Cool The key to becoming wealthy (through service-to-others)

"Learn to give and it will be given back to you abundantly, more than you can imagine, multiplied and overflowing. By the same measure that you distribute your generosity, your reward will be measured in return."

    - From the Bible

Jesus gave us the secret to becoming wealthy through the service-to-others path,

    Robin hood is my friend

I'm not so sure about this...
let me qualify that. Some of us feel that abundance or the consequences of wanting "More than you need" is flawed thinking. I would rather think in terms of "There's always just enough". To me abundance implies some waste.

I have always likened this particular verse to intangible assets, as opposed to those in the physical. For example, an abundance of wealth is far difference than an abundance of health, happiness, or laughter.

Generosity has an innate way of expanding and increasing the intangible assets we hold most dear to ourselves, creating a dynamic, synergistic flow of both giving and receiving such feelings.

In my experiences, this is true. In fact it's the very reason for my generosity.

Energy in= Energy out, what goes around comes around, what you to others they will do to you....etc

I guess this universal law is one way for the Human race to take care of itself.

    Peace

Wealth comes in many forms. Real service is done without expectation of reward.

As is the way with most scriptures, the qu'ran has gems in it.
One is this ''whatever you want, want it for your brother first'' and that is definitely a gem.

WANTING more than you NEED is good when you give the WANT portion of your wealth to others.

If you don't have an idea of what you would do for others if you had all the money in the world then "there's always just enough" works fine for your personal needs.

What do others need at this point in time?

I say, is not giving to be done without expectation!? Is not to give 'anonymously' the way of true giving!? Is not to give what little one has and remain with nothing in hand the truth of one's self!? I say, to give and receive 'reward' is the measure of deed, and nothing more will be gained - "what one seeks binds them and what one obtains imprisons them".

Jesus said it was a multiplication equation, more like:

    a = a^2

I agree 100%, in the previous verse Jesus said:

"Do not even let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give quietly and in secret; and your heavenly Father who sees such acts of kindness will reward you openly."

I guess I would never think that I would be the right person to decide how all that money should be spent. Anything I have has always been shared with others. I have never needed wealth to do that. I dont ever presume to know what others need until they make it known. To do so would be to see the poverty in them And by the way I have been rich twice and poor twice. I like the image of bowl and poncho more and more the older I get. Anybody that has ever been truely poor can do wonders with just enough, for themselves and others too

Yes I agree, money does not cause you to feel wealthy, it is the other way around, feeling wealthy in the now is wealth.
Optional - feeling wealthy/abundant also gives you the power to attract any sum of money if you believe in an idea that would need that kind of money.

Jesus is true rock star. His hit album is The Bible. Guess what… Harry Potter hits second position of the charts.
I am sorry but I am allergic to the verses quoted from bible. Most of them are presented as ultimate truth.

In my personal experience is rather the way around. When I wanted to change, first step was to get rid of this kind of clichés. Even thou I was grown in Christian spirit, now I have no believes, no idols, no nothing. It feels just great. Definitively.

In POV it is all about your balance…. For instance I find “love you” people pathetic. They are so scared, small, beginners. The only way for them is to escape from their skin. Sounds familiar?

No wonder why are so neurotic, anxious, fearful… Very easy pray to opposite type of individuals: prepared, focused, decisive, fighters, sharks…However somewhere in the middle is what I search.

To stay in line to the topic, I would rather say: “give if you want to, or not if don’t”. I guess you can make yours, from your experience. Not to copy it from the Bible. How cheap is that?

Beautiful words... teaching gems... ahhh, what a wonderful world!

Wait a minute! How come has this planet become almost completely enslaved after 1000s of years of such wisdom?

Oh, yeah... forgot the psychos using these same teaching gems and beautiful words. Like the ministers passing the plate or the illuminati minions rubbing their hands like these Bush and Clinton guys setting up a Relief Fundraiser website for Haiti before the quake occurred.

Discernment... that's it, that must be the clue; and give Caesar his coins back and to h*** with him!
