It seems that the oil well is still active and unpleasant surprises may lie in store for all of us.

I am surprised though that this thread has been so quiet lately as if the Gulf issues have been put to rest. How about the leaking oil well, Corexit pollution, sickened population, extinct marine life and so many other issues? Have BP managed to silence us the same way they have done it with the mainstream press (not difficult to do I gue$$), independant journalists and investigators (desist or be killed)?

I was amazed to read in one of the articles on that same blog about how one family's pool is heavily polluted with Corexit and that many if not most of the neighbours in the area (Florida) haven't even heard of Corexit and its "blessings". If that is the truth than it should not surprise and outrage us to see adults and, worse, children "enjoying" the Gulf waters. Well, since the President was shown bathing in it then it must be safe, right? You be the judge.

Chris411 I'm surprised as well as to how quiet this thread is. Everyone is focused on hurricane Earl as it maycause widespread devastation on the eastern seaboard of the US from the Carolinas all the way north to Maine. The next 24 to 36 hrs should give an indication of how bad it may get. ---About these black blobs in the video. Are there any "oil experts" willing to go on camera to address this ? Weren't the blobs reddish before why are they black now ? So many questions unanswered and there is still 2 more months of hurricane season for a cat 4 to go deep into the Gulf.

It is time to turn off MTV. The Gulf of Mexico has been poisoned & time is running out before mass sickness sets in.

First Americans were told by President Obama, "This was the worst environment disaster in US history." Now we are told by this same class of master teleprompter readers to believe that the "Worst Environmental Disaster In US History," has just disappeared? That matter can neither be created nor destroyed, but all the oil can vanish, dissipate, dissolve, & be broken down by microbes, the tide, and warm waters, unlike the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill. We are still expected to believe that the this lighter crude that is a thick goopy gel & tar balls, resembles the light fluffy clouds pouring out of the BOP as seen on the live feeds?

The story is now that there has been some 2.15 million gallons of toxic lethal chemical corexit dispersant sprayed and still being injected into the beautiful water of the Gulf of Mexico, but it is safe according to the EPA, Coast Guard, & every other agency that could be charged with crimes against humanity for poisoning the Gulf of Mexico. Dr Riki Ott and Dr Susan Shaw, both marine toxicologists, worked on ground zero during the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill, know that corexit is not safe. They openly state that the toxic nature of these chemical dispersants is so lethal, it literally melts the Central Nervous System (CNS) damages lungs (vapors), and literally destroys entire organ systems, including the blood cells, which Dr Shaw stated were literally turned inside out and excreted in the stool of Shrimpers exposed to high levels of corexit earlier last month on Rick's List (CNN). A video clip that has since been pulled off CNN's website video archives.

It is of great significance for everyone to note that the symptoms of toxic dispersant poisoning are strangely similar to those of dengue fever flu that is surprise, surprise, having an outbreak all over the Southern portion of Florida. If you, a family member, or friend, have fever/flu like symptoms, rashes, lesions, bone pain, persistent nausea, vomiting, dizziness, consider getting tested for toxic poisoning, even if you have not been to the beach, as the fumes, the vapors, carry in the humid Gulf air.

Striking resemblances between BP's Gulf of Mexico disaster and a little-reported giant gas leak in Azerbaijan experienced by the UK firm only 18 months before have emerged from leaked US embassy cables.

The cables reveal that some of BP's partners in the gas field were upset that the company was so secretive about the incident that it even allegedly withheld information from them. They also say that BP was lucky that it was able to evacuate its 212 workers safely after the incident, which resulted in two fields being shut and output being cut by at least 500,000 barrels a day with production disrupted for months.

Other cables leaked tonight claim that the president of Azerbaijan accused BP of stealing $10bn of oil from his country and using "mild blackmail" to secure the rights to develop vast gas reserves in the Caspian Sea region...
