    think about it: when is the last time you've actually seen a native american?

    i live in the northeast united states, where there is heavy native history -- you can't go anywhere without seeing those blue historical landmark signs, most of which are basically saying: "this is where we killed a whole bunch of indians in 1888..."

    sure, one could drive up to a reservation to engage the natives, but you'd think there might be 1 or 2 of them walking around in plain view, but no...

    did you know that the native american population in 1500 was approx 12 million, and by 1900 was barely 237,000?

    i just read an article recently, titled, 'Were The American Indians The Victims Of Genocide?' uh...yeah genius, they were.

    i'm partially native american, not much, but just enough to get a break on college tuition. my uncles on my mom's side, however...if you put loincloths on them and sent them into the forest with spears, people would scatter. they all look almost identical to 'magua' from 'last of the mohicans'. they used to tell me that their mother would pull them aside before they went to catholic school and give them a stern warning *not* to discuss their native backround. sad.
