    Hey dan33,

Appreciate this kind of energy. It's a reminder for me to do my best to walk in a good way
Not to abuse power. Also a reminder to cut away what I don't need and create my own way.
A good card to represent strong new beginnings and perfect for the new moon energies.

I like the artwork in the card of your original post.

Right now I'm trying to distract myself from what is going on with whitetail and remain as calm as I can for his sake and mine. He's still on heavy antibiotics. But he is strong and a fighter.

    Love

    Nora

Greetings, wonderful Villagers. My obsession of the day has been The Picture of Dorian Gray in its literary and cinematic forms.

It all started with this daily literary quote from my home page:

"Beauty is a form of genius--is higher, indeed, than genius, as it needs no explanation. It is of the great facts in the world like sunlight, or springtime, or the reflection in dark water of that silver shell we call the moon."

It jumped out at me because of what David Icke and Lisa Renee have said about the moon.

The words were spoken by Lord Henry Wotton to Dorian in The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, a darkly fascinating story about beauty, youth, ego and black magic. I wonder if Wilde had some esoteric knowledge? Might have to research that...

Interesting what Lord Henry says next: "It cannot be questioned. It has its divine right of sovereignty."

Soon after, Dorian's portrait is finished. His head filled with thoughts about the power and fleeting nature of his youthful beauty, he says:

"How sad it is! I shall grow old, and horrible, and dreadful. But this picture will remain always young... If it were only the other way! If it were I who was to be always young, and the picture that was to grow old! For that--for that--I would give everything! Yes, there is nothing in the whole world I would not give! I would give my soul for that!"

Artistic interpretations of Dorian in the beginning and the end from the 1945 movie written and directed by Albert Lewin, who chose to add the element of an Egyptian cat deity:

I smoked a spliff ... and am feeling pretty good about the whole situation

Watched some David Icke just before that -- that guy definitely knows some stuff ... Blessings to you all!

A promising meteor shower will hit its peak tonight, lighting up the late-night sky in what could be an eye-catching end to Earth Day.
NASA scientists predict the annual Lyrid meteor shower, which peaks overnight tonight (April 21) and before dawn Sunday, will offer an impressive sky show to observers with clear weather, largely due to the absent moon.
Meteor shower expert Bill Cooke of NASA told SPACE.com that the moon is currently in its new phase, when the side facing Earth is not illuminated by the sun. That means that unlike last year, when bright moonlight washed out April's annual "shooting stars" display, the 2012 Lyrid meteor shower could be a stand-out event.

It's pretty amazing to hear an auditorium sing in unison, "Hey, God!" live. Yes, I did want to have sex with Trent (having seen him live many times). There's something so beautifully powerful about male energy...

    Love

    Nora
Was simply too tired last night to get up and go outside for a look.
I guess I'm in one of those depressions from being overwhelmed with life's demands.
My current state of affairs is too complex for me, and most of it is caused by my husband's way of doing things.
He is more right brained than I so he has less need for order. He piles his plate full of stuff which in my opinion is useless, then looks to me to sort it all out for him. So I'm longing for the simplicity of my Barbados hermit life, minus the Internet problems, of course.
But I find that the more I strive for anything in particular, the more I end up with it's opposite, so I have to be careful.
Once I get into desire mode it doesn't take me long to go into obsessive mode, which is then followed by a whack from life to wake me up in with a cold bucket of water which I often find traumatizing.
Don't want to go there. Know that pattern too well.

Anyway, so I followed your link to that Daily Mail article and found it leads to other links/articles.
One of them is what Carmody was talking about last year, when he repeatedly posted about Libya's underground water reserves. Ghaddafi wanted to make this water freely available, but now the elite got him out of the way, they will be selling each liter for profit.

A Here and Now question would be why is this of concern to me at all?
I live in a watery climate and Costa Rica is not likely to turn into a dersert, even though here in Punta Leona it is still very dry as the rainy season hasn't arrived here yet. The jungle in front and behind my house is eerily quiet. The rains are holding off until Luis finished painting the roof and the paint is dry. That is how his lucky stars work for him, he being a Sagittarius.
By the way, I'm one of his lucky stars, as I work for him, too.

Anyway, back to the water underneath the Sahara desert. I feel my concern is
some symptom of an inner imbalance.
Could it mean that my own flat and dry period is about to come to an end?
But that there is a price?
In the 3D world everything has a price; one either pays upfront, or later, with interest.

When windfall money comes it is because some time ago one paid for it to happen, or it is given by spirit an excercise in handling finances.
In which case it comes with lessons attached. As I wrote that line a warbler sang a loud melody outside my front door.

It is dusty and kiln-dried, mid-way along the crooked spine of the Atlas Mountain Range. Humps of browned and barren hills spread stuporous in relentless heat. Not a breeze is stirring.

In the middle of the road I've wandered down, seven young Berber boys stand in my way, their beseeching hands reaching out to me, their eyes imploring me for something, anything.

Above them, lifted on the thermal currents, large black carrion birds lazily circle over the baking yurts these children's families call home.

They are nomads like myself, roaming through this arid land, shaggy goats and worn blankets, and now their hopeful eyes impale me.

I can almost see behind those eyes, and what I see caves in my heart.

What is seen is the one who sees, and the one who sees is the one I am. This is why I start to weep, and why it feels as if I’ll never stop.

They watch me, they weep with me, the hills are weeping, and yet – it is so quiet, so very still.

Not a noise is heard, except for the sound my tears make as they splash the hard clay at my feet – the earth that I am – and are swallowed up in the mystery I've emerged from, the very place my path is leading me, even now.

There are some mangy little mutt dogs by the roadside, their tongues drooping from listless jaws, panting, panting, panting, and the flies . . .

the omnipresent flies, thick amidst wafting aromas of cracked wheat from the threshing circle in the near distance where a woman and her donkey crush grain, just as they have always done.

There is something . . . familiar in all of this.

Somehow, within that circle, I sense that all I will ever need to understand is just about to reveal itself.

After some time, I realize that it hasn't, that it never will, and so I move on.

    There is nothing to understand.

    Good Morning Ulli,

Tonight will be another starred filled night just not as much as last night's sky was.
    It was a spectacular show.
    When I lived in Washington St. a group of us would get together different times of the year and go up to Mt. Rainer;
    find a large
fallen tree to perch ourselves on in a wooded area, and watch the meteor showers and our star friends buzz around
the night sky's. Mystical and surreal experience.

White Tail is doing much better this morning. Resting and in good spirits considering everything he has been through and the injuries to his legs. He is eating some and getting up and walking around.
Am going to visit with him today and hopefully he will be able to come home tommarrow.
The staff at the animal hospital are all really looking after him and even gave him his own personal nurse.

    Blessings to you guys

    Love

    Nora

    Hey Ulli,

Here is a video of one of the 13 Grandmothers on the Nature of Spirit and Water.
It came to mind when I read your post.

Last day or so I have taken a detor into some
shadow work some things from childhood that

group settings . All good, but this is tough
stuff and I have never bought this particular
issue to the light before so it's quite traumatic
in many ways . But also very necessary work

    Nora,

My buddy was the mining engineer at (what was then) the main tourmaline mine in Pala, the "Stewart Lithia." I had a few chances to go down in the mine, and on one occasion found and dug-out a bi-color (pink/green) tourmaline crystal out of a wall in the mine. Never mind that it was totally internally shattered full of flaws, it was still quite a thrill to me.

I used to camp out on the Pala Indian reversation property as well. Wonder if we ever (unknowingly) crossed paths. That would have been about 1977 to 1980 timeframe.

p.s. Oh geeeeezz! Ulli specifically asked for 'here and now' and I am talking about 30 years ago! Uh, well there is a small bag of semi-gem grade apatite on my desk right now. (I wanted to see if I could use it for inlay material in guitar fingerboards.)

    Hi Dennis,

I lived in the area for about 20 years possible that we crossed paths.

There are different mines in the area all of them rich in different minerals.
I think 2 of the mines are still open to the public now.
The original Stewart mine c. 1890 was mined originally for lithia
I think for trade with the Chinese.

Several of the larger hills in the region are under protection by the various
Native American Nations in the area and the Environmentalists.
The hills are home to Mtn Lions, Redtail Hawks, Golden Eagles
and various other species that are protected. Once home to the California
Condor but they are all living in captivity now. The bears in the
area are mostly gone and the last Jaguar was killed c. 1900.

    Love,

    Nora
