I wonder if you can tell me more about this:

are slowly pulled upward into the cacophony of the dysfuction most of this planet lives in. Most of worldly woe comes from being ungrounded and forgetting who we are and how blessed we are.

because I am wondering whether spiritual growth doesn't cause one to become ungrounded as well. If this is the case, then it is not always being slowly pulled upward into that cacophony, but also towards more spiritual pursuits? I don't know, just wondering.

I find your questioning somewhat circular to me, but I will endeavor to answer.

Spiritual growth does not cause one to become ungrounded, usually. Too much spirituality can. Spiritual growth will precede from healthy roots, (grounded) and grow upward. Feet on the ground and head in the clouds is what I call being "large". A giant, of sorts. The big view is yours, all while having your feet on solid ground. Lofty thoughts are grounded in the reality of your creaturehood. The DNA of the body is enhanced and new possibilities arise.

Spiritual pursuits can lead to extreme ungrounding if one leaves the ground. Some people believe in angels, yet are never on time and have trouble with appointments because their spiritual preoccupation makes them believe such earthly orderliness is the province of 3-Ders who do not commune with the angels, or fairies or other non-corporeal entities. The New Age is full of such sorts. There are New Age leaders who believe in JP Morgan more than of what they profess and charge for. There is a spiritual sucker born every minute and PT Barnum has inspired many who fill the upper echelons of the spiritual movements.

The bottom line is the understanding and balance of the Elements. It is the basis of all Alchemy. The personal being the most important because it is the doorway to the other pursuits. The cacophony is the result of disempowered and basically ignorant adults shaping the lens of infants and the young. Many people will go to their graves with the emotional understanding and traumas of a 9 year old. I know very few true adults. You run into more than the general population in places like PA. One candle is very bright in the darkness too.

Jesus said "Judge not, lest you be judged". Sounds very balanced to me. Only hypocrites fear honest judgement and his admonition was particularly directed at the many finger pointers of righteousness that surrounded him. He was cautioning them and not issuing a prohibition on discernment and forming an opinion from what is gleaned. Many use the "judgement" or "judgemental" phrase as a shield or barrier to hide behind when seen correctly.

Pardon the tangents. My thoughts tend to come in packages. LOL

mw, I'm sorry my further questions feel circular, but what you added makes perfect sense to me now and I think I understand better.

That explains it. I have glimpsed spiritual growth that does not put my head in the clouds, and then there are times when I'm "upgraded" and there is such an infusion of...I don't know what it is...and it is so fast that it can take days to settle back in.

Can music be grounding also? It is either grounding or it just plain makes me feel better to fiddle around on the piano or guitar or hubby's bass...or sing. Last night, I pulled a Risky Business while doing dishes, and I felt so much better afterwards. Felt more connected to the Here and Now, felt more settled somehow, and, of course, the dishes were done before I realized it....Win-win-win

I'm reaching out for help....again. I hate doing this. I have to be pretty desperate to ask for help...as so many of you all do, too. I just spoke with Mike about the Boss/job/our future. Honestly, he is in a place of despair. Coincidentally, or not so coincidentally, everybody around here, including Mike, is not feeling well physically.

Apparently, the letter of intent - or offer to buy Boss' company - has not been well received. We knew this might happen, but I think in the back of Mike's mind he was hoping this would be the option that materialized. If this option materialized, according to Mike, he/we would be able to retire at some point. The Build-It (building a new company from scratch) would not afford any retirement options, and taking the Indiana job would not either. We used to have a nest egg, but it is now exhausted...taking care of people...as is the right and really only use for money if you ask me. But, I understand his fear that he will be "working for the man" for the rest of his years, and that 30 or 40 years of work will be "for nothing."

This thinking is disturbing to someone who has faith that everything will be okay and that we will be taken care of. The life we have shared has shown that "taken care of" may mean that we sleep in the car. Of course, I guess that is in the realm of possibility, but not probable. He has not ever chosen medication to treat his bipolar disorder, mostly because he denies having it. However, every family member - siblings, children, you name it - has been diagnosed. I mention this because when I say despair, I really do mean despair and I say so sheepishly but in all seriousness.

At this point, he wants to take a job with the Indiana company, and forget building anything. I support him wholeheartedly, but I do not think our separate living arrangement would change So, this makes things a little more complicated even as it gets him away from his Boss the quickest (which is his desire).

Anyone who has a little to share, would you send a booster our way?

This post is not addressing you, Astrid, but just expressing my thoughts about photoshop and it's various applications

Creating myth or mythical creatures with the idea of inspiring everyone
and thus prompting them to search for proof of such in the worlds beyond ordinary perception
is something quite wonderful.

Very distinct from deception, which has the aim to confuse and misdirect.

Thanks for bringing this "owl" to our attention, Astrid,
especially at this time where the current Pluto Uranus square has opened inter-dimensional flood gates
which allow a whole host of deceivers to rush into our 3d existence and mess with people's minds.

The give-away is that the green feathers on the belly become yellow halfway through, and instead of seeing each feather distinctly there are many blurs.
I would say flush it out, Pickle, or you are left with no space in your reality for the true gems you might find.

This post is not addressing Astrid, either, but rather the Vedic astrologer quoted here.
I know he is talking about the constellations here, as they were over two thousand years ago.

Trying to resurrect astrology to a place where it can get a proper foothold,
after having been bashed for the last two hundred years with the label of pseudo science
becomes so much harder when these ancient practices are blended into the mix.

Anyone beginning to learn astrology would go:
Hey! This cannot be!

Uranus in Pisces? Pluto in Sagittarius?
When we just learnt that it was Pluto's entrance into Capricorn in 2008
which caused the huge decline into poverty and loss of houses.
Saturn in Virgo?
Besieged?
When they are still 27 degrees apart?

In my view the least thing astrologers all over the world can do in order to get better at interpretations
is to agree on a single system with regards to where signs begin and end.

Most people know by now that Sagittarius is associated with religion, philosophy and higher leaning,
yet Capricorn rules the financial and material world.

So how is a beginner then to reconcile what happened in September of 2008 when Pluto according to Vedic astrology was still in Sagittarius?

Furthermore, Vedic astrology never even knew about Uranus, Neptune nor Pluto.

It is true, however, that there will be a T-square formed by Mars, Uranus and Pluto coming up in July.
Very, very tricky period, indeed, and far more volatile than December 2012.
