Default Lets Make a List of Barter Items

so if the SHTF big time what would you need to get by?
What do you have to trade with?
What could you stock pile for barter?
Thought it might be good to awaken folks to the idea
of barter and to help them think about these things...
Bater can include services as well as goods

Things for Barter that I already have and does not include what my husband can offer:

    SEEDS
    Vodka
    Ever Clear
    Matches
    Candles
    MMS
    Calcium Hypochlorite (MMS 2)
    Antibiotics
    Pain Pills
    Vitamin C
    Alternative medical care
Conventional medical care - pre and post natal, suturing and other wound cares
    Sugar
    Vinegar
    gardening tools
    Water hose repair kits
    Bed linens..
    cloth diapers/pins

Too often we get caught up in the old paradigm of a value system.

If humanity freely shares the items within this list of "barter items" all material possessions will become available by default. IMHO.

Yep, booze is always a great barter product. Food and medicine. One important factor in times of hardship or disaster is pychological fitness. People who are centred and clear and have things in place for emergencies. Temporary shelter for disaffected people. Help and nurturing. To be able to supply warmth and food and comfort. Mothering!!

Sorry no barter today. I already have DH buidling a house for me.

To my list I would add:

    WD40
    Nails
    Wood Screws
    Motor Oil
    Baking Soda
    Baking Powder
    Yeast
    Canning Jars and Lids
    Darning thread and needles
    Clothes Pins
    Sewing notions

please be aware that Clorox types of bleach to not store long term.
It is better to store MMS2 (calcium hypochlorite = Pool Shock)
It is non toxic when used correctly and stores indefinately.
Available at any pool supply store. Try to get at least 65% or up.
A one pound bag can purify 10,000 gallons of water.

Yes, but will they? From the looks of some of the scoundrels in my neighborhood I have my doubts.

And then I have a few neighbors amongst whom we have discussed food storage extensively and they all think the S is going to HTF but its been 1.5 years now and they still have not stored food.... so this makes me worry that they will want mine and hence I am storing more, which I do not tell them. Will I give them any? Most likely, BUT only AFTER THEY HAVE ROASTED AND EATEN THEIR STUPID PET DOGS that they routinely give people food to!

Tough times require tough love. I'd be more inclined to help families with kids who did not prepare.

bartering is better then any form of currency but sadly bartering can be manipulated and it probably will be one way or another.

I am of the mind set that people should be given what they need to survive and to farther develop they're spirituality with no strings attached basically. (not getting stuff in return).. If there is a form of government after the events, I would hope they give the latest and greatest tech and info that will farther our understanding and farther our spirituality in a positive way only.

I believe Alex Collier say this is what happens with the andromedans. Was in the 2009 wake and aware conference video with him.

Bartering I do not see as the fairest form of trade. There needs to be some form of other exchange.. for what will the elderly do? the infirmed or handicapped? those with little skills in food or machines?

Some people have skills that few others need yet the skills are still valuable to some. with currency of some form they can be rewarded, paid, and take the fruits of their labor to attain what they need for survivial from people who make what is needed.

Its rather cumbersome to have to barter for all that you need. A lot of hauling around of STUFF, a lot of need to learn how porduce many many things.
