It's amazing how one phone call can suddenly turn your
    peaceful world upside down.

Requesting healing thoughts of calm so i can work out
how to process what has just happened,
right now I'm shaking all over.

    Thanks to all
Prayers of Love to you Astrid.

They were so worried about keeping up appearances
that they totally forgot any core teachings of the Christ
Basically for my father the church was a place he could
hide behind and express his out of control ego .
And in the church there are many many justifications
for wheeding control and abusing power,
and he found and used most of them .
Astrid.. your post gave me the perfect opening to make my first post. Like you I grew up in a family that did not practice what they preached. Very early on, I began to feel that I was different than they were. I could not embrace their bigotry nor could I see "God" as this entity one put in a box.
Left home very early and found my path through years of wandering. Now, at 55, I feel that we do pick our families for the lessons they bring us. Took me many years to get here. the point is the journey and what learning is to be gained, not an destination. I feel blessed to have been invited here and hope you will all be patient with me, I am not very techno aware. Nor am I feeling quite able to truly jump in and post a great deal yet till I get my "Avalon legs" .I prefer the garden to technology and I am outside most of the day this time of year.. Look forward to reading more before I post again. I am posting from 2, 500 up a mtn , it's a beautiful half moon which makes the front garden glow,It's late..I think I hear my pillow call. Peace be with you all

Welcome to the Here and Now Village, Tenacity.
Your name will inspire us, I can feel it already.

When I get anxious I go to an online Bahai site and just randomly plunge in to read Baha'u'llah's writings.
Just went to this page and found much that was comforting:

    http://reference.bahai.org/en/t/b/GWB/gwb-14.html

Methinks that thou hast halted and movest not upon My Tablet.
Could the brightness of the Divine Countenance have bewildered thee,
or the idle talk of the froward filled thee with grief and paralyzed thy movement?
Take heed lest anything deter thee from extolling the greatness of this Day—
the Day whereon the Finger of majesty and power hath opened the seal of the Wine of Reunion,
and called all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth.

Preferrest thou to tarry when the breeze announcing the Day of God hath already breathed over thee,
or art thou of them that are shut out as by a veil from Him?
No veil whatever have I allowed, O Lord of all names and Creator of the heavens,
to shut me from the recognition of the glories of Thy Day—
the Day which is the lamp of guidance unto the whole world,
and the sign of the Ancient of Days unto all them that dwell therein.
My silence is by reason of the veils that have blinded Thy creatures’ eyes to Thee,
and my muteness is because of the impediments that have hindered Thy people from recognizing Thy truth.

Don't worry too much about quote formatting upsetting the mods .

The forum software does not make it easy to format Quoted material in the optimum way and I routinely fix Quote formatting as I read the forum, almost without conscious effort. There was even one time where some member had directly issued a nasty insult to me, by name, and I had fixed the Quote formatting, but not noticed or moderated the insult. This confused the other mods, who figured I must have read the insult (they could see that I edited it) and chosen not to act for some obscure reason. I had not read it .. just improved its formatting. A typical Quote formatting fix takes me about 12 to 18 seconds.

Maybe the reason not to act was not quite as obscure as you make it seem, Paul.

The Charles/Atticus saga seems aeons ago, and perhaps is not worth foregoing the power that the Here and Now has to offer.
    Just a suggestion.
It did seem pretty real at the time, though.

I want to share what is my belief to be very special photos. I found two flowers growing in a Juniper tree. Although usually called Red Cedar, it is not a true Cedar belonging in the Juniperus genus instead of the Cedrus genus for true cedars. With the technical silliness out of the way let me show you. What appears to be a rising Moon is one of the pics, is just that.

Here is how they looked as I found them.

Despite there being many trees of this variety on the property I could find no other flowers. I have never seen this kind of flower on a Red Cedar before. It is very special, if only for me.

Click on them for enhanced detail.

    Spiritual Healing—Your Second Chance

I’ve learned a lot about spiritual healing, it’s a radiant blue and purple light that goes beyond disease and emotions, and people’s karma. It’s bigger than karma because it’s a form of forgiveness.

    Bolts of the Celestial Light

It is as if the digital-fractal hard drive of your soul is suddenly re-set, no matter what has gone before. Like as if, your debts and credit cards are suddenly wiped to zero.

Over the years when I saw the light and the celestial beings, I prayed for a second chance for all of us humans. I was shown three things:

    1) You have to make an act of contrition and be genuinely sorry for your sins and previous darkness. You have to look at all that darkness and be fully aware of your part in it. You have to own it not deny it.

    2) You have to be open to receive the light and to embrace a new softer future.

    3) You have to replace any current feelings of spite, hatred, anger, self-importance, ego-trips and emotional upsets and dishonesty with love—breath love at the humans each and every day.

If you embrace these ideas the second chance will be granted. Stuart Wilde

Yes they did. Perhaps I should 'clip' one of them.

What appears to be a rising Moon is one of the pics, is just that.....................
Thanks for the great pics Modwiz, I thought of how fungus grows out of some trees so did a piccy search for it, looks like it might be this............ found at http://www.gpnc.org/eastern.htm (about half way down the page, with picture similar to yours).

"Often you will find a hard brown growth on the branches that can vary in size from a grape to a walnut. This is a fungus called the Cedar-Apple Rust. [Gymnosporangium juniperi-virginianae] In spring, when the first warm rains fall, these structures sprout orange spaghetti-like fingers as they prepare to release their spores. The spores float through the air until (if they are very lucky) they land on an apple tree, where they make orange spots on the leaves and fruits. Orchard growers don't appreciate this much, but it ordinarily does little harm to the apple trees."

Hope that helps, watch your apples ;-)

    Peace,

I want to share what is my belief to be very special photos. I found two flowers growing in a Juniper tree. Although usually called Red Cedar, it is not a true Cedar belonging in the Juniperus genus instead of the Cedrus genus for true cedars. With the technical silliness out of the way let me show you. What appears to be a rising Moon is one of the pics, is just that.....................

    Ok here's the deal,
this morning i was informed that my landlords are
moving back and i have to move out.

I'm sorry for the earlier dramatics, but moving is a pretty big deal for me.
i have only just now settled after the last shift over a year ago.
I have 60 days, and i also have a study trip planned booked and paid for during
this time. And I'm still determined to go.

I am slowly piecing myself back together and seeing how this will turn out for the best,
i just have to remind myself that at times like this, we do have an advantage, well other times too.
Having faith and the understanding that all is exactly perfect, goes along way.

Tonight i started the process my making sure my bins that are due to go out tonight are
full with anything i can find that is no longer needed or useful to me.
I need to find a house and sign a lease within the next three weeks, then i will move
after i come back from my trip. So much change of late its making me dizzy.
I guess i had better get used to it being the new normal

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and blessings, its very much appreciated
