This is because the claim has already been filed with the givens shipping concern, and the shipping concern is paying the original shipper for the lost product. I ordered two books online a while back, and two weeks past the delivery date I still had not received them. Grrr. So, I called the place and they gave me a refund. Another week passed and I had forgotten the whole thing, and lo and behold the books show up. I have had it on my mind to call the place and have the charge reinstated, as that is the right thing to do. Every time I thought about it, though, I wasn't by the phone. So, this morning, I decided before I do anything else, I'm calling.
They told me they will not be charging me for these items, and that I can keep them or donate them or whatever.
Hahahahahaha.
