Banana beats anti-HIV drugs

From the article it seems it is not a miracle cure but it is more effective than some products currently in use.

On March 19, a new study to be published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry, scientific journal, concluded that banana lectins, a naturally occurring chemical, has the ability to stop the transmission and prevention of HIV.

This is awesome. It's always blown my mind how people will buy over-the-counter or prescription drugs instead of just EATING WHAT MOTHER EARTH GAVE US! I mean, what seems more logical to do?! Take a drug or food from man, someone who's proven himself to be sometimes untrustworthy and/or out to get all he can get, or take something from Mother Nature, who's always given us beautiful trees and flowers, OXYGEN (that's a big one. ), and physically supported us on top of her? Yeah, that's probably a no-brainer.

An interesting tidbit is that my kitten Josie LOOOOOOVES bananas. Seriously, I've never seen an animal go so crazy over bananas before, and I've had cats ever since I was two years old! As soon as I pull one off the bunch, she stands on her hind legs and CONTINUALLY meows until I let her either lick some of the banana or give her a teeny, tiny piece. I've always thought cats were quite connected with things, so perhaps she knows how good bananas are for us!
