Please DO send "Love & Light"

I am asking for any and all who see this to please send pure Love & Light straight to my loving companion of 11.5 years, Emma. She is ill, I had an appt. to euthanize her this afternoon but just couldn't do it and have put it off until Monday, the Spring Equinox. I hope to have the strength to do it then.

She is a Golden Retriever, who never retrieved a thing but loved tug-of-war! She chose me when she was a pup and has been at my side non-stop ever since. She saw me through a marriage and a devastating divorce and moved 1500 miles across the country with me. She has seen more of the US than most Americans from her favorite place, the back seat of my car.

I love her dearly.

I totally know what you are going through I had that decision to make 2 years ago with my dog Jake I miss him all the time but you have to do what's best for Emma, she has given you eleven and a half years of love and companionship and now she is needed else where, but always remember she is always with you, but it is time for her to move on she will never forget you the bond will always be there

It's so comforting to know that there are good souls all over the world sending blessings and prayers, meditations, and good wishes for the both of us.

I know many of you know the feeling of closeness, the bond that is felt between us. So many people share that bond with animals. It want to do the very best for her, she has a heart of GOLD and I already miss her.

So far, her passing is scheduled for Monday but the vet just started her on a powerful antibiotic today that may spur her to rally a bit. Of course, it just makes her more comfortable. Such a sweet soul deserves no pain.

I found out today that on top of many other major problems Em has a major bladder infection, so even though I may be putting her down on Monday or some day next week, I am hoping this eases some of her pain.

I went through a similar situation with my devon rex cat bigglesworth (biggs). He was there for me when the ex would give me a hard time or even the adult children were giving me a hard time. I found he had previously been abused (kicked hard) by a previous owner's neighbour who had not got him neuteured and biggs went over the fence to mate with the neighbour's cat. By the time I got him and took him for x-rays then an MRI (which I sort of borrowed from the ex's account to do, ha,ha) he had a long term diaphragmatic hernia from that previous incident. We found out all this from the shelter my son got him from in another state.

Anyway after a couple of years his breathing got worse eventhough I was taking him every few weeks in the end for steroid injections. Then that time had come when he couldnt move and he was in pain. My son was with me when biggs had his needle but when he passed I howled like a wolf, then my son started to weep cuz I was so upset.

I heard my son Matt tell people later that he hadnt heard me cry for anyone even at funerals but I cried from the soul for biggs.

Biggs is in a nice little wooden urn I picked out with a photo on the front and a plaque. He is with me and he is close by. That old saying time heals unfortunately is some of the truth, if your really having trouble Bach walnut under the tongue, one drop, it will tell you on the bottle as well as lavender aromatherapy on the back of your neck and/or burning.

Ofcourse your beloved will always be by your side anyway. xxxooo

I really feel for you nearing, she's a beautiful dog. The bond we build with animals can sometimes be stronger than with other humans, strangely. Be thankful you had the opportunity for her to be in your life.

She is in a lot of pain today. I am on top of her pain meds. She wouldn't urinate this morning. Last night it was bloody (after a first dose of antibiotics for a bladder infection)

She (and I) really need love/light/prayers/positive vibes sent to her right now. If she makes it through the day and night - I will do it tomorrow. We are ready.

I didn't try it because I had never heard of it used on dogs. Their physiology being different. Also, she is 11.5 yrs old (big dog, so old) and I haven't made my mind up that MMS isn't somewhat dangerous. I was scared I would hurt her more, they can't tell us if and where they hurt.

Thank you for asking. I think if she was a young dog, I would have tried alternatives as they bounce back easier.

Sorry, if I am not making sense. I am just so sad.

Love and blessings to you Nearing. I have felt the pain you feel. There is no consolation, only understanding. Losing a loving animal is extremely hard. My heart expands in anticipation of your need.

I really feel for you and Emma and my heart goes out to you both. She is a gorgeous dog and I bet she has had an amazing life with you, she was clever for choosing so well. Our family always had dogs when I was growing up and I know how it hurts when they die but I always knew they were still around, keeping an eye on us.
Please dont be too sad. Thinking of you, blue.
