This ambiguous term may refer to:

1) The leader of the Jesuits, officially Superior General of the Society of Jesus, currently held by Adolfo Nicolás

He is generally addressed as Father General. The position carries the nickname of Black Pope, after his simple black priest's vestments, as contrasted to the white garb of the Pope.

2) An African Pope who will become the last Pope, according to the prophesies of Nostradamus.

3) Maybe an anti-Pope that paves the way for the coming Antichrist.

Another reason for referring to the leader of the Jesuits as the Black Pope is that many believe it is he who really wields power in the Vatican and not the incumbent Pope who is more of a figurehead.
