Snow here, too. Nor’easter with 1-1.5 feet (30-45 cm) of snow predicted. I’ve lost count of how many times I shoveled to stay ahead of it. It's the wet, heavy kind.

The latest batch of untouched bird seed quickly gets covered. It tells me the hawks are around. Stealthily, they hide in the pine trees in wait for an opportune moment to feast. Some brave little warrior birds scoot in and their friends join them. Then comes the explosion of helter skelter. I have to remind myself not to be angry at the birds of prey.

Lots of competition with chatty blue jays and mourning doves. The red really pops for the Cardinals that wear neo-sign color garb. They're extra fidgety today.

A conundrum with my latest shovel. A hand full of strange foot prints perhaps from an extra large cat on my deck, but none leading up the stairs or in the surrounding snow that's two floors below.

Stranded in the warmth and comfort of my beautiful home (more beautiful today than usual, it is warm), looking at my car on the street which appears as a huge big bowl of ice cream (no car sticking out of it), piles of snow on each side of the street, people shoveling (which will be my willingless duty in a few hours), and work place closed (yahooooo!)

I have now to call for appointments to be cancelled

Highways pile up (one near my home, got home yesterday just just just before the pile up) - no death up to now, just stranded people.

Interesting statistics Paul! Have any thoughts what caused the sudden popularity? Robert David Steele has been using it recently but I don`t know if somebody else popularized it earlier.

People are looking more into their own shadows than ever, both on a collective and individual level. The societal "sleep state" enables the governmental "deep state", but know people are waking up.

Professor of the Deep State
