Default City of London is legally separate from the UK

Known as "the mile" The City of London is not a part of England, and hasn't been since the early 13th Century. It's a sovereign state, not ruled by English law.

The center of the world's banking and legal systems are the City of London. The City is "a square mile" and in the center of London.

However, The City of London has been granted various special privileges since the Norman Conquest such as the right to run its own affairs [52][53] partly due to the power of its financial capital. These are also mentioned by the Statute of William and Mary in 1690.[54] Today, voting rights for the City of London’s municipal authority are granted to its 32,000 business in addition to residents which now number less than 9000. This unique patronage system ensures that business interests usually take priority.

Despite this, multiple attempts to reform the City have been thwarted, and maintaining these privileges is the role of an unelected official lobbyist in Parliament called the Remembrancer.[55]

The power and influence of the City over government policy has enraged democratically elected leaders down the ages. For example, the former British Prime Minister Clement Attlee, wrote “Over and over again we have seen that there is in this country another power than that which has its seat at Westminster. The City of London, a convenient term for a collection of financial interests, is able to assert itself against the Government of the country. Those who control money can pursue a policy at home and abroad contrary to that which has been decided by the people."[56]

More recently, following the financial crises of the late 2000s, the City came in for criticism due to an apparent lack of control and regulation. It is also claimed that many of the recent financial catastrophes which were partly caused by a lack of such controls, can be traced to companies who work in the City, or London based offices.[57]

English secretive trust laws and strong libel laws are two factors that make the City an attractive offshore haven for the assets of foreign business. Eva Joly states “The City of London that state within a state’ has never transmitted even the smallest piece of usable evidence to a foreign magistrate."[58] This provides a lucrative environment for money laundering and assets to be sheltered from tax, free from examination by law enforcement agencies by maintaining plausible deniability. Rich private clients also benefit through the domicile rules.[59] Although the City of London’s headline tax rate is the same as the rest of the UK, by influencing and using the legal system and laws of disclosure it has the means to allow clients to avoid or reputedly evade tax.

Although there is no agreed definition of a tax haven, many authors have accused the City of London of being one.[60] [61] The Tax Justice Network, goes further and accuses the City of London as being “the biggest tax haven in the world” as well as ‘a state within a state’.

[62] Ian Doyle and Jem Bendell, summarise these claims with the following statement:

the City “is the most powerful lobby in Britain and possibly the world, and as a result . . . exerts enormous political influence to resist regulation and extract tax exemption. It has fostered criminality by ensuring that the City ranks amongst the least accountable of financial centres on the face of the Earth”.[63]

Time to send in a conquering army - The Metropolitan Police. They're a bigger force than the London Police so the conquest should not be difficult at all.

Thanks Muzz. Interesting that they have tried before to consolidate the city with the rest of london, but failed miserably. Fancy having a special lobbyist called a rememberancer in parlimant to make sure they dont.

Oh but no, London is so beautiful in body and soul and mind that it is not possible for it to have fault. I trust that the City of London has always and will always know how to take care of his Lady.

And no, naught you may say shall convince me of otherwise, for all manner of love finds me sublimed around the ancient universal depths and mastery which is London.

Red face Re: City of London is legally separate from the UK

    Thanks for this info!!

I was living in the UK several years, and when I was visiting London, I walked down this area: City of London, and I felt several times a feeling of being around too much power, but a power that do not care about others, just care about more power.

Your words are going to help me to understand this feeling a lot better!

Bracken House, the former home of the Financial Times (!). An astrological clock with Winston Churchill (!) at its heart. St. Paul's cathedral is very close to this place.

Washington is the centre of military endeavours. The City of London is the centre of finance and the Vatican is the centre of religion. The three pillars of control. All separate states within the countries they are in.

When the Mad Hatter referred to the Washington State in post #4, what he really meant was not the state of Washington in the US, but rather Washington, DC. Some people think Washington, DC as a city but it isn't really a city like other metropolitan cities in the US. According to the wikipedia
Quote A locally elected mayor and a 13‑member council have governed the District since 1973. However, Congress maintains supreme authority over the city and may overturn local laws. D.C. residents elect a non-voting, at-large congressional delegate to the House of Representatives, but the District has no representation in the Senate. The District receives three electoral votes in presidential elections as permitted by the Twenty-third Amendment to the United States Constitution, ratified in 1961.
According to my research over the past several years, Washington, DC (where the Pentagon is located) is the military center for the Cabal. The City of London is the financial center of Cabal, while the Vatican City is the spiritual center of Cabal.

It's not "Washington State" it's "Washington DC" with DC standing for "District of Columbia."

Quote The signing of the Residence Act on July 16, 1790, approved the creation of a capital district located along the Potomac River on the country's East Coast. The U.S. Constitution provided for a federal district under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Congress and the District is therefore not a part of any state.

Seems to have been a little bit of a theme today, as I had earlier decided to expand on my original Avalon thread referencing "The Crown" today. (See posts 10 onwards in that thread.) Specifically today the inclusion of an article separated into parts that I have shared on other threads relating to Syria, and also the Grand jury impanelled thread.

Here's another good article from the AIM4Truth website that I'm sharing here that deals with the British (or "Crown") company SERCO.

    The article entitled:

BRITISH CROWN AND BRITISH EAST INDIA COMPANY RULE AMERICA

I'll restate this again as it is very important indeed to be aware of this, just so we can be very certain that we are on track, and cited from that 'Crown' thread mentioned above.

From "The Evil Empire Revisited" the thrust of it is neatly summed up in this excerpt, thus:

"When people think of England, such terms as 'Great Britain,' 'The Queen,' 'The Crown,' 'Crown Colonies,' 'London,' 'The City of London,' and 'British Empire' come to mind and blend together into an indistinguishable blur. They are generally looked upon as synonymous, as being representative of the same basic system. During the 1950s and 1960s the author lived in England (London for five years) without even beginning to realize the vast difference that exists in the meaning of some of the above terms.

When people hear of 'The Crown' they automatically think of the King or Queen; when they hear of 'London' or the 'The City' they instantly think of the capital of England in which the monarch has his or her official residence.

TO FULLY UNDERSTAND THE UNIQUE AND GENERALLY UNKNOWN SUBJECT WE MUST DEFINE OUR TERMS:

When we speak of 'The City' we are in fact referring to a privately owned Corporation - or Sovereign State - occupying an irregular rectangle of 677 acres and located right in the heart of the 610 square mile 'Greater London' area. The population of 'The City' is listed at just over four thousand, whereas the population of 'Greater London' (32 boroughs) is approximately seven and a half million.

The 'Crown' is a committee of twelve to fourteen men who rule the independent sovereign state known as London or 'The City.' 'The City' is not part of England. It is not subject to the Sovereign. It is not under the rule of the British parliament. Like the Vatican in Rome, it is a separate, independent state."

From the AIM4Truth article, the following:

    • Serco manages all patents for the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office. Brits have the first shot at stealing American’s intellectual property rights. This is shocking but true.

    • Serco controls the most sensitive data management systems in all branches of the military, federal government, and state and local municipalities.

    • Serco controls air traffic management, airlines security, airport management and all aspects of ticketing, visa data management, and timetable management.

    • Serco is called, “the largest company no one has ever heard of.”

    • Serco’s efficiency rating in England, Canada, and Australia is below 65% and many lawsuits have been filed against the company for egregious fraud and mismanagement.

    • Serco was paid $1.2 billion to management the data of Obamacare — British company handling American’s private medical information.

I find this SES and SERCO unbelievably frightening.
The closer I get to the mountain the more I know ,I don't know ,nor what to do about it.
That said I will continue to try and make a difference except I'm not sure where or how to do that. My head is spinning.

I believe whoever Madhatter is, he is not likely an American when he wrote "Washington State". The correct version would be "Washington, District of Columbia" the capital of the United States. Washington State is one of the 50 states of the United States.
