In reference to the colors in the sky and clouds, I read someplace very recently how there is this researcher who has been studying the premise that prior to an earthquake the earth releases somekind of energetic plasma type of material. He has been able to predict a number of earthquakes based on this.
Has anyone else read this ?

    Hi Yiolas!

If I remember the name correctly, a certain Giuliano in Italy was studying the release of radon gas and it's relation to EQs and had forewarned the authorities of the eminent EQ in L'Aquilla. His repeated warnings were ignored and passed off as ridiculous...until the EQ hit. He got a lot of attentione after the EQ, but has been distanced from any media. As I remember, the authorities charged him with causing mass histeria.

I am sure that he was truely on to something...

Don't know if this is what you had in mind or not...

    Thanks MorningSong,
You put me on the right track. I will come back with references, but it appears that the escape of radon gas from deep inside the earth prior to earthquakes as well as local electromagnatic pulses emanating from the earth above the soon to be earthquake zone are both precursers being researched at the moment.

Maybe the combination of radon gas and localized emp's cause these strangely colored clouds.

I hope Californians are taking their precautions.

Four dead, many evacuated as floods sweep central Europe

(Reuters) - Flash floods triggered by days of heavy rain have killed at least four people, forced mass evacuations and cut off power to thousands in central Europe and weather forecasts offered no hope of respite in coming days.

    World

In southern Poland, one woman in her 60s and a 45-year-old man perished on Monday in separate incidents after being washed away by flood waters, officials and local media reported.

The Polish interior ministry said it expected to evacuate up to 2,000 people from their homes as floods submerged fields, roads and some railway lines.

A 69-year-old woman also died on Monday in the neighboring Czech Republic where hundreds had to be evacuated, including 90 from a hospital in the town of Bohumin, Czech media reported.

More than 10,000 customers of Czech CEZ were left without power after trees fell on power lines in strong winds, and five railway lines and about 50 roads were shut. Parts of southern Poland also suffered power cuts.

Congolese Volcanic Eruption, Avalanche, Kill Twelve, RNA Says

    By Brian Latham

May 17 (Bloomberg) -- A volcanic eruption and subsequent avalanche killed at least a dozen people in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Rwanda News Agency reported, citing Lutaichirwa Feller, vice governor of North Kivu Province.

At least 36 people are also missing, the Kigali-based news agency said. The avalanche followed the collapse of part of the icecap on the Mikeno volcano, on the border between Congo and Rwanda, RNA said.

The chicken coop was beneath the ice. The plastic chairs, tables, playground equipment, desks and carpet were covered by a layer of sleet and mud.

The building where pre-project works Seeds of Jesus was one of the hardest hit by the hailstorm the day before yesterday. Located in the San Carlos del Sur. Parents and students yesterday withdrew the blocks of ice that entered through the front door to two rooms.

Heavy rains with strong gales lashed coastal Andhra region as authorities began evacuation of people from low-lying areas with cyclonic storm Laila intensifying further and heading towards the sea shore. A high alert has been sounded in all nine coastal districts while rescue teams from National Disaster Response Force - have reached the areas likely to face the fury of the cyclonic storm. The storm christened Laila is likely to cross the Andhra coast Thursday morning between Visakhapatnam and Ongole, said Visakhapatnam Cyclone Warning Centre. Strong gales with speed of 65 to 70 km per hour have been lashing the region since Tuesday night, uprooting trees and damaging electricity and communication towers in some districts, officials said. Districts of Vijayanagaram, Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna and Guntur are receiving heavy rains since Wednesday morning. Some places received five to 10 cm rainfall. Nellore, Prakasam, and some parts of Rayalaseema and Telangana regions are also experiencing rains in the build-up to the cyclone in the Bay of Bengal.

At least 10 people were killed in rain-related incidents like lightning strikes and wall collapses since Tuesday night. Four farmers were also reported missing. Authorities began evacuating people from low-lying areas in all nine districts as a precautionary measure as the weather office forecast heavy to very heavy rains during the next 48 hours. The rainfall is expected to be as much as 25 cm while the gale-speed is likely to be 115-125 kmph at the time of the landfall. 'Storm surge of 1.5 to 2 metres above the astronomical tide is likely to inundate the coastal areas of Guntur, Krishna and West and East Godavari districts of Andhra Pradesh at the time of landfall,' warned the India Meteorological Department - in its bulletin. Over 10,000 people have already been evacuated in Visakhapatnam, West Godavari and Krishna districts. People living near the sea shore and the low-lying areas have been asked to move to safe places by Wednesday night. In Krishna district alone, authorities have opened 120 relief camps. In West Godavari district, 100 buses of state-owned Road Transport Corporation have been kept ready for evacuation of people. After a review of the situation here, Chief Minister K. Rosaiah asked his cabinet colleagues to rush to the coastal districts to oversee relief and rehabilitation. 'The impact of the cyclone on coastal Andhra is likely to be severe and there is an urgent need for everybody to be on high alert,' said Marri Shashidhar Reddy, member, National Disaster Management Authority.

The chief minister has asked district collectors to use helicopters, if necessary, for rescue and relief operations. Seventh warning signal was hoisted at Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Machilipatnam, Bhimunipatnam, Kalingapatnam, Nizampatnam and Vodarevu ports while fifth signal was raised at Krishnapatnam port. Andhra Pradesh has about 1,000-km-long coast line, which is vulnerable to cyclones, storms and low pressure areas over the Bay of Bengal during September-October every year. Officials said this was the first time in 20 years that the coastal region is facing a cyclonic storm during May.

In the Atacama Desert fell no rain, but a real snow!

The invasion of cold air in the rear of the cyclone decreased the thermometer readings in the mountains to negative values.

Cooling was accompanied by precipitation: on the coast of rain had fallen in the mountains of snow fell, and formed a temporary snow cover. Situated in the north of Chile, the Atacama Desert is the most arid place on the planet.

For the year here falls below 50 mm of rain. In some places its rainfall every few decades. In the area Antafagasta average annual precipitation is only 1 mm.

Some weather stations have never recorded rain.

According to some sources in the period from 1950 to 1971 in the Atacama sediments virtually absent. Interestingly, the same place, in one area, was registered by the minimum relative humidity - 0%. But in the winter months in some areas of the desert fogs are frequent.

According to the research of scientists from the UK, there are river beds that are not aware of water in the past 120,000 years. And the mountains in the Atacama have no glaciers, but there is permafrost?

i totally agree with all of you but even so there are still proper "Humans" out there with love in their hearts. We are not all the same ... ofc i am not one of those, but they deserve to be spared and i hope they will.

Ill repeat my self as this is what i truly feel.

The human beings that are born from this earth cant be all rotten and bad. We are raised to be a cancer and a rotten part of a huge killing machine but we are not born like that. Also i feel that there are many that have not gotten rotten and are truly humans and deserve the best.

p.s. I am sure Gita, Earth will do what is needed in the end.

OCEAN FLOOR RISING BY 13 FEET PER DAY IN AUSTRALIA

This is very disturbing. More and more things are happening that really shouldn’t. Is the 2012 events we are waiting for, starting already? The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has a Tsunami station in event mode activated for Station 55023 – STB Coral Sea located at 14.803 S 153.585 E (14°48’9″ S 153°35’6″ E). The tsunami station has been in event mode since the large quakes occurred in the area for several days now. This is triggered by the buoys’ anomalies of water column height above the sea floor. If you do a data search for 2010 March 20th to 2010 April 13th you get this- Over 100 meters or 328 feet less distance from buoy to sea floor in 24 days! That’s 13 feet per day since the quakes. As you will see from the waves on the line graph it matches the tide lines perfectly.

    Coral Sea tide chart

So Station buoy 55023 is still on the surface. Its not the lunar cycles, checked that as well. There also has been a very odd sea surface temperature in the same location See link CSIRO web page [link] Note the area in blue on the map on the left then see the unusually cold surface temperatures on the surface in the map on the right. Seismic activity has also offers a good insight as to what may be occurring.

Note the long time periods of S waves on this seismic station is the upward thrust of the ocean floor by 13 feet per day? Does anyone know what’s going on in this area? Is 2012 events already on it`s way?

It is also now speculated that the Indo Australian Plate is moving north-west, colliding with and subducting beneath the Eurasian Plate and this movement is allegedly causing the Indo Australian Plate to tip so that the western half of Australia will sink while the eastern seaboard will rise. However, the rate of movement of the Plate is so slow that it seems unlikely that that subduction is causing the rapid sea level rises recorded in the Coral Sea before the two NOAA buoys were taken off line, or at least their readings no longer made public.

    What`s the conclusion?

In my view and many others one theory is, that it is more likely that at least parts of Lemuria are beginning to rise with totally uncertain consequences for Australia and especially the east coast. In any event the seismic activity around Vanuatu and along the western boundary of the Pacific Ring of Fire in the southern hemisphere indicates that the east coast of Australia and especially the Queenslanc coast needs to be on alert for possible tsunamis when generated there. Anyway big changes are going on here on earth, that`s for sure.

    Major earthquake in Brazil

The earthquake occurred Monday afternoon in the mountains near the border with Peru. It informs
experts from the U.S. Geographical Survey told AFP.

Epicenter is about 127 km southeast from Cruzeiro do Sul in Brazil, and 328 km east of Pucallpa
    in Peru.

The earthquake occurred 580 km below Earth's surface.

An employee of the mayor of Cruzeiro do Sul said, according to the Washington Post that they felt
of the earthquake, and that there is no reported damage.

Yesterday Peru shaken by an earthquake, but there were no reports of damage or injuries.

The earthquake was measured as 6.0 by Peru's Geophysical Institute, and it had its center 115
kilometers below ground, about 28 km southwest of Ayacucho region.

The earthquake occurred just before midnight Sunday night, and it could also be felt in the capital

    Strong quake hits southern Japan

A strong earthquake has hit southern Japan, but there have been no immediate reports of damage and no tsunami was expected.

The Japan Meteorological Agency says the quake Wednesday had a preliminary magnitude of 6.1. It occurred off the coast of the Minamidaito island, near Okinawa, about 1,000 miles (1,600 kilometers) southwest of Tokyo. The quake's center was 6 miles (10 kilometers) below sea surface.

The agency did not issue a tsunami alert and said there was no danger of damage from waves.

Japan is one of the world's most earthquake-prone countries. In 1995, a magnitude-7.2 quake in the western port city of Kobe killed 6,400 people.

    Another volcano is stirring!!

    Quote

Volcano in Ecuador spews ash plume

A volcano spewed a 7-km-long ash plume, spreading the ash cloud in some towns near the volcano, the Ecuadorian Geophysics Institute (IG) said on Wednesday.

The eruption occurred at 6:12 a.m. local time (1112 GMT), and "the sound of the eruption was heard in the towns near the volcano, even in Banos and Guadalupe, 14 km from the volcano," the IG said.
The 5,016-meter-high Tungurahua Volcano is located 135 km south of the capital Quito. It began its eruption process in 1999.

The ash cloud travelled in south-west direction and thick ash fell at 06:31 a.m. local time (1131 GMT) in towns of Mapayacu and Manzano.
One and a half hours later the ash also fell over Guano and Riobamba.

The volcano also spewed small flows of lava at the north, northwest, west and southwest of its crater, which went down between 800 and 1,000 meters without affecting the inhabited areas, the IG said.

According to the IG, an increasing number of earthquakes were registered on May 17 in the "biggest" eruption in 2010.

"However, according to the historical behavior of the volcano, the current activity is considered low, but with increasing trend," the IG said.
