Default Times are a-changing - again

Here in the uk, a teacher can have 200+ pupils into her classroom in a week. Yet, she cant have a coffee with a fellow member of staff,

15 people are allowed to attend a wedding but 30 can attend a funeral.

Out the pubs by 10.00 and no more meetings of 6 or more.

£200 fine for mask flouters and our Prime minister is asking the army to asssist police on the streets and to enforce fines.

People banned visiting each other yet people living alone "are exempt"

Under 12s are exempt too - apparently.

    eee me.

Masks are only the beginning. Next comes contact-tracing, mandatory vaccines, inspection of living quarters (for sanitary conditions or practices -- guns are not deemed a healthy lifestyle choice), social credit scoring, and the sky's the limit as far as what they will want to inspect and approve of.

Any more arguments about how we live in the free western world?

All madness, yet my oldest son says I hope people behave themselves, follow the rules--Sigh!!
I suspect less people will this time and then they will be blamed for a total lockdown in October--in order that we get Christmas free of major restriction.
There will be another mass protest this weekend in London that will flout the six rule so I wonder how that will go.

I like the story Leuren Moret tells about working at Livermore Labs in California in the 1980s. She asked a co-worker why there were Soviet generals being shown around the top secret location. He told her they are flipping the capitalist world to communism and the communist world to capitalism.
