Reiki & Entity Attachment: How to practice Reiki safely?

I have been hunting about trying to get some help with something I touched on in another thread.

I did Reiki Level 1 with a well known and lovely woman. However my experience - and that of a friend who did the course with me - was disconcerting. I don't disbelieve in Reiki but this is what happened:

At the beginning of the course, I perceived a Reptilian on her right side watching. I decided to try and learn from this experience without fear, thinking anyway, maybe I am mistaken?

Anyway, the teacher told us she did not believe in worrying about entity issues in Reiki. She said Reiki comes from the Source, your trust in the Source should be enough to heal you. I felt uncomfortable with this and replied that taking refuge in the Source is not an escape. That healing occurs on many levels and each level has a door and we need to know how to close and open those doors.

The Teacher didn't like this and instead related her own story. A worrying one! She told us she had asked to be shown the dark side, entities etc. and wanted the experience to learn from. She was given the case of a boy who was apparently 'possessed' she did Reiki and found nothing at first. Then she said the mother a few weeks later found out he had seen child porn and was traumatised and was happily seeing a psychologist.
This was quite odd to me and I can only think she did not word her question properly and received a big Entity to learn from. I also think my friend and I were sent to make her aware of this. Inelia says that a person who is not interested in anything but their own modality has a problem, I agree.

I stayed out of interest, confirmed that there was a problem. Then my friend and I were blessed with Reiki - I saw a long claw extend into the crown of every student. I watched and accepted reiki trying hard to protect the energy of the group and myself. This didn't work very well. I went away feeling very concerned.
She had the group practice Reiki on people without her Reiki blessing and then after - I had a much more powerful experience of giving Reiki before her attunement.

In the end I had to do a healing session with crystals to cleanse myself of the link. It was very interesting and I was a bit frightened after that.

So I searched on forums and found that there is a division between the Reiki community in terms of how to cleanse themselves and belief in the issue of entity attachment through Reiki work.

Do any of you have some information that I could use here? I am unsure how to proceed with Reiki now.

I would like to know how to protect myself before, during and after as I now know from personal experience that Reiki can be used to make links to other's energy field to their detriment.

Just thought I would share this question, I think others might benefit from this experience I have had, as being 'attuned' might be a little less wonderful than they think. Good help is hard to find!!

Interesting question. The whole subject of entity attachment is (much like everything else) very strongly linked to where you are at in your own spiritual growth. So this could certainly explain some of the polarity in opinions regarding it.

Regardless of where someone is at on their path, I send protection with every attunement I send, and if people choose to receive that protection when they receive the attunement, they should be fine. I have seen many 'entity attachment' type situations, but none from Reiki attunements I have given to people hands on or remotely.

Also, there are specific attunements for cleansing such type attachments with Reiki.

Lastly, I would suggest to you that EVERYTHING is an illusion. This is a hologram, and none of it is actually happening in any way other than how we choose to perceive it. So, that being said, even if we create something like an entity attachment existing, it still only exists in the hologram and is not actually 'real' per se. This is why you consistently see 'enlightened beings' so joyful and happy and they really do not understand why anyone takes anything seriously at all.

The human game really is just that... It's an illusion. None of this is actually happening anywhere outside ourself. We are one. We created ALL of this to experience ALL of it. All the things we call good, bad and everything in between. The amazing miracle of it all is what an incredible job we have done convincing ourself it is real, and that we are separate from each other.

I still enjoy playing with Reiki and other energy, and believe me, I am still plenty affected by the illusion. We gave us these tools and we can have as much fun as we like playing with them, just as we can make them seem dangerous or threatening or scary. Maybe not the answer you thought you were looking for at the moment, but it was what I felt I should share.

It's true. There are interdimensional beings that are not alined with the Christic Project for this one Universe. So, to make a long story short you will be seeing them ...and others around.
Mind you, that we are talking interdimensional very close to home...3D.

Personal protection...hum ...that is difficult question to answer, because it depends of the connection that you have with your reiki »spiritual» guides.

Anyway, a good start that helps them help you is to do to the 21 days St. Michael Prayer (go to my profile and check the threads). Cleans the aura, implants, past connections, holograms etc.

And do a 10 to 15 minutes merkaba meditation everyday, 2 a day. in the morning and before sleep. Ask your guides for the protection of the white tunel of light and say - «I accept and give thanks for the white tunnel of light».Then see yourself receiving and involved in the tunnel light for at least a few minutes, for a strong connection.

Energise and use ametists on you and add a few cheap clusters to the rooms of your house, etc . The violet color also, helps. Visualize that color to if it's easy for you. The blue color is also, a added element, for it's cleaning properties.

Hi,

When I learned (was initiated) to reiki a long time ago there already was speak of people/entities attaching loads of negativity to reiki.
I was a bit concerned then. Over the years i have had a love/hate relationship with reiki. feeling it was a special gift on the one hand and a healing form seriously lacking integrity.

In the end I decided that Reiki is a wonderful and simple tool. The initiations in my view is no more than a ritual to make you believe you have the power to direct and channel energy.
In living the reiki lifestyle (keeping the 5 precepts in mind) one raises his vibration which in turn adds to the ability to channel harmonizing energies.

In the entity department. Just as a ritual can make you believe you have the ability to heal it can give you the believe you have let an evil entity in.
These days intending all that does not resonate with you to be grounded out for recasting . visualizing this should be enough to handle most entities...

Maybe you can do some cleansing with you reiki(master) however i feel she may be contract bound to this entity and she has to declare that contract void.

I agree with this statement,,,but,,,,I have to say,,,it is far more common in the case of casual sex. Reiki may provide an energy exchange between individuals, but, I don't think it comes close to the energy exchange that takes place between sexual partners. Cords of energy do in fact form and a real bond does take place. It's like what Cameron Diaz said in "Vanilla Sky".

"Don't you know that when you sleep with someone, your body makes a promise whether you do or not."

As far as Rieki and getting 4d parasites,,,,I think what you talk about is a real quandry. It is a question worth asking.
I don't know the answer, but it is a question and a concern worth addressing.

Hi, for me Reiki is a Shamanic Tool, in the Shamanic world it is common to have interaction with entities..negative, positive and even more.... To learn to deal with the fenomenon or to judge correctly is a path like growing to be an adult, sometimes you hang with the wrong friends sometimes you fly with wise-ones... you learn by walking and talking! sometimes you crawl where you're supposed to stand tall and vice versa..

During atunements of any kink, the reiki Master should «clean» the room and the aura of the people he/she is iniciating in the energy. That's what the symbols are for.

I usualy take a bit of time clearing the space and the auraic fields of the people and i do not allow anyone going out or in of the room while I am doing it, of course. This is a serious business...LOL...because this is much like the situation of lighting a strong lamp in a very dark place...flies are bound to show up !!!

If you detect dissonante energy, of any kind...sometimes you don't «see» it, but it is there....call for the protection of your guides, for S. Michael and use the symbols.
Level 1 Reiki praticioners have the symbols on the aura, so you just have to visualise them in action, so to speak,,,don't forget to say the names/mantra of the symbols in a loud voice, 3 times.

Cords are a diferent matter. Chacra connections everybody has them. The presence of an entety /ies inside your auric field is another.
They are call obsessors and it means you have «holes« in your aura. Usually the back of the throat is where they take out the energy. So, again, one should do a cleanning of the aura with the meditation of S. Michael (for 21 days) and repeat everytime you feel drained of energy. And aply energy and symbols there , in that spot - the back of the throat chacra, between the shoulder blades. The reiki Master should have taught you that.

I notice you have a tremendous liking to /experience with the healing properties of calling on archangel Michael.
May I ask how come?

I mean no disrespect, but am puzzled by this giving away of power.
I feel you have all that is needed to cleanse and protect within you. No need to call on a saint to do this work for you..

That said i do notice myself calling on the assistance of the earth mother in grounding out entities.. So maybe we're not that different.

Thank you for replying kisthemum, I think this is a great answer..yet it is strangely unsatisfying on a level too! Lol, that is the way with knowledge sometimes. You can have a burning desire to understand something, but sometimes by the time it makes sense it is no help. Funny. Well, I won't be going back to that teacher, but I can see choosing a good teacher might be a good start in this hologram program. I am happy to learn there are ways of dealing with this within Reiki, I might get some training in Pranic healing before I go back to Reiki. Your site link is very interesting and had some good answers there too.

@Mariadine, thank you for your comments, I can see that you take protection seriously, again good to know that Reiki systems do deal with protection and cleansing in this manner. It's a bit beyond me, about the symbols as we didn't get to that, but I am interested.

@Catsquotl, I think that ritual language is very important, like Mariadine, stating what you want with clear intent and so forth should be good, (I guess contract language is the same, darn shoulda done business degree to deal with this stuff!). As for the teacher, I tried to let her know in a round about way her situation, but I didn't tell her my perception straight out, I felt she should be at a level where she was able to investigate this for herself, while I am at a stage that I cannot yet teach. She cannot teach me herself at this stage, that much was clear.

Btw, like Maria I also deal with clear and specific guides as I enjoy anthropomorphising energy. I find crystals very much like good friends and see them as people in meditation too. Ultimately like kisthemum says, we are all one at some level, but it's not always helpful in this program to be in Oneness all the time, it's really just confusing, I think - at this limited stage I am at anyway!!! So I give strong and defined faces to energy - probably why entity issues bother me a lot, I can see them quite hard edged and clear I think.

00101, I agree with your general chilled out vibe that there a many faces and judging them harshly can be not useful, but for me I am at a stage I would like to be really clear about who/what my energy is unfettered by links to other energies, especially depleting energy. I think I have a strong purpose here that I need clarified energetically. I am sure that I will need all my energy to be of help to others or the planet. Probably I am like this as I have a long past life history of impulsively making energy deals that last aeons, so I have a lot of clutter to clear it seems.

(e.g. Had one past life scenario where my spine was basically a crystallised amethyst spine, constructed by grey ET's and implanted many thousands of years ago. I still feel like my spine is like jelly when I think about the healing, it was really gross. Gosh they were shocked and miffed).

Thank you for your replies, it's all bit mysterious still to me, but I see there is a way with Reiki to deal with this issue if I end up studying further. (excuse the extraneous use of smiley faces, they are just so sweet)

Find a traditional Reiki practitioner to mentor you.

Most methods of self healing have been written out of western Reiki. Find a means of self healing that isn't Reiki related even.

If you do your self healing which can take a fair peice of time you don't have to worry about entity attachments. What is going on inside of a person is what leaves them open to negative energy intrusion. Most of that knowledge has been written out of modern reiki to be replaced with 'nothing' can hurt you. If nothing can hurt anyone than there is no need for Reiki practitioners. Correct? One goes into Reiki in a state of woundedness, and is supposed to exit it in a much less wounded state. The term Reiki master doens't help the ego much, the word master is supposed to mean self mastery not mastery over Reiki.

Here is something i wrote about contact with other entities. In reading it back it seems a bit whacky but in all honesty its all happened so ill re print it here. I do Reiki as well as other modes of healing. I was taught Usui Reiki from Sir Gary Samer who was taught by Dr Barbara Ray. I do have a clinic where i help people heal them selves using Reiki and other methods of breathing and relaxation. I have never had a problem at all with this method.

Then i noticed a sound from behind my left ear.. it was a whirring buzzy sound and i opened my eyes and i looked down and a " Red Lazer Beam " was coming out from my groin area , split off about 1 foot infront of me at a right angle to the right .. It was about 1 CM thick and 5 cm high , rectangular in shape .. I was so shocked by this that i started laughing .. i mean at first i stared at it from a few angles just to make sure i was actually seeing a Lazer Beam coming out from my crotch ! Then i laughed and did a DR Evil Moment and said the word " Lazer " and motioned the inverted commas with my hands in the air .. I was laughing so hard that the beam stopped .. I couldnt help myself, it just happened .. I then apologised for losing control during the ceremony .. But this has happened a few times where i laughed or my ego stepped in and the event stopped shortly after.. In times where i stayed firm but relaxed in purpose without wavering the entire experience took place and lasted about 2 hours..

Information i can share that is core and beneficial when being in contact.

Know thy self ! ABSOLUTELY CRUTIAL ~ !

Be in PURPOSE ! Dont dilly dally with this , its not a form of entertainment. it is Beautifully serious !

PLease realise that the designers of our Universe are partly Technically advanced Artisans and it is customary to speak about their creation in Artisan terms.

HERE IS THE CRUX , The Song of UNIVERSE when coming to a crescendo " can " split off into many CHORUS timelines .. What CHORUS time line you sing is dependant on what words you focused on or learned ... EG if you learn the words to say a Michael Bolton song .. you may find your future is a bit meloncholy .. not to mention an eternity of bad hair cuts and Acker Bilk clarinet in the back ground .. hmm OR ! You could learn the words to Kick Start My Heart by Motley Crue and have a wizz bang of a time when you transfer to the new paradime. You see while these are Amusing Anecdotes they pretty much sum up the END GAME for you as an INDIVIDUAL.

We have experience with some intrusions that were being attempted through Reiki 'masters' on a few occasions. I just followed behind the one and undid everything on the etheric, because that time it was misalignments that were being done to workshop participants. The other time we tried to work with the lady and eventually there was nothing more we could do at the time. Luckily most of the community in the area knew that she was not working in protected space. Oh, I just remembered another lady who was definitely not aligned.

The majority of these problem situations resulted from the fact that these individuals were operating from their own 'shadow side'. They were powerful in past lives but in this one were caught up in ego, greed, control, image, status, etc motivations. Weirdly enough they were geographically close together.

The first one I mentioned was a huge problem, as many attacks on multiple levels, and damages were being done. But this was/is a case of a major infiltration from the dark lords of Orion, a walk-in with great power. (still practicing) Many adepts will be tested by ones such as these in the final stages of their training. There is apparently an agreement to let this person continue, because the attunements are of the highest power.(accompanied by awakening of the kundalini which the reiki energy runs along)

I'm not comfortable with just asking a disincarnate to protect. The challenge is to raise your own frequency above where they are, and then you won't be bothered.

Having someone do Reiki on you is a personal thing. You are intertwining your energies. So its important to let someone that is well studied. That has very few ideas about limitations. Just liek a doctor ... you dont go to one with photocopied certificates .. lol


And just like a doctor , who generally prescribes chemicals as a cure to abate symptoms as opposed to curing the cause... can harm your spirit and body together.

Reiki and other forms of healing are meant to promote the patients ability to heal them selves.

Scientifically stress has been proven to cause all sorts of ailments. For one Stress depletes your magnesium, B3 and B12 levels which in turn can create further disharmony in brain function as magnesium calms the mind. You can imagine if this is not paid attention can spiral the person into constant stress and dis ease. Reiki at very least is a form of relaxation that helps BALANCE and restore harmony through relaxation. Really this is what its for and we must take time every day to re balance and relax.

The human body and spirit is capable of enduring amazing amounts of stress.. however like anything , it needs maintenance in order to recharge. Simple relaxation, good vitamin balance, good food , no junk food or soda please ! and guess what ? Your spirit will SOAR ! you will be more effective ! and helpful to your community.

all that is happening now .. the awakening , its a time to learn things of the spirit or things of energy transfer and belief structure that surrounds it. We have to be brave and pioneer our own experience. I have been in front of things that , a few years ago would have made me cower in fear. But now all i do is nod and show respect and love, No judgement , no fear , just respect and love. This is the key !

But before you can be in front of just anything you must KNOW THY SELF.

We are headed to more learning , this is a stage of cutting teeth on the spirit and how it works. this is the time to head through the fire and learn without fear... whats the worst that can happen ? the two time lines await you

sit on a fence and get piles ... OR ! Get in your ship and venture the universe !
