What do you most enjoy doing?

Why hello there ladies and gentleman, I've been mulling over this one for a little while now, I was just wondering how the fine people of Avalon most enjoy spending their time! What's your favourite activity?

Allow me to share my niche in life, personally for me there's nothing that I enjoy more than Snowboarding. Whether it's sailing down the mountain at over a 100 km/h, exploring untouched snow out in the backcountry, or cutting 40feet of air in the terrain park. I just can't get enough! I cherish every moment I'm up the top of that hill breathing in the cold, refreshing air. It truly makes me feel alive!

Ok so now it's your turn! What's your favourite thing to do on the face of the earth? Maybe you like to find a peaceful place and lose yourself in deep meditation? or maybe nothing gets your blood rushing more so than singing lead vocals in a rock band? Does curling up in bed with your favourite novel most appeal to you? or do you prefer the excitement of big-game fishing on a charter? maybe your the type who you holds mountain climbing second to none?

I'm fascinated to hear what everyone's favourite hobbies, activities and past-times are! Feel free to share what you most enjoy doing !

Sitting on a beach, in a boat or on an island with a couple of good mates, a fishing rod in one hand, a beer in the other and an esky (or two) full of beer somewhere close by is definitely the way go if you ask me

I go ballooning at least 5 times a year and I love it.

Looking down and seeing the world below and not being part of that world. Knowing for that moment you are untouchable. The breeze blowing on your face, the views, and if lucky a beautiful sunset. Times seems to stand still

Great thread DoubleHelix...we can get to know a little about our fellow members.

Since I am a severe type A personality and find it hard to just sit still, my hobby is building. I don't physically do the building myself, but I love to watch the workers as they slowly transform the pieces of wood into a house. I love the smell of the lumber and walking around trying to envision what the end result will look like.

However, I always find time to play with my three dogs and we sit in the back of our shore house and watch the boats go by. Being with them on a warm, peaceful day is perfection for me.

Ok, after sex it's music. I used to love writing music. I haven't written anything in a long time and I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because I spend too much of my time researching UFOs, paranormal events and all the crap that TPTB have done (and continue to do) to us. I need to start working on putting my band back together and start making music again--that is, after making love of course.

When I am well enough and able I love to detach myself from this computer and do a bit of fishing. When not contemplating things, it clears my head of all the nonsense and troubles, just for a day or two.
The fresh air, the swaying of the trees, the quietness and the beauty of being outside with the British wildlife. When I do catch (which sadly isn't very often), it is usually my target fish of carp, barbel, tench or my most favourite the northern pike (Essox Lucius) ...catch and release with as much care as I can possibly give.
Besides the fishing I have been lucky enough to witness precious scenes like sunrises and sunsets, deer and water voles crossing the water, badgers and fox cubs frolicking about on the grass, kingfishers and herons gathering food for thier young, red robins keeping me company and herds of cows trying to mount each other without a bull in sight. I love it, the trouble is as soon as I am home I yearn to be going back out again.

I am a sun worshiper, so put me on a beach (or my deck) or by the pool, with a cold bud light, or pina-colada, or margarita and a book, because I also love to read. My next choice has to be fishing (in the sun of course, with that cold beer). And NAPPING!!!!! Sleep is a wonderful thing., and if there is a cat purring nearby, all the better. LOVE my cats.
So my not so lazy things that I like to do, are spending time with my family, we go hiking every chance we get at the beautiful state park nearby, gardenning or growing houseplants. I recently picked up the liking for orchids and I discovered I can grow them quite easily. Oh and finally , TRAVEL. Nothings better than a great adventure (besides sex of of course lol).
I forgot to say skywatching.

I like to socialise with people I care for and also to listen to music/watch videos.
I also like to study various topics and to put my knowledge to use helping people.
There are heaps other things too, but that should do for now.

For me it's spending time in water and sunshine. It could be the ocean, fresh water or my pool....nothing makes me happier. Definitely solar powered, I can feel my energy rise. A few beverages and a good book help too.

Thanks DH Great Thread. I myself revert back to Nature because we are all connected to everything in nature. Watching A Sunrise and watching it sunset. Listening to birds singing and flying from tree to tree. Listening to the sound of childrens laughter. Listening to the sound of thunder. Watching lightning flash. Sitting down by the ocean and listen to waves crash along the beach. Looking at trees, and admiring their bark branches and leaves. Watching bees go from plant to plant and butterflies passing by. Watching cloud formations passing in the blue sky (except the chemtrail clouds). And at nite The Stars are my heaven, love looking at the stars and summoning ufo's. Meditation is awesome. Playing guitar soothes the soul as well. And Being on this forum is a big plus as well. Also Taking my hollistic medication once in a while works for me too, like Thunder24 stated above LoL.

Other than that - Music - Computer games, and either chasing him around the house, or giving him cuddles (my cat )
