    Hi Kriya,

Im posting this reply for Gio, as he is busy moving today. We both appreciate you posting this video of Peace Pilgrim's life and work. I have the book that her friends compiled, after she died, about her life and her wonderful peace work. I shared this with Gio last year. Her story is fantastic and extremely inspirational. It seemed tragic to me that she died in a car crash, but her life was dramatic and unusual, so I suppose her leaving of this plane would be also! I have re-read this book many times as her spiritual journey and development is such that any student on the spiritual path would benefit from her experience of the great changes she went through plus her spiritual realizations. Her great courage to set out and achieve what she did in her quest to embody peace are a tremendous monument to her. I wonder why she isnt more widely known and acknowledged for her life's work.

    Love

    Carmen

    Hi Carmen,

Thanks for your post. I agree with you about Peace Pilgrim, she was an amazing and remarkable woman and a great role model. Someone who truely was unique. It has puzzled me too as to why she is not as famous as she deserves to be. Probably because she lived a quiet an unassuming life without a media machine behind her.

    A great woman!!

    Love,

    Kriya

Nada Sanchalana (conducting the sound consciousness)
sit in siddhasana. Exhale completely. open eyes and bend head forward so it drops in a relaxed manner, but not against the chest
Bring awareness to Mooladhara and say "mooladhara' mentally.
Raise your consciousness slowly up through Arohan, as you inhale, and at each chakra mentally repeat their names. Start tilting the head back at vishuddhi and by Bindu the head should be right back, retain the breath, mentally say bindu then vocally chant OM as you take your awareness down through the spinal passage (Awarohan) back to mooladhara, at which point tilt the head forwards again.
Retain the breath at mooladhara and keep mentally repeating mooladhara.
With the inhalation rise the consciousness again to repeat the cycle
    Practice 13 rounds
Visulaise the chakras as you chant and pass them.

    April 30th

The Kumbh Mela is the biggest gathering of people in the history of humanity although few in the West have ever heard of it. More than 70 million pilgrims attend this extraordinary spiritual festival, which has been held every 12 years near Allahabad, India, for over two millennia. A vast tent city is established to accommodate the masses, and many of Indias greatest gurus and spiritual leaders set up camp to give discourses to their devotees. On certain auspicious days everyone takes a holy dip at the confluence of two actual rivers - the Ganges and Yamuna - and a mythical river, the Saraswati. On the main bathing day, more than 25 million people bathe in the sacred waters. This single act of faith is believed to cleanse the sins of a thousand lifetimes and secure release from the endless cycle of rebirth literally a short cut to the state of purest bliss nirvana.

In fact there are a few different versions of the Kumbh Mela (there are 4 venues for the main one, which cycle every 12 years) but there is usually a similar festival, e.g Ardh Kumbh Mela, i think every 4 years? ... anyway.. the point is that these festivals occur every 3-4 years in one form or another, and if you get the chance then GO! amazing amazing experience

Thank you VM and Dan and Chris,

For your contributions to this thread. I'd love to go to the Kumbha Mela, although the sheer amount of people puts me off. Dan I love Ramana Maharshi, a great realized soul!

    Much love,

Thank you for posting this beautiful message, perfectresonance. I too believe that there will be earth changes. I also hope that there will be a massive change in consciousness, but according to Sri Yukteswar, this won't happen for another 2000 years.

    Blessings to you,
