I’m truly moved by Italians singing through their quarantine. So beautiful it’s made me shed happy tears, laughing with relief.
This is not to undermine the grief or concern that many of us are feeling, which is warranted. Just honouring the triumph of the human spirit over oppression. Whether that oppression is from government, disease, or any other source.
This is a spirited one (a montage) :

And the first part of this is one of the first I found :
“People across Italy have been singing from their balconies in an effort to keep up morale as the country faces the worst coronavirus outbreak outside China. Italy’s 60 million citizens were placed under lockdown to halt the spread of a virus that has so far claimed over 1,000 lives in the country”
Whether intended or not, it’s as if they are holding space for love within the collective.
Feeling love for the Italians right now - also great respect for all the medical professionals around the world who are under pressure from both authorities and populations.
Wishing strength to all

Millions of people leaned out of their windows or stepped out onto the streets tonight in the UK, to applaud and cheer for the NHS (National Health Service) workers.
It was pretty loud on my street. So much love
I'm not crying again. Just been chopping onions. Honestly.
Millions of Britons step out to clap for NHS staff on coronavirus frontlines :
