Everywhere it says the sun is calm, but just look at what it did this morning around 8:00UTC:

And drop in here to see the movie..it created a full halo CME:

    http://www.lmsal.com/solarsoft/lates...632_laslm.html

EDIT: I just found this over at spaceweather.com:

Quote FARSIDE CME: A coronal mass ejection (CME) blasted away from the farside of the sun on March 21st at 0740 UT. SOHO photographed the cloud expanding at 1550 km/s (3.5 million mph). The source of the CME is probably old sunspot AR1429, still active as it transits the farside.

GOES X-Ray Flux monitors are off-line as you can see at the links below:

    http://www.lmsal.com/solarsoft/latest_events/

    http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/rt_plots/xray_5m.html

That means there's little data out there on the past day's solar flares.... Lasco has cut their pictoframes as well.... hmmmmm.

The electrom flux has taken a leap:

    and Kiruna's Magnometer shows this:

Three new solar spots are evolving in the NE hemispher of the Earth-facing solar corona.

Hi morning song. I am X-Ray Flux illiterate. Could you explain what these findings mean to you? in laymans terms? I can see that the zigzags have "zagged" on the chart but i dont' have a clue what it means. Maybe thats the cause of my anxiety today???

    Hey starchild111....

The X-ray flux shows the amount of x-rays coming in from the sun and it's peaks are equivalent to solar flares... we are kinda on our own right now without info on what's going on up there.

The electron flux graphs tend to "go south" when the x-rays go up (that is my monitoring experience, at least). The present garph tells me that "something" has occured.

In fact, the TEC maps show high ionization occuring in the Pacific right now, which means a strong influx of charged particles into our atmosphere:

Any Magnometer monitor, like Kiruna, shows fluxes in the Earth's mag field (HAARP or natural). The present graph tells me to "hold on to what I've got" or, "EQ in arrival?".

Maybe you are sensing the mag flux... just take a few deep breaths and let it all out...it will be ok, dear friend.

GOES X-ray Flux Monitoer ent back on-line yesterday as well as SolarSoft's readings...

Just in time... we got a M! flare fron (then not numbered) sunspot 1445 in the SW hemisphere of the Earth-facing sun.

This would explain our current Electron Flux....I stilll wonder what we missed on the evening of the 22nd....

The sun has granted us a pretty calm week, but now, it's time to get back into the look-out mode: Big "old sunspot 1429" is coming back around from the far side of the sun where it has been continually letting off very large flares...over 11, in fact.

Just barely seen over the N-eastern limb, the "old sunspot 1429" made it's announcing return with a M-class show this morning (this flare should have no consequences for Earth, but just wait a few days and let's see what it can do this time around) :

You can go to the link below to see the beauty of this ejecto-loop lift-off and flare:

And just to refresh your memory of what this sunspot did last time around at the first of the month, take a look here:

We are having a bit of a proton flux continuation from yesterday, probably a slight glance from the coronal halo CME that occured Thursday as "old sunspot 1429" was moving back into an Earth-facing position.

spaceweather.com had this on their site yesterday:

Quote WHO'S AFRAID OF AN OLD SUNSPOT? Sunspot AR1429, the source of many strong flares and geomagnetic storms earlier this month, has returned, but it's no longer the behemoth it once was. After a two week transit around the backside of the sun, AR1429 has substantially decayed. All that's left is a few small dark cores scattered among some bright magnetic froth:

Even the corpse of AR1429 might still be potent, however. Just yesterday it produced a flurry of five C-class flares and sent waves of ionization rippling through the high atmosphere over Europe. Furthermore, NOAA forecasters estimate a 35% chance of M-class flares during the next 24 hours.

Some activity from this diminished active region is certainly possible, but it is unlikely to be anything like the strong storms of early March. Stay tuned for updates.

Ok, so I got this link from Stomys planet X thread, and coincidentally, yesterday I was thinking. (ya I know, you smell smoke right?LOL)- Anyway, I was wondering, is it even remotely possible that the Sun is closer to us than it used to be> Either it has moved or We (earth) have moved, or both? Its the first of April, and it just keeps getting hotter and hotter and hotter. Suppose to get up to ninety tomorrow. We are 3 to 4 months ahead temperature wise. And its not just a warm spell, or front, this started last fall, the ground didn't freeze solid, for the first time in my life. I know all about the solar cycles etc, flares and cme's but is it possible we are actually sitting closer to our star? Interesting link below. Thanks Stomy

Thanks MorningSong, can you or anyone else refresh me on which class flares they take advantage of for Chemtrails?

We get hammered here and I recall reading how they utilise these flares, they seem to have eased up over the past few days...then again the full moon's on t's way,so we'll get more no doubt.Always do.

Would this be why we've been feeling really strange over the past few weeks?(besides the Chemtrails)

Thanks, starchild111. Interesting thought. There are ideas floating around that the sun is expanding (see Astralwalker's info)...as there are theories that the Earth is expanding. Either way, the distance between the Sun and Earth would change. As to whether either is happening, I have not researched or explored data to this effect.

I have given some time to looking at what the Jet Stream is doing here on our Earth, and it appears to be very erratic this year (and I do have data which relates to solar activity at the end of January which set all of that off) which explains the extreme cold spell Europe got early February and the warm-but-windy spell we're experiencing here at the moment. Heck, we might even get another super polar spin-off through here next week bringing below-zero degrees (C). Uh, and yes, today we almost hit 30°C...... just crazy!

I did click the link you posted, but am not sure what I am supposed to be looking at... The abstract is....well...quite abstract. lol

    Hello and Welcome MacStar!

I really don't know what you mean by a "class of flares they take advantage of for Chemtrails". I'd like to learn more on this. Do you have links?

I have noticed that for the past 2 weeks, in absence of severe solar activity, there have been next to no chemtrails up this way..... until Friday...and, boy, were they checker-boarding up the sky.....all through the weekend, too...... just disgusting!

Hi and thanks for the Welcome MorningSong

    So much to remember LOL

I'm not too up on Sun Flares etc atm, but in my research on Chemtrails there was mention of them not spraying above I think a Class "C" flare,as they don't "do their job" so to speak.

I'll try to find a link.

Someone else may be able to enlighten on this in the meantime?

If a Class "M" was about,I take it that it's higher than a "C", so that would fit with the above statement as far as a break in Chemtrails.

I'm looking into Chembusting,Orgone stuff atm as it really effects us bad here...man so much going on.

See what I can dig up.

    Cheers
