Well I lived in Florida USA my whole life and there are a lot of sink holes there, (so much so you have to insure your home for them) none of them have ever been perfectly round like these supposed sink holes... This IMO is NOT a natural formation. I too would also like to see "inside"

    Sinkhole.

    Why ?

Because that answer is the most boring.

Now that is really interesting... right in line with each other... I wonder what is under the ground over there??? Have there been other sink holes? Thanks for the info!

We are all dying to know what's in there... to see some footage, but i don't think that's going to happen. In the news they say it's about 120 +/- feet deep (if i'm not mistaken). They haven't said anything about how they figured that and when. I think it's deeper than that.

Have you ever heard of the "Rods of God" space weapon? You can google it. I wonder if this may be the "testing" grounds for this weapon... sure would fit...

DonnaA this is not the only sinkhole in Guatemala. There is another one. Actualy the pictures posted in my previous post are from 2007 that's the 2007 sinkhole (i have confused the sinkholes).

    This is the "latest" sinkhole:

I've heard about other sinkholes around the world and saw a few but those aren't like these from Guatemala. There is something with Guatemala...

keeping the distances the same, the 7th hole will be in what looks like a remote jungle area...

does anyone know if there are any ancient temples in that area?

They reported on CNN just now that the latest sinkhole in Guatalmala is real (not Photoshopped) and was caused by saturation from rain. They said that running water from an underground stream can be heard coming from the bottom.

According to what I know ALL sinkholes are caused by rain. The problem with these holes is they are too perfectly round... they looked cut out... this is not how nature works, at least not in my experience. We have running water all over the place underground. That is why people dig wells for water, so that makes perfect sense there would be water down there.

Rocky mentioned 7 holes? Where are the other ones? I just know of the 2...

I mentioned 7 because of these, 7 pillars standing next to circles perfectly round like the 2 sinkholes...

This picture is looking at the 2nd one so I looked across the map positioning them like you see in this photo...

if a 3rd sinkhole happens maybe the Mayans knew of underground power centers that are slowly turning on as we approach the end of their calendar...

Neighbors said the ground had been shaking for weeks after a huge sewer pipe burst, making the ground underneath the houses unstable.

Since when are sewer pipes buried 200 feet down?

Also, the first guy said it sounded like a bomb went off... that would IMO justify the weapon I mentioned earlier... maybe?

Amazing hole. it's just that... c''mon.. if it's a laser beam... why test it in the middle of Guatemala ?? You'd want to do it in a remote location with no publicity.

But it's a fascintating artefact. Wow.
    It has the wow factor.

    So does Everest.

True... unless maybe you wanted to see how the public would react, or how they would try to explain it away? Possibly?

I don't believe it is a sinkhole. But that is just my opinion.

I wonder what happened to the first one, Has it been filled already? I can't find pictures of the place and how it looks now.
I don't think they did research on the first one but now being 2 of them it would be well worth it for some university or independent group to take a closer look.

Donna A.... Spiral over Norway.. Sinkhole in Guatemala... Blue cheese in San Fransisco...

We have no way of knowing

So we can state humble opinions till the cows come home. What does that achieve?

From a pragmatic point of view, I think that the truth is always less interesting than the story... so a beam weapon = story for me. Bad drainage = truth.

I'm guessing this has to do with the hollow earth theory?
