Unhappy Discouraged, taking a break from the bickering, chastising etc...

    Hi all...

I just needed to put this out there as I have been getting more and more discouraged and am finding the beginning threads of annoyance creeping in, so before that picks up momentum and I forego my Avalon Community totally I just wanted to say what is on my mind and then stop visiting for a bit.

I do not set out to offend, the facts speak for themselves... just look on almost any thread now.

Someone puts out information (in this latest case, Bills newest post on Elenin) and the thread moves from a discussion of the information to becoming the rock'em sock'em robot thread that ends up having NOTHING to do with the original post! Any information or insights that someone may post gets drowned in the mire of the ones trying to drown out what someone else may or may not have said, meant or whatever.

Whomever had posted to "take it outside" kudo's to you... keep the threads intact and not used as a platform to see who can puff up the most...

So for now, I will get my community and information elsewhere until I can read and participate without getting someone elses sand in my face.

Much Love all! (I will be back... but for now, nah.)
~a pebble in the water makes a ripple effect, every action in this world will bear a consequence... if you wade around forever you will surely drown.... ~ RJA

I very rarely come here now for similar reasons. But it may also just (partly) be the movement of life that you're feeling and an urge for something new.

    Enjoy wherever you go, though.

I agree that the forum is sometime so reactive to drama and have had my doubts if I should stay and also took a long break from the forum.

Now I tend to ignore some of the drama. I don't think its so interesting, so I move on to a thread that is.

With every group of people you have some who you like more and those who you like less. The interesting thing for me is what does it say about me. Why do I like someone and why does someone annoy me.

The Maya have a saying that you may or may not know. When meeting each other they would say: 'Hello part of myself.' That is their way of greeting someone.

There is always a certain amount of palaver, we work on eliminating it, everyone starting by checking on oneself first, we'll get there. Kudos to everyone who doesn't participate or take sides in personal arguments, which should be settled privately.

From the lovely Dao De Jing:
The supreme good is like water,
which nourishes all things without trying to.
It is content with the low places that people disdain.
Thus it is like the Tao.

In dwelling, live close to the ground.
In thinking, keep to the simple.
In conflict, be fair and generous.
In governing, don't try to control.
In work, do what you enjoy.
In family life, be completely present.

When you are content to be simply yourself
    and don't compare or compete,
    everybody will respect you.
When was a personal argument ever settled in a thread by one agreeing with the other? It always lasts until one says "whatever, I stop participating" or until one or both are sent on a vacation.
"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23

FREE ENERGY - DIRECT DEMOCRACY - SELF RESPONSIBILITY

    love - truth - beauty - trust - harmony - peace
    compassion - humility - wisdom - love - truth - unity

    nothing real can be threatened
    nothing unreal exists
the closer you get to the meaning
the sooner you know, that you're dreaming

    Hi, White Rabbit-

I understand how you feel; I felt the same way you do not too long ago. Some topics are just so sensitive to us that we tend to over-react and then it gets personal. I think we have to skip over those threads that create anger or anxiety in us and move on to others that we enjoy. Why leave here if there is even ONE thread that you could learn from or participate in? You may even find, like I have, that a member who you did not particularly agree with on issues may introduce you to something you knew nothing about and look forward to more posts from that person.

We have strong personalities here, in general. It's hard for us sometimes to temper our written words. Probably, if we were all face to face in a conversation, we would be more tactful- that's the negative side of being on a forum. We don't have direct contact with one another. For me, first I look for videos from "The One" to make me laugh. He always posts incredible videos and some are so funny. Then, if all else fails, and I am about to explode, I have my last resort- I get in touch with Lord Sid to rant and rave to. He then calms me down and I am back to the forum once again. I hope you stay because all members bring something to the table that we didn't know before we came here.

I agree with the first post. I am posting less and less and my love and light has dimmed down, I am getting impatient sometimes. From inundation of threads from some members, without any resume on the videos presented and the arguments of author that ensued, and the arguments that ensued when one or many ask to stop the flooding, to threads on how one's feel but with very little factual content - understand me, these thread can be good, but when they become a majority of the threads, they drown down the information threads and conspiracy threads. My point is, what is this forum about?

    A multiple choice question:

    What is this forum about?
    • Conspiracy theories forum
    • Feelings shared on diverse topics forum
    • Ascension forum
    • Channelled information forum
    • Information of all kinds forum
    • All of the above
If all of the above, is there a predominance?
If conspiracy theories or infomation forum, which is the ratio of informations/conspiracy and discussion on the information versus all other kinds that would alllow the forum to have a maximum drive towards its mission? 80% information, 70% information, 10%i information?

I thought it was a 'Feelings shared on diverse topics forum' which is why I joined but in the six months I've been here I've watched it change to a 'Conspiracy theories forum'. It's a sad thing. There are so many of those already and they suck. I'm wondering how long it will be until most of the threads are about Jews and Reptilian Pedophiles.

I've noticed that when people make unique threads about something personal or interesting you always see the same 10 or so people and then they sink. I don't really care what the topic is, aslong as people are sharing their own opinion and adding new information. It's getting to be a case of repeating repeating repeating.

You got it wrong to start with Anno. Many of new members may have gotten it wrong too, so do not take it personnally. If you look at the past of Avalon and before even, Avalon and Project Camelot, it was all, entirely, conspiracy organisations and forums, dedicated to wistleblowers. With a few sharing of personal stuff as well. Just look at the very old threads and posts, or at the archives, you will see. This is why I do not recognize Avalon at all, since Charles/Atticus, the last "wistleblower".

No wonder aims are different for everyone and I am getting impatient. I do not know anylonger what is this forum. If it is sharing, lets share and forget about the rest, but I would like to know if possible.

I totally agree with you OP, in fact during Bills recent thread yesterday (THE DEATH OF COMET ELENIN) someone posted something in reference to Edward Alexander which did not fit that thread EVEN SLIGHTLY . By my request, the thread was moved by one of the moderators to its proper location very expeditiously i must say. It seems the Mods. need to monitor these posts and take the appropriate action without hesitation. The members responses to the original post need to solidify the thread not liquefy them.

Honestly, what was the purpose of telling anybody that you were staying away for awhile, except to gain some sympathy and take a jab before you left? You're not the only one who's feeling the pressures of the times, my friend. We're all being affected, hence the sqabbles. This forum is not saccharin, in other words sickly sweet. Occasionally, heated debates flair up, which is healthy.... I think we're all so sick and tired of all the lies and deceit around us, that we want the truth HERE, even if it means alittle arguing. We want to be heard HERE, regardless of differing opinions. And the fun part is that comments can take any direction; and bring up thoughts and ideas that no one would have thought of, otherwise.... Sometimes, this even inspires another thread.... It's all good, White Rabbit.
Sorry, if the expectations aren't there for you, my friend....

    Hi White Rabbit.
I understand that some souls incarnate with very little tolerance for confrontation.
It pains them to participate in it and even to witness it.
I emphathise with your plight and I wish you well on your journeys.

But, there are some souls who are on the other side of the spectrum and not only want a little confrontation but thirst for it and crave it.
All souls are here to learn.
And though a life style of abstainance from confrontation may work for you, it would cause others to wither and rot on the vine so to speak.

I think Avalon does a splendid job of moderating and keeping things here some where in the middle.
I love it here, and I cannot for the life of me think there is a forum out there that provides information, responses from the community and the occasional lively debate in a better fashion.

If you want a forum where little old ladies discuss knitting patterns more power to you.
But, I'll stay where the action is.
"To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize." - Voltaire

which nourishes all things without trying to.

You know, to give White Rabbit's take a little validity, didn't the author of the Tao te Ching, Lao Tzu, didn't he forsake society because he was sickened by mankind? Didn't he go off to live out his days in the wilderness away from "the maddening crowd" so to say?
And now that I think of it, there is a modern day Lao Tzu, Henry David Thourogh, who did the very same thing.
Maybe White Rabbit will be our next great social commenter, living on the fringes of society and communing with nature.
    That doesn't sound so bad.

Me personally, I think mankind is inherantly flawed.
I think we all have a particular flaw that is inherit in our incarnation that was chosen before we were born as a sort of modulater of experience.
    A lesson.
A perverbial devil on our shoulder if you will. Always there.
Thus when I read the signature some one here has that reads "Be Kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a difficult battle, (plato)" I can think of no truer statement.
"To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize." - Voltaire

The legend is, he went for good and compiled the Dao De Jing on the way to solitude, when a soldier at the boarder asked him, to share his wisdom.

Now this was his way to deal with mankind's madness, he went away, but he also made a great contribution, he didn't just surrender. That's what it's all about. There is a 'flaw', that bears a challenge, face it in whatever way seems appropriate to you, but don't fall short by complaining or resigning.

Me and my girlfriend both feel the same way about this place now. It has been taken over by too much conspiracy theories, and the spreading of negative news everywhere. I leave the site feeling worse than when I visit. This isn't right.

Let's remind ourselves that there is NOTHING more important in life than spirituality, yet there seems to be very little spiritual type threads anymore. Something to add to my life instead of take from it. I come to PA very rarely now because of this.

That is called hijacking the thread. I post on a couple of JFK assassination boards and that happens regularly. It is unfortunate and can be discouraging. But I think you can see that many here understand where you are at and even feel the same way.

White Rabbit, I understand where you're coming from. I admire your courage in sharing your feelings of discouragement. I'm sure others here echo similar thoughts in these turbulent times.

We all need to be where we can find our courage now...wherever that takes us.

I have benefitted from your views and I thank you for your posts. I hope that we will hear from you again..as we enter new doors of awareness, the old ones do not shut behind us of their own accord. They only shut if we close them ourselves.

So be well, friend, here's to your inner strength. May it always prevail.
