Last Friday night, I was in one of those moods (the killer one) and my daughter came home in the same mood. By dinner time, it was obvious that fight would start. Feeling this, I wondered at fast speed what I wanted. I wanted the fume to get out without harm. I asked her how she felt, she said bitchy. Then I said, ok, lets have a bitching contest. Which can bitch the best and the loudest.

We start with her school, me with my work. So we started, being very upsetting and really at one point, clearly exagerating, both of us. Then we took her father, then me, then her, then her boyfriend, it was so obvioulsy exagerated that we started to laugh and making jokes, yet the fume was out. No damages. Warning: this technic only works with hot latin blood people
I would have LOVED to be a fly on the wall for this conversation.

I found this exact idea as flash laid it out, in one of my spiritual training books. The only difference was the exercise had you bitching at your TV about everything that sucks in your day - and the goal was to exaggerate it so by the time you are done you just feel sort of silly but better because you got all the crap out. It really does work!

    OK, Bombay babies.

This is Martha. She is under the bed. She is tiny, fluffy, extremely cuddly. My nose and chin are raw, because she greets me with her raspy tongue. When she falls asleep on my ribs, she slides down to my tummy after awhile, and sleeps with all four paws in the air lol. Hilarious.

Pippin is lean, muscular, and very focused. He is on top of the bed. He has the classic shiny Bombay fur. He leaps around. He was sort of stand offish at first, and then we started foisting ourselves on him, demanding cuddles. It was all he needed, a little encouragement.

They get along so well. Magic. We have the morning rampage before breakfast, and the evening rampage, before and after dinner. They hang out on the deck mostly...

Pippin likes to walk all over the keyboard...

FYI Village. Jenci PM'd me and corrected a misapprehension and proliferation of a false assumption on my part. I asked if she'd like me to correct the information on the Village thread and she said yes. Jenci sez, "I am not a Buddhist, never claimed to be or even studied it."

    That's all folks.

It's a grey and rainy day, here today. I woke up very early. Was it 6 am? Checked up on Avalon. Did some laundry. Ate some cereals, not my favorite (why am I eating this stuff?). My husband left for work. Cleaned the dishes. Did more laundry. Made some coffee and ate half a croissant while watching a recorded episode of "House Hunters International" and then the first of the season of "Fringe" (I'm so happy its back!). Did more laundry. Checked a few times the threads on Avalon. Folded the dried clothes (I dislike doing that). I LOVE being alone. I enjoy the peace and quiet of rainy days. It feels so calm and relaxed. There is much more space to breathe. Wishing all a nice Sunday!

P.S. Sierra, luv those two cats! So cute.

Here and now I'm feeling a lot of love for Ulli and all Villagers. I adore your Bombays, Sierra. I'm sorry people are feeling slighted and upset.

Flash, like you, I'm only just now understanding how this thread is about the experience of owning oneself within a supportive group. Unity in diversity.

Yes, there needs to be mutual respect.

I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.

As I see it, there are negative forces that promote division. The Village is way too cool to fall for that bullsh|t.

Ulli, thanks for starting this thread. Looking forward to sharing our paths for a long time to come.

    Love,
    Heather

Here and now I'm feeling the energy that is restoring the community that this thread represents. Without this contrast it is easy to forget the value of those things which we come to take for granted. Well done everyone.

    Lisab,

    About PowWow Highway
Pow Wow Highway ( Movie ) The road movie gets a smart update with this seriocomic tale of two Cheyenne men traveling from their reservation in Montana to New Mexico. For one of them, Buddy Red Bow (A Martinez), a quick-tempered activist, the journey is a practical one; his sister has been arrested and he is the only family member who can help her out. Buddy has no transportation, so he's forced to ride with Philbert Bono (Gary Farmer), a phlegmatic hulk of a man who is using his 1964 Buick as a vehicle for a spiritual journey of his own. Philbert's easygoing ways and insistence on frequent stops to meditate prove irritating at first to Buddy, but the men reach an accommodation as the trip wears on. Buddy comes to see that blaming the white man and what he sees as system rigged against Native Americans is distracting him from his true mission: to better understand himself and his place in the world

Mods, I need a little help, having trouble imbedding video.

Mike and Little One returned to the city. My girls are in their rooms enjoying their peace, which gives me peace Thinking about starting another blanket, it has been a long enough break from crochet. Today I made chili, which means two pots since my girls like "kid chili" - yuck...there's nothing good in that...no green peppers or onions or beans. Since the temperature is dropping, it is now 58F. It is pouring down rain, and the wind has gone from a light breeze to whooshing. I'm loving it. Energies around me have left me a bit on edge and tired, would like to take a nap. Of course, energies around me also make sleep an improbability right now.

Looking forward to Monday morning moreso than usual. I miss my routine of sitting outside in the morning and talking to my Angels and expressing my gratitude while drinking coffee. And when they are safely tucked at school, I can do some energy work. What a misnomer, as it doesn't feel like work at all, I think it is quite fun.

    Much Love,
Life is a road we don't travel alone. But everyone's on their own journey home.

Mods, I need a little help, have trouble imbedding video.

    Love

You did it right Nora, must be a Vimeo issue that it doesn't post the actual video rather than the link. Thank you! I was really wanting to see this!

And thank you too LisaB. It is so good to see you here again.

Nora and Sierra THANKYOU! unfortunately it's giving me a message won't play on this device. I had money to buy a laptop and then would you believe it my fridge/freezer has broken (the move to my new place probably killed it). Is nothing built to last anymore? 9eagle mentioned this movie before and I've wanted to watch it ever since. I heard a rumour though that a DVD player can be tweaked to play imports. Il have to call one of my nerd friends!

    Much Love,
Once, I ruined a hand loomed rainbow colored mohair throw rug (full size couch throwover). It's not like that you get to do that everyday.
