Default Day 9 on IV in Hospital

Got covid swabs on arrival back of throat and both nostrils.
Now they repeat every 4 days here in Scotland.
Been on iv 9 days and main infection under control.
Lots of samples getting collected in UK and still no visitors.

Many thanks for the update, and we're very sorry to hear this. NO fun.

Can you say more about the onset, the symptoms, your treatment protocol, what the IV is, and the prognosis?

Okay, so it's a foot infection that's spread... not Covid (which is what I thought you were implying). And you're on antibiotics. Is it getting better now?

Keep that positive attitude going and you will be back walking on the beach!

And I have to say, I spent almost an entire summer in Scotland years back and loved every second of it! Personal favourite was Edinburgh castle and Loch Ness, and the ultimate was a Ranger vs Celtic match in Glasgow!

Everytime I see you avatar (and Greybeards') a couple of those memories pop into my head.

So keep posting when you can! Looking forward to hearing more from you!

I visited Scotland 18 years ago and loved the landscape and people. Scotslad, I seem to recall you usually have a very balanced view of things. Get better soon!

thanks @runningdeer for virtual hug back home now. Scary time - was very observant of what was going on around me in hospital. Mental health patients in with geriatrics and in with younger people. Night shift was like scenes from "one flew over cuckoos nest" and Beirut.

It appears the whole NHS infrastructure is under resourced and at breaking point. Staff stressed dealing with a phenomenally expandingn epidemic and sub culture of mental health problems sweeping the UK population and appears to be ill equipped to cope with it.

I'm just glad they sorted me before it turned to sepsis. Home now with crutches and looking forward to getting back to "normal" thanks again.

Good to hear your home. When your feeling better maybe you can tell us more about your thoughts of what is happenning in the hospitals there.
All the best in your recovery.😊
