Default My thoughts on life and being kind.

I believe after seeing some of my own beautiful country that the ultimate truth in being a man or a woman is not in how smart or clever they are or their material wealth, I believe that it is in his or her imagination of sympathy, in the expansion and illumination of the heart, it is in the act of self sacrifice, it is in the ability to have within you the capacity for extending peace, goodwill and love far and wide across all barriers of a persons position and colour, it is also to realise that this world is not a storehouse of and for mechanical technology but the habitation of men and women's souls with all of their beauty and the inner light of a divine presence. It is to this end I strive for Peace for the planet I live on and the to love the people I know and even the ones I dont. I'm an old hippie and I think it will happen...one day...and hopefully soon.
    Blessings to you all

And what a crook he turned out to be. People can find really right things to say, and they do all the time, but words are only words.

Ooops, have I just said the wrong thing ?

Maybe just follow some of the Buddhist teachings that HH Dalailama has actually given : https://www.dalailama.com/videos

( all free at no expense for the viewer)

instead judging him according to media releases portraying him as some kind of comical figure with notoriety for ruling the world.
    Neither of which is correct.

Most of my former friends who express strong antipathy against Tibetan Buddhism and specifically the Dalailama are kind of “hidden communists” on inside.
The idea of basic inequity by birth and the fact they “oops ouch can’t” receive the same amount of respect as he does disturbs them so much that they can’t cope with it.

China destroyed Tibet for the same reason I suggest.

They even installed their own version of Panchen Lama in Tibet instead of the Tibetan boy they kidnapped who really is a loyal puppet figure there for show.

I think this loss of humane values happened to many religions worldwide at some point turning them to distant sects with little impact on modern society.
Tibet itself payed heavy price for distancing from the rest of the world for many centuries.

Being more considerate and compassionate to others can fix anyone’s day, and life, these days especially. Except for the baddies of course.

I think if you live a principled and disciplined life, with an emphasis on truth, kindness will be a natural consequence of that.

I pursued goodness and life rewarded me quite spaciously for my soul, dedicated tenfold to the good will to classify the truth in pure help for those around me.
I had to win with the patience of my heart not to lose any dream of the people around me, I won modesty, it was an objective virtue gained through experience, but always intertwined with sincerity.
I believe that sincerity exposes the most beautiful truth and the greatest comfort among people.

I had nothing to lose as much as I managed to forgive in my life, justice seems to have always been in the peace of soul freedom, I never lost believing in the power of Life, I united this with the power to give and never to strive for goals undeserved.

I have always honored the path of unconditional love, being gentle becomes a more than optimistic background, rather essential.

I was faced with great storms of inappropriate human nature, and yet all I could offer was my mere quality of being just a human being in all my vulnerability, and somehow, that taught me to love people even more. .

I believe that by constantly trusting in people's abilities to be good in the depths of their hearts, their potential to be good will eventually grow into a truly immense empathy.
To resonate at the same wavelength with the emotions of those around us, to prove that we feel them beyond words, in their feelings, increases the opportunity of intuition, to become a good man for whom authentic honesty will always prevail.

"Encourage them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, to be generous, ready to feel together with others."

"If you wish to experience peace, provide peace for another."
"The more we care for the happiness of others, the greater is our own sense of well-being."

"Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible. Always."
And all this to be just human.

There is no such thing as 'Perfection'
To even try is a lost path.
    Strive for 'Affection'
Quote Affection or fondness is a "disposition or state of mind or body" that is often associated with a feeling or type of love. It has given rise to a number of branches of philosophy and psychology concerning emotion, disease, influence, and state of being. Wikipedia
From that you can say your on a worthwhile path.
Being on that path will lead to to Love, care and kindness to all and everything.
I'm a simple easy going guy that is very upset/sad with the worlds hidden controllers!
We need LEADERS who bat from the HEART!
Rise up above them Dark evil doers, not within anger but with LOVE

An ex stepson of mine who I have now shut the door on due to his repeated acts of non kindness costing me thousands asked me one time "How come you havn,t changed your ways in helping people?". My answer to him was that if I ever changed my ways because of other people's actions then I have become what those people are and I refuse to let that happen". All knowing that by staying the path of who I am makes me vulnerable to being taken advantage again . I have however hopefully become wiser in my 58 years on this planet that if I see even a shimmer of deception I now have a sword on my side and turn the other direction not looking back even once.

I own a repair shop and have adopted that every Friday I choose one customer that gets their services needed done for free, my comment is always in exchange for that to" do something for someone else".

By all of us expressing acts of any kindness at anytime even just opening a door for a stranger at a store, we are throwing positive energy in our universe and that form of energy is good for all of us to be around. .

Sorry DeDuskshyn for answering here but I haven't found the original post of smeakhead @norman .
So, therefore to reply to norman. Are you enlightened? I guess not. You can only judge another Human being if you're enlightened. Otherwise you turn out as the smeakhead you are. What do you know about Tensin Gyatso? I guess nothing at all. Just refering to what you find on Google e.t.c.
I'll finish here with Love and compassion for all, even for you norman.

Blame thousands of years of human conflicts for the world we live in, it is all about convictions.
Convincing people to be kind to each other is not easy if they don’t believe in it and did not practically experience that it works.
Some people can not recognise kindness from weakness, too proud of themselves, they have long way to touch the bottoms of their souls.

So many still believe in •eliminating enemies
•women and children being soulless object that can be handled, sold, impregnated for free by their ideas
•pain, punishment and torture as education tool

It takes so long to convince them to stop drinking themselves to agony, so long to explain that self torture and harming others does not help.

Sometimes I think it’s nearly impossible because they are like spirits of old who “don’t want to forget” offering rather sarcastic sense of comfort to humanity and an answer to about everything.

And there in the darkness covering the forms the proof of the Spirit like a sparkle of Light arises spontaneously, either or not.

It appears as if from nowhere ..

the light, loving kindness of heart or brightness of the meaning.

A divine sparkle that often moves us ahead in the darkest hours

It lights the space even for a brief moment and dispels the suffering of the doubter, the idiotic mind split to millions of thoughts and questions.
Yet it takes a quantum information unit for the doubting mind to disappear and arrive at the state of next Knowing.

Think kindly of all, speak kindly, act kindly but do not forget to work on your discernment and rise beyond the question and the questioner.

    🌟

Im impressed with generosity and Im very mindful each day to practice it. Generosity is an aspect of love and seeing the "other "as yourself. It can take the common associated form of giving others money, but that is not on my mind here

A generous person notices those who are of no direct benefit to them. They give when nothing of any apparent immediate value is in play. A young person including older people in their daily life is an example. A beautiful man or woman including those without physical beauty . A person willing to sacrifice their own attention to grace others with it.

I always wish to see a big body builder or muscle bound type be kind and gentle with the average guy. To have that reserve of strength at his fingertips and yet carry it with a sense of kindness and restraint . How rare, to have the opportunity to be a Prince at his fingertips. Yet how few choose to use it as such .

The same is a stunning woman with all eyes on her. To be generous to those without such attributes by inclusion into her world as true equals. Yet how few seem to do so, rather choosing to use it as a weapon of separation. A true Beauty Queen at her fingertips , yet how few seem to choose it.
Its why I believe we are all designed perfectly with our aging and lifespan. To see who can catch on to this ultimate secret of true happiness in a reasonable time of life experience.
Its something so so easy and obvious, that its almost impossible to discover until you have lost it.

Well said, I have often had the same thought.

So, therefore to reply to norman. Are you enlightened? ...
I'm not sure that that reply I made makes me enlightened, but it was a display of facetiousness, sarcasm, and a bit of teasing thrown in ... I'm not sure those qualities would betray ones level of "enlightenment" though ... perhaps you misunderstood my post. In that vein, perhaps I misunderstood norman's, and perhaps I am misunderstanding yours? Who knows ... I tried to search smeakhead, excited to finally find out what I was, but google gave me nothing.
I think that intention is not read sometimes and so the message is missed. What IS a smeakhead. It sounds suspiciously like a blend of smackhead and sneakhead. Stupid, dry and misunderstood humor sneaks out when I am off my gaurd. Statements make me sound like a smackhead. I look back and cannot believe what I said and never looked forward to how others would then interpret me (from the implied incorrect political statement). I am usually quiet but when I am tired and my mouth opens.... Who knows what may happen?

The last time I cringed was just a couple of days ago. One of my co-workers with 4 kids was saying how tired she feels and describing house work ahead of her. I said... "But don't you have slaves at home? Isn't that why people have kids, so they will take care of the chores?" I don't usually think about race at all but others do and the room all looked at me because she is "mixed race". She luckily knows I am a kind person and do not act like a racist. My goal is stay quiet and just ACT kind.

Well I think missed intention has been abound on this thread, lol. (Edited my post just before you posted this) ... I have a hard time staying quiet sometimes ... and I rarely pass up the chance to poke a stick at people - it's a good intentioned stick of love though, but it does have a pointy end ...

DeDukshyn, I love “a good intentioned stick of love but it does have a pointy end”...I can so relate to that. I have to remember sometimes that no one can really “see” my intentions depending on my words and tone alone. 🥺 Diane
