And since I've been feeling a bit rebellious like John Lennon lately...

    Here
    Now
    A tree with many branches
    all equally lustrous
wrapped in clothes of brown silk
    yet only one branch
    will bear the fruit

I've been busy fighting a virus. No flu symptoms though. No diarrhea, no vomiting, no sore throat nor bronchitis as would be the case normally. Still, the alternating shivering spells and hot sweats were no picnic. I was reminded of Ebola sufferers.
Will now stop informing myself on that crisis, knowing what such information does to me.

But instead I want to share with all the readers here one of araucaria's posts from another thread. Especially the part about the exponential learning curve, and where it can lead us. (With or without the suffering)

This reminds me of the first conversations I ever had with L. long before he and I got married. When we first met I asked him what was he doing in Barbados. He said that although he was a medical doctor by profession he had been asked by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to go to Barbados and there take care of the ambassador ...hence he was now a diplomat, actually he was the consul.
So I asked him what was his opinion on alternative health methods and he said that apple cider vinegar worked well.
He is a real doctor. Will use whatever it takes to cure a person, never mind from which hierarchy it comes. He gave me a shot last night as well as a paracetamol to reduce the fever and now I'm back to normal. But he also put the MicroMat on me, using Vitality, Immune, Detox and Lymph. Thank you Luli.

Brilliant post, Araucaria. (BTW: like they all are) I’ve copied it and will read it at least one more time.

I've been following those threads. Last evening I went to bed sad at some of the comments. One in particular, Araucaria. My heart went out to you. Also to Agape, who is a Warrior-of-Another-Kind.

More often than not, those threads make me cringe because they serve to remind me how in my personal life some conversations can quickly go off track over the stupidest things. Competition, pride, ego, misunderstandings and at times the silent treatments that stretch out the hurt and sadness. What a waste of human resource! But those threads also serve to remind me that my family is more ‘normal’ than I thought.

We’re humans being human, doing the best we can. Hopefully, we stretch that ‘best we can’ more and more.

This is why my recommendation to the masses is the proper use of astrology.
Study the signs opposite your own. See the different axis.
    Aries-Libra...study one another.
Also Taurus-Scorpio. Gemini-Sagittarius. Cancer-Capricorn. Leo-Aquarius. Virgo- Pisces. This reduces the 12 down to six, forming a hexagram.
Then, by uniting with your polarity, by embracing that which the planets compel you to leave behind, you can do that U-turn which is so necessary for real transformation.
I have (as a Capricorn) learnt and absorbed much from our resident Cancerians.

Just the simplest sun sign astrology can serve as a path towards enlightenment and transformation. And when the balance point is hit then a massive cosmic vision enters and blows your mind out of the way, leading to a true spiritual vision of oneness.
And that experience makes all those earlier struggles worthwhile.

Araucaria, heartfelt appreciation and respect for that post. I am in awe right now.

Ulli, I have also learned volumes from you. Actually my mom and M as well, all capricorns. Sometimes you show me a badly needed higher perspective when the emotions of the water sign feel like they are drowning me. I am grateful.

This photo has nothing to do with earlier posts ( I'm remembering here and now how some Cancerians might take this personal)
Just a coincidence, not a synchronicity. It made me laugh...and hopefully you, too.

    hey ho everyone

had my break, played the fool

forgot myself, tried to be normal

a year of battles, few victories

    god died, god reborn

    totally emptied, then refilled

no idea why I came back

was instructed to so here I am

    not easy for me

    prefer self banishment

    don't like swallowing my pride

I love you, I'm sorry, please forgive me

can you? should you? I don't know...

    Thank you just the same

I came across the sequel to one of my favorite little youtube bits…a lot of things made think of it, the first one is funnier, but my stepdaughter talking about she’s going GMO-free with margarine (well, there sure ain’t GMOs…or anything else even resembling food…in there) in her hand compelled me to post this:

When I first came here back in 2011 I wanted to go by my acronym but I misunderstood the registration form (not good with left-brain tasks) and put my real name where my handle should have gone. Then the next time I returned I was still on the Wade Frasier kick - and he requires posters to use their real name. Now I'm kicked out of that thread anyway, I thought I'd use my handle. For some reason, as I was entering it, this name struck me so there we are.

I've no problem with my name being used, not like one can hide on the net anyway.

The day I left, I lost my tangible perception of God. Still had the connection but I could no longer believe in my definition of God. It took a year to find a better definition - one less personal and requiring greater levels of responsibility and commitment. This one doesn't give out favors on a whim - only on merit and only in direct measure to my input. I hate growing up. I really thought miracles would sustain us (me) in the end if I had unwavering faith. Now I know better. Nothing is free. Not even God's beneficence - not once one is awake, aware, and sentient. The ignorant may be helped gratuitously but the sentient must garner their own resources. Only then can they be helped. (I should have known that, but I didn't want to grow up) (I don't like grown-ups, they are duplicitous) (but I learned there is another way to grow up)

These kinds of things would be so much easier to bear with some one to help. I hate being on my own all the time - with only my own inner council for support. I got to do something about that...maybe that's why I'm back.

    Well done Luis!

I know what you're saying, Ernie. My personal dilemma has been similar...
maybe the reason for not wanting to grow up was that "they" obliged me to respond,
which only assisted my escape into this valley further and further. Yet via the Internet I managed to breech the gap.
Gurdjieff used to say (Russian accent) "One hand wash other"
Also " the world runs by the law of reciprocal maintenance"

I got better at responding, but still ONLY when I decide.
