Solar Update (March 15)
Solar activity has been fairly low since the M-Class flare activity from late Monday evening with only C-Class activity taking place. Sunspot 1166 has rotated onto the western limb and out of direct earth view. Sunspot 1169 which produced the M-Flare is also approaching the western limb.A new sunspot has formed towards the southeast limb and has appeared quickly in a plage region that has been kickin around for the past week. The next 12 hours should determine if this spot continues to grow. More to follow.
