Paul, actually both of those links work for me also. It is only if I go to members and try to look at Celine's profile by her name. I also had a problem with the same thing happening when I tried to view a video link posted by Myanting.

I'd suspect from what you've reported so far that Project Avalon's Apache web server logs are throwing a 406 error on your attempts to follow the links that give you the "Not Acceptable" result, that my browser (Firefox on Kubuntu) is converting the accented é in Céline's name to the code %C3%A9 before trying to GET a page with her name in the URL, and that your browser is not doing that conversion.

However I am guessing here. I'd better leave this up to Richard (our master techie) and his good wife Céline (owner of the name in question.)

sneaky trick:
Everyone has both a username, and a numerical user ID.

If you mouse over a user's name 'round here you will see a link.
The link contains both the user number a dash and the user name.
For instance:
https://projectavalon.net/forum4/member.php?22-Céline
and
https://projectavalon.net/forum4/member.php?22
should all wind up at the same place.

Now, Celine pestered us mercilessly for that é in her name. You know how prickly those Quebecois-type folk can be with french stuff. (*Luv you, Céline!)

But, when in doubt, simply note the person's user ID #, go to your own profile page, and scrape off everything after the ?-mark. and enter their ID #. Voila!

Those who don't wish to reveal more details on the site should not feel under any pressure to do so. Peer pressure is the old paradigm.

There are other ways to share info for those participating in the selection process and who choose to do so.

it was a suggestion that floated around a while ago and it is again valide for more reasons then just the 18.

Ofcourse there is no pressure...who assumed pressure?

Its a suggestion,..

Ppl can also modify their profils..add back ground pics and change colors...

I do feel safe, I guess that's what becomes from living in an area which is occupied by protected people. And living close to the mi6 building is always some comfort in a worse case scenario.

So let's start by having some talk of nominations , who has struck a cord more often than not.
Someone who posts with effectiveness.

Does this make them a candidate or not ?

If someone is nominated they have there time issues to think of .?

Then what skill set they have?

Let's have some thinking there first....

I believe effective posting is a good starting point..

perhaps anyone who nominates another should accompany it whit a synopsis of why, or links to posts made by the nominee

Skills vary from one end to another... i would propose that we all update our profile page with as much info as we choose to share..
Then it will be accessible by all at anytime

......... an easy mistake to make, I think.
