I have come to firmly believe that the corporate powers-that-be are actually addicted to money. Its gone beyond greed. It is full blown addiction. I saw this happen to a friend of mine who started out as a great guy. The more money he got; the more lying and despotic he became. But he didn't realize this because it was like a drug for him. He still saw himself as the great guy he started out to be and forgave himself for all the things he thought he had to do to feed his habit.
