    Default The 'time out' thread

I have decided to create a thread that works to re-charge, rejuvenate and ‘chillax’ our members and guests here at Avalon. There has been much chaos, upheaval and contention in the air lately and it has been easy to get caught up in the negativity, none of us are immune, myself included.

The subject matter we have to deal with daily here at Avalon is not always easy to digest. We are often looking at the very worst that the world has to offer and we forget the best!

What I would like people to post here are uplifting, soul-feeding, refreshing pauses for reflection. I would like it to be that no matter which post we choose to read, it will be of benefit to our sense of well being.

Please! No negativity, no sarcasm, no chatter and no sadness!

I would like to begin with my all time favourite, - Debussy - Claire de lune
“David Oistrakh plays beautifuly Claire de lune. Recorded in Paris, 1962, with Frida Bauer in piano.”

Sit back, relax, let the master do his job - you are in for a treat!

    Good idea Donna

I find the value of self reflection to be immense for fine tuning things, maybe even remembering who you are.

Ways to reprogram ones self naturally can be useful.

Perhaps upon self reflection we get a more true version of our inner self's true desire.

I think everyone should try out self reflection, in whatever form is most comfortable. I try to do it when I lay down to sleep. Can be very beneficial.

We humans are an individual and strange
mix of instinct and intellect (and more, of course) .
Smart, but maybe not smart enough .?.
    Developet. Halfways ...

    - Roots and Wings , the old saying .
(give that to your children, and they will manage fine)

    On request,
Monkey grooming , and the developement of
social, or group (and forum?) bonding, trust
and mutual usefulnes and pleasure, and health ...
    (and more, of course)

Please excuse a little digression .
Make of this assosiation what you will .
There are many mechanisms to form
a group, tribe, society or forum.

    - Found (by) this video (lecture) surfing
the internet-wave. Made me smile, and sing .
    - and think of this thread, for some
    reason. Personal Projection Probably.

Enjoy. And please do, sing along ...

And this have to be included; short, funny and slightly different :

    wiki on monkeys:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monkey

How nice to see that primate interaction.

If we sort out the basic Who and Where
    (and How, of course)
we are , then most of the details we like
to argue about would more or less
    solve themselves .

    all well

    Remember Where you are.

That is the key to many reasont confusions.

This, Avalon Forum (AF), is just that, a forum .
    - And a good one for that .....

There was some thoughts last winter about
making AF a model society, the first ....

AF (Avalon Forum) is a stricktly edited and
visibly moderated forum , that is it, for now .

So better to enjoy and imply one self on
that knowledge of the frame of entering ..

    Here

    all well

This is a song that really makes me smile. No matter how bad of a day I have had, or how many things seems like they couldn't get any worse, I can listen to this song, and it all goes away. My grandmother was a very special person to me. She was someone who had true unconditional love for me. That is a gift that is hard to come by.

I thought that maybe if you had someone in your life that showed you that kind of pure love that this song might remind you of them, and make you smile.

    Enjoy

With unconditional love learned from my grandmother,
    Matt

I feel conflicted with threads like this, are we to deny balance and feed into duality? are the down turns not as natural as the up turns?

when is being "positive" too much & when does it lead to feeding duality?

I have so many questions & this forum is a source of guidance to me, yet even here the message is far from clear..

Do I abandon and shun all of the dark to be only in the light? this seems preferable, but it is not what I've seen to be true in my researching, the Yin-Yang is black/white for a reason, vortex power needs the positive AND the negative,, night and day, black and white, can't we enjoy both, doesn't one enhance the other?

I think we are going through cycles that are advancing rapidity (look at the mayan calendar, the vibrations hit higher and higher frequencies, the cycles grow shorter and shorter)

as we transition from low to high frequency it would make sense that the ups and the downs would not only seem more drastic (since one is the counterpoint to the other, one emphasizes the other & makes the other seem more dramatic), this could be a sign of that.

I think I've been seeing this in my personal life, though I'm still very skeptical of all this, its purely conceptual to me as of now and that's worrisome.

    EDIT:

this post is not meant to be against the spirit of the thread, please continue to post videos, I love the stuff you guys bring to the "table"!
