Abstract

SAGE made – and continues to make – two fatal errors in its assessment of the SAR-CoV-2 pandemic, rendering its predictions wildly inaccurate, with disastrous results. These errors led SAGE to conclude that the pandemic is still in its early stages, with the vast majority (93%) of the UK population remaining susceptible to infection and that, in the absence of more action, a very high number of deaths will occur.

Error 1: Assuming that 100% of the population was susceptible to the virus and that no pre-existing immunity existed.

Error 2: The belief that the percentage of the population that has been infected can be determined by surveying what fraction of the population has antibodies.

Both of these points run entirely counter to known science regarding viruses and to a significant amount of evidence, as I will demonstrate. The more likely situation is that the susceptible population is now sufficiently depleted (now 28%) and the immune population sufficiently large that there will not be another large, national scale outbreak of COVID-19. Limited, regional outbreaks will be self-limiting and the pandemic is effectively over.

This matches current evidence, with COVID-19 deaths remaining a fraction of what they were in spring, despite numerous questionable practices, all designed to artificially increase the number of apparent COVID-19 deaths.

I have not been really that keen following any news at all. But now I have started to realize that I'm the only one not wearing mask in public places. So Finland has been already conquered by those who are pushing this narrative. I do have to make a statement that I had the worst flu in my lifetime between april-june. That was the worst I've ever had it and never ever don't want anyone ever have that kind of disease. And now I have another stupid flu but this is just something everyone has now and then. My mother and sister came by and because of all these stupid regulations we decided it's better to not hug and other stupid sh*t. But I complied only because they wanted me to do so and my mother is ill and doctor's saying she's not supposed to be anywhere near sick people. So.. What's next? Masks at home? I'll say **** you.

Mainstream or not, I found this article to be quite good in terms of describing direct, on the ground experiences of someone from outside a first world country. There was a heavy toll both in terms of virus related deaths, and in terms of financial hardship caused by the lockdowns.

But in this lecture of french professor Jean-Francois Toussaint he explains the societal, environmental en climatological context where the diseases are happening. Particularly for the serious case of Mexico he explains how this society has joined the disastrous eating lifestyle of the USA where obesity is an important factor to make the population so vulnerable. Consequently the central food market in Mexico city with its air conditioning is a risky environment and must be observed as such. The problem isn’t just the China Virus. It’s that we adopted the China Model to fight it.

Public health experts adopted China’s draconian lockdowns without knowing how well they really worked and in a country that, fortunately, lacks the power to truly enforce them.

China’s deceptiveness and lack of transparency meant that we did not know how well anything that the Communist dictatorship did to battle the virus that it spawned actually worked. Despite that, our public health experts, and those of most free countries, adopted the China Model.

We don’t know how well the China Model worked for the People’s Republic of China, but it failed in every free country that tried it. Lockdowns eventually gave way to reopenings and new waves of infection. This was always going to happen because not even the more socialist European countries have the police state or the compliant populations of a Communist dictatorship.

Desperate, the public health experts adopted China’s compulsive mask wearing, a cultural practice that predates the virus, as if wearing a few flimsy scraps of fiber would fix everything.

It hadn’t and it didn’t.

But by then the public health experts and the media that had touted them were moving fully into the scapegoat portion of the crisis. The China Model had failed, all that was left was shifting the blame to more conservative and traditional populations, and away from the cultural elites.
