Default President Bush supports Wind Energy

it isn't just world media turning against Big Oil...

Quote DALLAS — As the U.S. Gulf Coast battled a massive oil spill, former President George W. Bush told the American Wind Energy Association conference here today, "It's in our economic interests that we diversify away from oil."

"It's in our environmental interest," the onetime Midland oilman added. "And, finally, it's in our national security interest."

Bush, speaking at the Dallas Convention Center, said he believes that his grandchildren "will be driving electric cars, powered primarily by renewable sources of energy."

“I fully believe plug-in hybrids will be a transition to electric cars,” he said. Hybrids are combination gasoline-electric vehicles.Plug-in hybrids can be recharged using standard electric outlets...

AWEA Executive Director Denise Bode introduced Bush as “a wonderful, wonderful supporter of wind,” who as Texas’ governor backed a state law passed in 1999 that helped pave the way for establishment of new wind generation. Texas now leads all states in installed wind generation capacity at 9,506 megawatts, more than double the generation capacity in No. 2 Iowa. If Texas were a nation, it would rank sixth in the world in wind capacity, Bush noted.

Think Cheney has an order in on one of Chevy's new electric vehicles yet?
Coincidence or Destiny, it's all in the art of knowing.... III IIII charts ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Shows how he goes with which ever way the wind blows (pun intended). Typical politician's tactics. Too late for jumping on the band wagon, W.

Being cynical I would be interest what Junior Bush share portfolio covers. He obviously knows all about peak oil otherwise he'd make sure HIS grandkids would benefit from his oil shares. We could say diversifying the risk but as a cynic somehow I don't think.

When W. was a baby, his mother told him, "Say 'mother'!" And he said. Since then, he only says what he's been told to. It's the same for this wind energy scam. The manufacture, transportation, installation and exploitation of this equipment consumes several times more energy than it produces. Regions where this technology is efficient are few and mostly uninhabited. What W. is now told to promote is the new industry that will almost entirely be financed by carbon tax. So, the consumer will pay for electricity twice: for its production and for its consumption. The only beneficiaries, as always, will be Rockefellers, Bushes and other Cheneys.

Tesla, Scherff, Bush ... he should know better that Tesla had free energy already ... so wind energy could be skipped.
