    Default Why Biden?

With Trump so politically vulnerable and ripe for the picking, why did the Democrats select Joe Biden as their candidate?

If the media is even a little bit correct, Biden is kind of running away with this thing, and he can barely string a sentence together. But why even take the chance with someone who is mentally unraveling? Seems to me that if the Dems selected someone who was just mildly competent and able to coherently express his/her ideas, their victory would be nearly guaranteed.

It looks like they're rolling the dice a little with Biden here. And I can't understand why. Surely they have stronger candidates available. Just curious what you guys think.

Good question. I suspect it was always known he'd be a placeholder, the theory being that he'd be elected simply and only because he wasn't Trump.

And that would be supported and amplified by everything that's been happening in America, and will continue till the last moment, to attempt to decrease Trump's chances and position him as being an unpopular choice. (And for the record, I don't believe the polls for an instant. That's just more propaganda.)

So the question then becomes — IF Biden's elected, and I really don't think he will be — who his VP would be to take over the presidency when he'd inevitably, maybe within months, have to step down for medical reasons.

And even that might be a double-domino effect, not a single one. If his VP were unable to take up office for some reason, then their VP would be the president for three and a half years. And that could be someone no-one reading this would ever want to see.

    Edit to add!

I learned after posting this that his running mate was announced a few hours ago to be Kamala Harris.

Can you imagine the power trip Kamala Harris would unleash if she was hoisted to the top.?.....that would be soooo bad.

I think that anyone who can see past their nose knows that
the Clinton criminal would be ushered in to the devastation of our nation.

Could the people be so unaware of what that person represents
as to see it .put in as a vice president. God help us!

Trump will win, I have no doubt. He has to.

There are forces way beyond presidents who call the shots and
are not stupid and hopefully they can see beyond our limited vision.
    Question Everything, always speak truth...

Not that I believe it really matters ... but it may be worthwhile to take a deep dive into who Kamala Harris is: primary financial supporters, her legislation voting history and how the DNC will handle her siding with Biden's sexual misconduct accusers. etc.

    Blessings Luke

PS: On a side note - I do not see how the DNC can justify not having a debate? CV 19 cannot be an excuse as it could be done via skype. In truth, Biden is: Damned if he doesn't and even more Damned if he does. Which leaves two options: Either the Cabal have chosen DJT or, as Bill mentioned, their is a plan for someone else to take office. What we do know is, Joseph Biden is incapable of presenting himself as POTUS.

Second side note and a bit off topic - yet some may find it interesting

Remember prior to the Covid 19 coming to USA, Kobe Bryant was tragically killed in the helicopter crash and google had the weird covid hebrew translation being Kobe. Many were reporting this was ritual "blood sacrifice" in order to kick off CV 19.

Well, I just realized another similar synchronicity involving death and the announcement of Kamala Harris as Creepy Joe's running mate.

First of all, how popular is the name Kamala - Not very right!, Well yesterday it was announced that the only other, Kamala, I am aware of died ie the famous Professional Wrestler Kamala (AKA James Harris may he rest in peace). Hmmmm again to the timing I say - hmmmmmmmm!

    https://heavy.com/sports/2020/08/jam...-harris-death/

Note, I am just connecting the dots.. not drawing conclusions yet remaining suspiciously curious....

It looks like they're rolling the dice a little with Biden here. And I can't understand why. Surely they have stronger candidates available. Just curious what you guys think.
With the disclaimer up front that I consider myself a progressive/left-wing libertarian, that I think of Donald Trump as a disgraceful abomination and ─ enter the woo-woo factor ─ that he's with 99% certainty the reincarnation of Benito Mussolini, the decision of the US Democratic National Committee to nominate Joe Biden as their presidential candidate simply boils down to the fact that after four years of Trump, the DNC has not learned its lesson yet, and is still trying to hold on to the status quo. They're not interested in progress. They just want to make it back into what it was before Captain Chaos™.

Joe Biden is a politician from that status quo generation ─ pro-capitalism and pro-corporate-globalism ─ while most of the other Democratic candidates that had enough of a following during the run-up for nomination represented a breach with the status quo. Besides, one of them was gay, and several of the others were women. "Totally un-American. Can't have that in the White House now, can we?"

Well, Hillary excepted of course, but then again, her husband was a former president, so he would still have been in the overall picture as the vicarious president behind the scenes if Hillary had won. And Hillary had the balls to go where no male president had gone before her in pushing the US hegemony upon the world.

Bernie Sanders? "He's a socialist! We ain't gonna vote for no stinkin' commie-wannabe!" And so the super delegates all agreed from beforehand ─ this is documented, and it was all perfectly legal too ─ that they were going to vote against Bernie, unless Bernie were able to score an absolute-majority victory all on his own account, which they knew he couldn't ever possibly attain. It was the same old trick they had already used against Bernie once before, when he was up against Hillary for Democratic nomination in 2016.

Marianne Williamson? "What, a love & light New Age guru-wannabe? Get outta here, we've got a planet to run and countries to invade!"

And sure enough, Sleepy Joe™ may be bordering on senility, but that's where the vice-president comes in. It has been done before. Lyndon B. Johnson took over from John F. Kennedy, and Gerald Ford took over from Richard Nixon. So if Sleepy Joe™ decides to bite the dust or relocate to an elderly care home, then his vice-president will take over ─ and from what I've just read in the news, it has just been decided that this would be Kamala Harris.

Yes, she's a woman, but she's malleable, and she's only going to be the running mate for now, which would make her into the vice-president if Biden wins ─ not the actual president yet. They're counting on Sleepy Joe™ still being able to hold his act together for the better part of the coming four years. After that, well, that's too far ahead into the future. There might be other alternatives by then.

The people who voted Trump into the White House all voted for him over the wrong reasons ─ just as the ones who are still supporting him now are supporting him for all the wrong reasons, not to mention the huge cognitive dissonance between what the QAnon believers and the alt-right fanatics believe Trump to be, and what Trump is time and time again showing and proving himself to really be.

But those who will now be voting for Joe Biden will also be voting for him over the wrong reasons. They're not voting for Biden because he'd be such a great guy or a visionary ─ which he most definitely isn't, and never was ─ but they're voting for him because four years of Trump's lies, nepotism, false promises, narcissism and general incompetence was already too much for them to want to endure that buffoon for yet another four years.

So, in essence, in the minds of the American population ─ regardless of what side of the bipartisan isle they're on ─ the US elections have gone from voting for the status quo candidate you like best to voting for the candidate you hate the least. The lesser of two evils, and in the eye of the beholder.

And what that should tell you all is that if the vote is for the lesser of two evils, then the system is utterly broken and needs to be replaced by something better. But that is never going to happen, because the system is self-reinforcing.

Many US states don't even allow voting for an independent candidate, or for an independent candidate to run for president. And the amounts of money spent on campaigning is so prohibitively huge that one would never get by without the support from the corporate world unless one is a billionaire oneself.

In addition to that, the US American "left-wing" isn't actually left-wing. The choice between Democrats and Republicans is always a choice between conservatives and ultra-conservatives.

Forget about the purveyors of so-called "inclusive language" and "political correctness". That has nothing to do with being progressive, but all the more with neuroticism, social anxiety and repressed self-acceptance issues. Take it from me ─ and I'm a progressive guy, remember? Besides, the most lucrative career choice one could make in the US apart from becoming a lawyer is becoming a psychiatrist, and there's a reason for that, namely the cognitive dissonance between what US society is being portrayed as in the US media, and what it really is: the land of make-believe.

In my personal opinion, the US political system either way remains what it has always been, all along: a very bad joke. In the end, there's only one winner, i.e. the one-percenters of the corporate world, because they've been (and still are) hedging.

They sponsor both candidates, and the puppet who gets to live in the White House and call themselves the emperor of God Bless America™ for another four to eight years is irrelevant to them. They are the real emperors. They control your salary. They control your mortgage. They control your loans. And the more money they can get you to spend on things you cannot afford, the more they own you.

A pretty sweeping insight. A bit difficult to support. 😁 Joking aside, this is more and more appearing to be a global plan. I wonder what power; if any, the next US President will have to significantly shift the trajectory.

    Default Re: Why Biden?

This is actually an interesting question. If you remember the Democrats started out with 27 candidates in their primary. Some were smart, some wealthy, some successful businessmen, many successful politicians, and one, Sanders, had a very strong base of voters ready to walk through fire for him. Another Buttigieg was an intelligent gay classical pianist, who spoke fluent French, on top of that he was a military veteran and a governor of a midsize American city.

So how in the world did the party end up with a 77-year-old white guy whose career shelf life expired years ago and could very well be in the twilight of his very life. Don't get me wrong for many with age comes wisdom but in Biden's case, his age is, unfortunately, coming with a fairly obvious downturn in his mental capacity. I don't think the knock-on Biden has much to do with opposition party slander, it appears to be real and even his own party is questioning his intellectual acuity. It should be noted that even in his prime he was never much more than a consistent mediocre politician.

So how did the party end up here? The answer is simple, the mainstream media. History is quickly repeating itself. The mainstream media ordained Hillary Clinton in 2016 and assured the American voters that there was absolutely no way that she could lose the election. The American public bought this blatant media lie and the rest is history.

In 2020 the media made it clear early on that Biden was their candidate. One by one they started to pick off the strong democrat primary candidates. Along the way they once again offered poll after poll assuring the American people that the only person who could possibly beat Trump was Biden. They were simultaneously beating the Biden drums while stoking the fires of hate toward Trump. They all but decimated Bernie Sanders, downplaying the size and energy of his rallies. On occasion, they highlighted his age (even tho Biden and Sanders are the same age) as a negative factor. Almost daily they pointed to his socialism and openly said America is not ready for it. Sanders was pushed out by the media leaving Biden as the last man standing.

This may very well be the last time the media is allowed to play such a significant role in the selection of a presidential candidate. A poll came out last week that showed 84% of Americans no longer trust the media. That is an astounding number, politics no longer plays a role in trusting the media. MSM trust has simply evaporated off the planet.

But they're not are they, and rarely are. The media also assumed it was in the bag for Hilary didn't they and look what happened there.

The American public are not stupid in spite of what their media try to spin. Biden's memory lapses grow in number daily and his grasp of reality is fading. How would he fare up against Putin and Xi Jinping?

Oh man! That montage is even more hilarious watching it a second time after a good nights sleep.

Why Joe Biden? Purely speculative view could have something to do with the Epstein-Maxwell case that’s still ongoing. Is there anyone in the DNC who, behind the scenes, isn’t either ensnared by the Muslim brotherhood or has control files from Maxwell and Epstein’s blackmail racket?

If team Trump and the DOJ are now in possession of Maxwells case files. They’d have every corrupt politician in the crosshairs. It might be a case of the DOJ or NSA or whoever is processing the Maxwell files, have said the only candidate they’ll allow the DNC to run is Joe Biden, or else.

Beyond Bidens obvious slide into dementia, let’s not forget he’s also a child molesting creep.

He also helped write the 94 crime bill which specifically targeted black communities. All that systemic racism people complain about. Well yeah, Biden is one of those people who pushes racist policy. The irony.

Biden is by far the worst candidate the DNC could ever put forward. He’s just so easy to attack on so many fronts that his election is doomed to failure. My speculation is that with the Maxwell case files, the DNC has been cornered, putting Biden out as candidate is little more than a walk of shame for the DNC party. Abject humiliation for their worldview and the agendas they’ve been pushing. But that’s a purely speculative interpretation. I guess we’ll see how many people truly fall for the fake news polling propoganda come November.

And even that might be a double-domino effect, not a single one. If his VP were unable to take up office for some reason, then their VP would be the president for three and a half years. And that could be someone no-one reading this would ever want to see.
The job goes to whoever happens to be Speaker of the House in Congress in that unlikely case. Default Re: Why Biden?

A column from The Hill a few months back

    https://thehill.com/opinion/white-ho...lace-joe-biden

Quote A Hillary Clinton-Barack Obama ticket to replace Joe Biden? Is it even possible?

Desperate times do indeed call for desperate measures. For the Democrats, a truly desperate time could come if Joe Biden is forced to withdraw from the presidential race. While the former vice president is the presumptive Democratic nominee to face off against President Trump in November, his nomination is still far from official.

Some Democrats tell me they fear that Biden’s political survival is getting more problematic with each passing day. They cite three main issues. The first is their concern that an allegation of sexual assault leveled against Biden by former staffer Tara Reade won’t go away anytime soon. If anything, it appears to be about to gain a new life.

Next, they worry that another shoe could drop regarding questions related to Biden’s son Hunter and his business dealings. Lastly, some Democrats are concerned about Biden’s age and possible cognitive issues — a concern that some also have expressed about Trump.

For those reasons, and a few more, might we envision Biden being privately talked into retiring from the race or voluntarily doing so himself? Let’s assume that happens just before or just after the party’s convention, in whatever form it is held. What would happen then?

The process is actually fairly straightforward. If Biden quits the race right before the convention, delegates would select a new nominee. If he drops out right after the convention, members of the Democratic National Committee would pick their replacement candidate.

Who might be in consideration to become the new nominee — and who would be selected as the vice presidential running mate? Several likely combinations come to mind, starting in many minds with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, but one particular, truly out-of-the-box combination stops the discussion in its tracks: Hillary Clinton as the nominee and Barack Obama as her running mate.

Now, before everyone rolls their eyes, let that sink in for a moment and do some fairly simple calculations about voters and swing states in your heads. No matter how you add it, subtract it or divide it, that math would spell trouble for the Trump campaign.

Could such a scenario come to pass? If Biden flames out and the Democrats don’t want to hand the election to Trump, they would need to do something incredibly creative in a flash.

So now the “Hope for the best, prepare for the worst” cliché comes into play. While most Democrats hope Biden can survive the scandals nipping at his viability, party leaders need to prepare for the worst — that he drops out.

Some Democrats have confessed to me that having Biden drop out, for whatever reason, might not be bad news since they aren’t convinced he can beat Trump in November, despite polls showing him in the lead at this point. And they believe (perhaps a bit wistfully, in some respects) that a Clinton-Obama ticket would be a nightmare for Trump.

The next obvious question is this: Does the Constitution allow Obama’s selection as a vice presidential running mate, given ambiguous language in the 12th and 22nd amendments?

The 12th Amendment states that no one “ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice President of the United States.” The 22nd Amendment — the “not Franklin Delano Roosevelt again” amendment — states that “no person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.”

The operative word here might be “elected.” If Obama were selected as Clinton’s running mate, and she had to leave office for any reason, then Obama would succeed her. At least one constitutional expert is on record saying there is nothing to prevent such a scenario.

But why would Obama, who has endorsed Biden, ever entertain such a possibility? I can think of two reasons. One, he would be seen among liberal, Never Trumpers as the one who stepped up to save the nation. Two, there is no heavy lifting involved. Obama could move into the vice presidential residence at the Naval Observatory, considered some of the most beautiful, secure grounds in all of Washington, and do as much or as little work as he wanted. His only real task would be during the campaign, to push Hillary Clinton over the victory line.

Some of the smart money may be placed on Joe Biden not becoming the Democrats’ nominee after all. And, at least in a few minds, it may be time for plans “C” and “O,” Democrats.

That would be an interesting combination.

I think how it would play out depends on how the first two sections of Amendment 25 are interpreted.
Quote 1. In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.

    2. Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.
If both the President and Vice-President are for some reason incapacitated then the function would fall to the Speaker of the House, as I understand it.

The Speaker of the House, currently Nancy Pelosi is second in line to the President. First in line is the Vice President, who, if Biden wins, is Kamala Harris (his vice presidential candidate announced yesterday).

I was talking to my delivery guy for welding gases yesterday , he drives all over the state . He said he's seeing 10 trump signs to 1 biden. This is the same way it was last election when I drove to south carolina just before the election, I saw trump signs everywhere , even handmade ones and barely a hillary- the beast signs anywhere. Oh yeah and the news media where all over trump -doesn't have a chance, what a foul, he's a jerk, they laughed day after day too, nobody would ever vote for him.

I put a trump sign out at the road last week , zipped tied it to the sign post cause they stole the other one. I have a state of michigan building right in front of me so it was on my drive but off to the front corner of their lot. Guy from the state was taking pictures of my sign , wanted to call the cops not because the sign was there but because he hates trump, Trump derangement syndrome guy. So the lady from the state building brought my sign back and gave it to me and convinced the guy to not call the cops. Here's the funny part, she asked me if I knew where to get more of those signs , I had a bunch in my truck so I gave her a bunch. Wait til they see what I'm putting up later today , LOL.

Don't believe the media, don't believe the polls. Trump just signed all those executive order , no more federal deductions out of your check, extension of supplemental weekly benefit, suspension of student loan payments, and making the united states most favored trade status so if you can buy a prescription drug for .10 in mexico and it costs $2.00 here , you will now be able to purchase that drug at the .10. He also signed the federal law "Right to Try" for drugs such as hydroxichloriquine . If you want that script you can ask your doctor for that script and if they refuse it is now against the law. He's looking out for the american people, not like pelosi and crew that had 11 proposals in front of them for a new bill for relief and turned down every one of them. So Trump went around all of them and did it himself , again. Pray for him every day and for his safety. Like he said he has a lot of rich powerful people that don't like him at all.

I was a life long liberal dem for my entire life including voting for OBama. Im very much an anti war guy. With the outrage of BLMatters etc, you would think people would also agree that darker skin Iraqis lives matter as well . We killed and displaced millions of people, families, children etc under false pretenses with the never ending war machine . Now we have a President who has brought soldiers home and avoided conflict. No war. And it totally goes un noticed as if its somehow taken for granted.
Any party that will stop at nothing to get rid of this guy , is the guy for me.
