    Hi Lost Soul and Limor.
I believe in levitation too Limor. Considering how physically exhausting the levitation seems to be (as seen in the Shaman's breathing.. affected facial muscles and when he "drops to the ground like a stone" .. I believe this vid. is real.

Wow. I must say, for me that had the ring of truth about it.

If you were a Mom, and had a little girl who could levitate, wouldn't you go together with her into the woods to practice where no-one would see?

And look at how she grabbed the little girl's hand and took off...

Two versions of the video below....

Whilst this is extremely interesting, the only thing for me that cause concern is the fact that the camera has moved and not caught how the little girl has come down. That takes away alot of it for me! Had she been seen coming down naturally then WOW. But with this being hidden, it leaves it open to doubt.

The tipping of the man's camera bothers me too. It just so happens to be at a critical moment in the video.

That being said, I don't doubt that there is genuine levitation (as seen with ET craft, plasma orbs, etc) at all but I am immensely curious as to the physics of it... if gravity is a wave, it would be a matter of 'unlocking' one's whole physical body from those waves, perhaps shaping the structure of the waves to pull/push one's body upwards (maybe similar to how magnets repel when two like poles face each other?). As to how one would go about doing that 'unlocking', I am currently without hypothesis.

There doesn't seem to be enough visual evidence to say for sure the girl is levitating or not.

Regardless, it is possible for humans to attain these capabilities, in this case it would be 'laghima siddhi'.

Siddhi is a Sanskrit word that literally means "perfection", "accomplishment", "attainment", or "success". It is also used as a term for spiritual power (or psychic ability). The term is used in that sense in Hinduism and Tantric Buddhism. These spiritual powers supposedly vary from relatively simple forms of clairvoyance to being able to levitate, to be present at various different places simultaneously, to become as small as an atom, to materialize objects, to have access to memories from past lives, and more.
There is the concept of the Ashta Siddhi (eight siddhis) in Hinduism. These are:

Aṇimā: reducing one's body even to the size of an atom
Mahimā: expanding one's body to an infinitely large size
    Garima: becoming infinitely heavy
    Laghimā: becoming almost weightless
Prāpti: having unrestricted access to all places
    Prākāmya: realizing whatever one desires
    Iṣṭva: possessing absolute lordship;
Vaśtva: the power to subjugate all.
In the Srimad Bhagavatam Lord Krishna describes the Ten Secondary Siddhis as:

anūrmi-mattvam: Being undisturbed by hunger, thirst, and other bodily disturbances
    dūra-śravaṇa: Hearing things far away
    dūra-darśanam: Seeing things far away
manaḥ-javah: Moving the body wherever thought goes (teleportation)
    kāma-rūpam: Assuming any form desired
para-kāya praveśanam: Entering the bodies of others
sva-chanda mṛtyuh: Dying when one desires
devānām saha krīḍā anudarśanam: Witnessing and participating in the pastimes of the Apsaras
yathā sańkalpa saḿsiddhiḥ: Perfect accomplishment of one's determination
ājñā apratihatā gatiḥ: Orders or Commands being unimpeded

Chris, regarding levitating saint, here are just a couple, although I know they are also discussed in 'autobiography of a yogi'.

Levitation as a Gift of the Holy Spirit
Saints who Miraculously Rose and Floated from the Ground in Prayer

    Mar 16, 2009 Marilynn Hughes

Mysteries, Marvels and Miracles: In the Lives of t - Joan Carroll Cruz
Some saints who experienced levitation explained that they also felt a rapture at the same time as they were lifted off the ground.

Many saints have been reported to rise above the ground, some by a little and other by a great deal, during the celebration of the Holy Mass or other prayer times in private. St. Teresa of Avila described her experience of levitation by saying that it comes upon you “like a strong, swift impulse, before your thought can forewarn you of it or you can do anything to help yourself; you see and feel this cloud, or this powerful eagle, rising and bearing you up with it on its wings.”

    St. Joseph of Cupertino

A saint who experienced so many levitations it became necessary to restrict his access to the choir and refectory so as not to cause disturbances during Mass, St. Joseph of Cupertino was an unlikely saint who became very holy. His own family considered him to be an idiot, and didn’t believe he would make it through the seminary. Eventually, with the help of God, he did. But because of his lower intellect, he was still kept to tend the pigs and sheep in the stables. St. Joseph loved this, and it was in this hay-filled barn his levitations are believed to have begun to take place when he would pray before a broken statue of Mary he had taken into the stable.

    Levitation is genuine
Dad used to talk about the Indian rope trick.
The swami was reputed to throw a rope up into the air it would remain vertical and he would climb up it.
India abounds with such stories many are I believe true.
    Thanks very much

I've seen it with my own eyes in Sulawesi - Indonesia.

Sometimes done under the helps of other spirits (not always the good ones). Sometimes done alone with the self spiritual power, connected to the source of Life.

I'll do it one day Maybe, we'll do it all one day.

There's something that appears to be a black object around her buttocks area ... but I have a hard time figuring how a child (~5 or 6 years of age) can have her legs up that high behind her when the natural position (if gravity and rope were engaged in a tug-o-war) would be below her torso. Just the physics of it and a young child's limited ability in resisting gravity ... makes me think the event is real. Also, there's only a few seconds between child in air and mother(??) untangling child from a putative rope and running off. Doesn't seem likely that this event was staged. At least, from my knowledge of time and space and human abilities.

ps: The only thing I can see in the way of a staged event is if the black object near the child's buttocks is some kind of claw contraption (at the end of a long cable) that opens and releases the child. Cable is quickly hoisted out of camera range; and mother catches child and runs. But that may be stretching reason beyond the elastic limit and/or slicing it on Occam's Razor.

At this point I am glad for those that to not understand Romanian... the comments of the presenter are absolutely stupid, presenting the news as "horrible" and "scary" as it was from a horror movie. I quit watching the news a couple of years ago and I had no idea they got so bad...
