Orwell's nightmare exists in Burma

after listening to this lecture by aung san suu kyi about dissenting parties in burma, i was struck by how close the actions of the military junta mirrored those envisioned by orwell in 1984. this struck me as ironic given that orwell once worked in the burma police force! anyway she is a very interesting lady and recommend her lecture to you all.
