Wow, I have always seen 'things' from the corners of my eyes..... flashes of light, or something move quickly. And I have always just put it down to some kind of neurological phenomena or something floating in my eye. I learn something new all the time on this forum. With this and reading that the ringing sounds that I have had in my ears since I can remember, can also be something that I hadn't even considered before (which I have also assumed was just tinitus)... it's starting to make me think twice about all sorts of things. I've always been so quick to explain things away. Interesting.

that experience in 1987 was the same for me it started me on a journey to know what was THAT. never believed in ufo/et before. Now I know they walk all around us everyday. Seems for me they only show what I can handle at that level, and slowly show you more as you grow. thanks for sharing.

Yes, used to happen often and very clearly as a child and early teens, and I know the same has happend to my son (and still is) - had to explain why it's a good thing, not to be feared.

It started again for me in my late 40's, then again recently. It's why I have the lyrics in my sig (from Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd), although for some reason I can't say or sing the lyrics out loud without getting a lump in my throat....... it means something special. Sheesh. I'm turning into an old softie
"...when I was a child, I caught a fleeting glimpse out of the corner of my eye. I turned to look but it was gone, I cannot put my finger on it now. The child is grown, the dream is gone....."

i get stuff like that too.

there was a blue/grey orb of light that was there for a fraction of a second. that happened three times.
and also i resonate with things just on the periphery of vision.

i reckon, that we are surrounded by beings and stuff.
there was something i used to do if i thought there was something in the room, or around me,

firstly, i never thought about what i felt (at the time).
i think thoughts and intentions can be read.
so what i'd do is, without thinking about it, i would position myself near a mirror,
but i wouldnt deliberately look at it, i would focus on something else,
and then let my attention wander over to the reflection in the mirror.
my experience is that we are more difficult to read when we switch between ordinary view,
    and reversed reflections.
eg, imagine you're standing in the center of a square room, and that there is a mirror in front of you.....
but you're looking to the left corner of the room. you slowly turn your head, towards the right side of the room.....
(this i believe can be read by beings as an intention. like they can see what we see)
as your gaze passes over the mirror, even though you're looking forwards,
the reflection shows a reversed version of what is behind you.
it creates a little unexpected moment where a reaction is required.
just enough sometimes to catch an observer off guard.
    i saw one once.
it was about 5ft tall, aqua/blue skin, blue grey clothing, curly hair, legs and arms were long and thin,
slightly disproportionate to the torso, and it was nervously sidestepping around the perimeter of the room,
like one would if they were sidestepping on a ledge around the outside of a tall building.
imagine how it must be, if you think you cant be seen by someone much bigger than you,
and that youre in a room with them, and you fear your cover is blown!!.

thats just two, of a shedload of experiences i've had. some were mindblowing,

it it said, that in the space we occupy are all of the other planes of existance,
but they dont affect each other because they are on different wavelengths.
to say that there are no other forms of life around us,
is almost the same as saying that this planet, is the only one in this universe that can support life.

when i went there nothing happened!, i was bored out of my mind..................in the Twilight Zone.

As stated before by OmeyocaN777, These phenomenon have are usually reserved for the Delta/Theta state. Deep trance meditation or spontaneous/ either way,,, These things are 'historically' happening while we sleep. I say 'historically' because Things seem to be changing/speeding up. The phenomenon that is supposed to be occuring during Theta, are occureing dureing Alpha (Waking state). Either that, or we are (collectively) Bringing our Theta state phenomenon into our waking realities. It is going to happen more and more as we move toward our goal of 'greater' consciousness. I FRIGGIN LOVE IT. The fact that people are becomeing more and more awake and aware is very exciting.
Yes in meditation is when I see them the most. Also when I am in a very relaxed state, and as soon as I try to turn to see them head on, they are gone. I have seen them more frequently over the last 6 months or so, sometimes drifting by or across or through a wall. The best part of it is when you feel them, as in pressure or it feels like something exhaling a breath on you.
In the light of the day the other light is hidden, never the less that other light still exists seen by other eyes.

I have been cautious to mention this but, For the past two years I have been having moments where I do some eye exercises relieving any tension I might have been building up. Here is the strange part. Lately Ive been focusing on nothing in particular in my vision or line of sight. For a minute or two I see everything shift to an peculiar state. The best way I can describe it is if you have a movie editor program of some kind, and put together the effects of "threshold" and "emboss". After doing this for a while now, I find i am able to catch shadowy movements in my side views more often.

Take this for what you will. I'm finding it interesting to play around with my vision, focusing on how much blood moves to this region, adjusting luminosity on command, etc..

Does anyone do this besides me?

The best advice I've been given on these shadows or apparitions is to not look directly at them. Keep them in the periphery of your vision. It takes practice to keep the eyes relaxed and observe that way. My knee-jerk reaction is to always turn & look directly too.

I think there's a real difference between guides and those fleeting energy shadows. There are remote viewers out there too & they're not time constrained. Just sayin'.

With flashes of light - and moreso light AND equivilent dark spots start showing regularly to you....

go see an eye doctor ASAP.

My mother had this start happening to her about 2 years ago. The fluid in her eye was moving. There is a chance that when it moves, it will tear the tiny muscel things in there, and make you go blind. Stress effects how the fluid moves.

I'll send her an email and ask her if she remembers exactly what it was called so i can post a medical name and a link here for you.

Other than that - i occasionaly see light flashes as well.

Sometimes when i stare at the ground, i can see what appears to be the heat coming off of it. Or like thousands of ants moving. I think this to be an optical illusion tho - as ive been doing this at night at work, in an undercover area thats artificialy lighted. so i know it's not heat dissipating from the ground - hense the optical illusion guess.

    ----------------------------------------------------

Theyr called Flashes & Floaters .... worst case is this could mean that the Retina is tearing away & should get it seen to immediately coz U loose your sight if it does tear away .... they can laser it back if they get it within a certain timeframe ...

    Excellent point, TigaHawk, thanks.

Blood pressure fluctuations and anemia can also cause floating light effects in vision.

Mystique, i too have been seeing little sparkly flashes of light everyday now for about 3 months. at first they were just sporadic, now they are very active....everyday. i also have seen the "unseen" out of the corner of my eyes, and even my minds eye, for quite awhile now. i don't know what they are, but i'm thinking that they are not evil or bad in any way. kind of like guidance for me. thanks for this post Whitehaze, i'm glad that i'm not the only one.

Having seen the title of this thread, I hope I won't upset anyone by tossing in a few lines from the Earl of Essex, His Galliard (by "Weeping" John Dowland)

Quote Can she excuse my wrongs with virtues cloak?
Shall I call her good when she proves unkind?
Are those fair fires that vanish into smoke?
Shall I praise the leaves when no fruit I find?

No! No! Where shadows do for features stand,
Thou may'st be abus'd if thy sight be dim!

I am quite comfortable when I see them, I have no sense of fear or doom. I feel as though they are there for a reason, with good intentions.

Yes we have a inner sense that guides us and we need to trust that !

    Trust your self !

There is no reason to create fear, Many do so with their mind to all that is not clearly known to them.

We have lots of helpers around now and they can as I see, be seen in different ways !

Two years ago I would have said there was probably a biology based reason, but no longer. When I'm focused on watching something pertaining to the sighting event or filming I will see shadows move out of the corners of my eyes. When I look I never see anything. On many occasions while looking out across the creek I would see long silouettes moving on the water's surface. I always attributed it to the ripples. Then last week while filming an interesting small moving light in the forest I aimed my flashlight over to show the trees surrounding the light and it looks like I may have filmed an ET. The small humanoid shape can be seen moving from left to right and I never realized it was there there.

Exactly. Trying to stay relaxed is important. It is okay to get excited, but try and not move. I know that when I am doing my energy work routine, by the eime i am at the crown center (starting from bottom to top) I feel it all throughout my torso up to the crown, an excited 'adreniline' sort of rush. There is alot of phenomenon occur with they eyes at this point. It is hard to keep them relaxed. But this is where the 'seeing through closed eyes' comes into play, and yes, lots of astral beings. At least that is what I believe they are from personal experience.

Well this thread is a little old and I am perhaps slow at getting around two forums but yes

The first time was in 1983 while I was up late one night reading a book. It was about 1:00 am. I lived alone but was never afraid. Being a nurse you have seen so much that you loose fear. All of a sudden while reading I felt a presence. Never before had I ever felt a presence around me and I knew for sure that I was not alone. I felt, and it was true, that there was more than one presence and a feeling of uncertainty overcame me. I slowly looked about the room, nothing there???, put my book down arose fromthe chair and walked into my bedroom and lay across the foot of my bed. I tried to ease the fear by making myself think of something plesant but it did not work. With my eyes closed I felt a movement on the other side of my bed and it felt like someone had sat down on the edge of my bed.

I thought about my situation and then all of a sudden the fear disappeared rapidly. I spoke out loud,
"there is someone here, I know there is someone here, who are you and what do you want of me?"

I heard a voice, I raised up and looked in front of me and saw a young man standing there with a great big smile on his face and he said to me/
"we have come to take you on a journey"
I knew that there was another being there as it had sat down behind me on the bed.
I said. "there is someone else here besides you. I want to see him too"

A voice came from behind me, male, saying
"I cannot come and let you see me because you would be afraid.,"
I said "no, I want to see you'
He repeated, no , You cannot see me because I look different than what you would expect and you would be afraid"
I said "no, I will not be afraid, I want to see you, come around so that I can see you."
I felt him lift his weight from the bed and he walked around so that I could see him. He was about 5.5 tall, stocky build, skin was rough about the face with a lot of what appeared to be scars from acne or some pox of some kind. He was dressed in Khacki pants and a shirt. But he did look different because he had two normal eyes in place where they should be but a third one in the middle of his forhead. He saw right away that I was not afraid and he said, we have come to take you on a journey. And they did. I have written about it in a book I put together about my mystical life. I do not know who they were or what they wanted of me for sure, but they picked my body up between them and we arose and went through my ceiling my roof, and through the trees outside of my house, I watched as we went higher and I could see all the houses in my area as we went higher and then headed south then after a point we then did a 90 degree turn and went down into the earth. There is more to the story but it was the beginning of this sort of thing that happened to me for 30 years. I met up with them many times but I never knew who they were but after years of study I know that their agenda was to wake me up to who I was and not the person I thought I was living this life as a person. I always knew that I was diffenent, and they all were trying to show me who I was and for me to wake up to the that reality. And I refused for some unknown reason. And they kept asking me.......Sue are you sure you are not ready to wake up in this life and remember who you are? And I would hear myself telling them....yes I am sure that I am not ready to wake up, and then the curtain would drop again and everything they told me would be pulled away from my memory and I would only remember the contact, but never remember just exactly what they wanted me to remember.
