    I had never heard the Jazz version 'Golden Brown' and it's wonderful.

    I remember having Golden Brown original by The Stranglers on my cassette player a la Sony Walkman back in the '80s while doing military service.

    Īt's a very dear song to me! almost sacred to me.

    Yes it's a wonderful song. and fantastic to hear so many versions. I do like the Stranglers version best. According to wikipedia the song is about heroin and his former girlfriend
