woman, is able to speak.

Oxley, the interventional neurologist, said one striking aspect of the cases is how long many waited before seeking emergency care.

The 33-year-old woman was previously healthy but had had a cough and headache for about a week. Over the course of 28 hours, she noticed her speech was slurred and that she was going numb and weak on her left side but, the researchers wrote, “delayed seeking emergency care due to fear of the covid-19 outbreak.”

It turned out she was already infected.

By the time she arrived at the hospital, a CT scan showed she had two clots in her brain and patchy “ground glass” in her lungs — a hallmark of covid-19 infection. She was given two different types of therapy to try to break up the clots and by day 10, she was well enough to be discharged.

Oxley said the most important thing for people to understand is that large strokes are very treatable. Doctors are often able to reopen blocked blood vessels through techniques such as pulling out clots or inserting stents. But it has to be done quickly, ideally within six hours, but no longer than 24 hours: “The message we are trying to get out is if you have symptoms of stroke, you need to call the ambulance urgently.”

As for the 44-year-old man Oxley was treating, doctors were able to remove the large clot that day in late March, but the patient is still struggling. As of this week, a little over a month after he arrived in the emergency room, he is still hospitalized.

Over-70s should not be forced to stay in isolation when coronavirus lockdown eased, Sage adviser says

Last month, Matt Hancock, the Health Secretary, said older people would be 'shielded for their own protection' - Leon Neal/Getty

The over-70s cannot be told to continue isolating once Britain's coronavirus lockdown measures are eased, a Sage scientific adviser has suggested.

Last month, Matt Hancock, the Health Secretary, said older people would be "shielded for their own protection", meaning those aged 70 and over could be asked to stay at home for up to four months to protect themselves from the risk of coronavirus.

However, a scientist on a sub-committee of the Government's Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage) board, has called for "more reformed and nuanced" guidance.

Susan Michie, professor of health psychology and sirector of the Centre for Behaviour Change at UCL, said: "The guidance is based on averages, and as we know there's huge individual differences for every average.

"So there are many 70 and 80-year-olds that are much fitter and healthier than those who are a lot younger. I think the problem is that if people don't perceive the guidance to be proportionate to their own situation there will be problems with adherence, and we now know more about who is at risk and the whole progress of the disease."
    Coronavirus podcast newest episode

Speaking to BBC Radio 4's Today programme, Prof Michie said "individual data" based on age, gender and underlying health conditions could help people find out how much additional risk they are exposed to should they contract the virus.

"Communities and people do want to be involved in decision-making," she said. "I think this is incredibly important going forward for this issue, but also for all issues, that communities are properly consulted, properly engaged, properly involved in decision-making about how we go forward in what's going to be a very complicated terrain of [easing] restrictions."

Last week, The Telegraph reported that ministers are looking to restart the economy using a "traffic light" system, with the over-70s "stuck on red for months" – potentially up to a year – until a mass-produced vaccine is available.

Prof Michie, whose research focuses on developing the science of behaviour change interventions and applying behavioural science to those interventions, said that, when the Government reviews its guidance, it should "take this on board and make sure people are given the information to make sensible decisions about their own lives".

She added: "One of the great things about the progress of medicine is that we have so many fit and active, young at heart 70 and 80-year-olds, and I think that that must be recognised. We have much more information now than we had when the guidance was originally given out, and I think it could become more reformed and nuanced now."

Caroline Abrahams, the charity director at Age UK, said: "When it comes old age, there is definitely no one size that fits all. There are enormous differences in the health of the older population. We all know fortunate individuals who seem as fit as many half their age, while others really struggle when many of their contemporaries continue to do well.

"A long period of lockdown would have enormous practical implications for older people, including the rising numbers who want or need to keep working, and all who care for their grandchildren too. There are also the potentially devastating mental health consequences to take into account if older people are advised to stay apart from family and friends for many months – a recipe for misery and loneliness.

"Government decisions about the lockdown that impact on all older people above a certain age on a compulsory basis, regarding of their health status, are unlikely to be acceptable or, it seems, particularly helpful in helping the country to transition back to a more normal way of life.

"Older people should be able to make up their own minds, armed with best information and the clearest evidence-based advice the Government is able to provide."

I have seen several local/state reports of various first responders dying unexpectedly. Police, Fire, EMS. At least one the cause of death was given as a heart attack. The others weren't listed. Other than the death being unexpected, no cause was given. These things happen, but it seems to be happening more frequently over the last several weeks.

Think its just being reported more frequently Sarah.
Something that has happened several times is "Birds falling from the sky in their hundreds" dead fish washed up etc.
    Now is this 5G related?
    I dont have a clue.
The immune system will handle anything if it is in good order.
If it is compromised by poor environment then thats a different story.
If work situation calls for you to be in a dense electronic WiFi system -- blue tooth head phones all day, then no matter your age you may well have a weakened immune system.
Thats guessing but May be so.
