A new year eve real life comedy:

I going to have late dinner with my brothers and my sister, first time together for a holiday after my mom’s passing. This is a potluck and ii am in charge of the turkey and soup. Prepare everything, wonderful smel, put it in my car, minus 30 centigrade again minus 22 fareinheit. And my car wont start

Call my brother to cancel , try CAA, s message tells me that they only take life and death calls

My brother calls back and tell me to take a cab they will sll pay together. Call a cab, take the turkey out of my car, put it on the balcony stairs.

It is cold and icy. The turkey container slips down the stairs, the turkey is on the snow fuming. I go insifde to get spatula to pick it up, start picking up.

My neighbour dogs gets out run towards me and pitch himself in the turkey he starts eating happy. I am now in the cab., we may order pizza.

Told the story to the cab driver, he is laughing

Something strange is happening in my head. Till 2 month. Like I heard a sound - but not with ears. Is it difficult to call it flow? Even the spinning washing machine has a different sound as always. I hope I'm not a stupid hihihihi. I can not meditate - just learning it. I do it my way. Recently I have been directing my thoughts. I have the impression that I have little time. And that's all there is to know. Listening music. I think we live in comfortable times. It gives a lot of joy. But still, I have the impression that I am sitting in a cage. I decided to break free. Nor'easter with snow 12-14+ inches/30-35 cm. Wind gusts over 50-55 mph. Whatever I shovel is covered in no time. As added protection, I covered the bird feeder ladder with taupe and secured them (ladder and taupe) down with bungee ropes. I’m keeping a close watch on it. With these winds, it could blow away like an umbrella and knock out a power line that’s a foot or so away.

Intuition screeches, bring ladder inside tout suite! Going going gone......................

Even the typical ground eaters have taken to the feeders on the deck. Ninja red squirrel has dibs on the closest one to the stairs for a quick get away. Yesterday, I left him red grapes cut in quarters. He gutted out the inside and stashed the skins either in the left over snow on the deck or disappeared under the bushes to hide his wares. Ninja squirrel also a big fan of walnuts and almonds.

If you happen by in the next 10 minutes or so, I’m watching Liv Cam and sending out good vibes. Not much action at the moment but relaxing sounds. If the power goes out, then I'll see you on the flip side.

In a rarely seen occurrence, video released on Monday (January 8) showed alligators trying to stay alive in a frozen North Carolina pond by sticking their snouts through the ice.

Footage taken by an NBC affiliate station showed a handful of the cold-blooded reptiles at the Shallotte River Swamp Park in Ocean Isle Beach breathing through the gaps created with their snouts in a pond frozen by a brutal cold spell ravaging the U.S.

The reptiles cannot generate their own body heat. Experts say once the alligators are able to breath through the ice, they fall into a state of hibernation known as brumation by lowering their body temperatures and metabolism. Once it becomes warm and the ice melts, the creatures will thermoregulate their body temperatures to their regular state.

Bone-chilling arctic air has created dangerous conditions for a large portion of the U.S. and has resulted in at least 18 deaths since the beginning of the new year, including four in North Carolina traffic accidents and three in Texas.
