Not that I know of Flasky ... just, the word has a particular..... vibe or flavor about it.. for me, mystical is probably the closest I could come to describing the feeling it evokes. Pretty appropriate I guess.

Yeah I can agree to that. Avalon makes me think of something...medieval - when there was magic and dragons and castles...but magical, lots of magical things.

So, I guess it is really fitting that you and us all, shall be here!

....I'm missing Ulli and Carmen and Marianne and Purplelama and everyone else around here lol...Just a random thought.

Big hugs to all! Gnaaaa...its almost 5 pm and I got to start thinking what to do for dinner...Gnaaaah!

Yeh we are a bit out of sync timewise downunder, I check in to the village in the morning and all sorts of stuff has gone on.... often involving Tony... does he ever sleep!
Hmmm ... dinner... I find cooking or preparing food for 1 a bit of a challenge sometimes... c'est la vie.

I just love looking at your single-eyed purple smiley. Anyway, you have a cat that looks exactly like my two cats, and even has ChewChew Bear's big belly. And we also have that identical electric blanket which the cats love during the colder months. Except it always gets a bit too hot, even on the lowest setting.

...I want to run my own beauty relaxing and spiritual center. Here you can come soak in healthy minerals mud baths, swim in the natural thermal rock spas, choose to have a nurturing treatment for your skin such as facials, masks, peels --- all possible thanks to the ORGANIC TROPICAL FRUITS around and (getting really into it atm) and with my 'mad genius' I will create all sorts of fresh healthy products for beauty and relaxing purposes with fruits and earth minerals.

NO NEED FOR YUCKY CHEMICALS! OR ANIMAL TESTING!

....Or if you would like a massage, come on in! But requirements are you must use one of our cleansing rock spas before commencing....

....OR YET! There is a peaceful garden where you may enjoy some meditating, while a gentle creek follows the hilly, soft and round, surface of the garden...

Yes...yes....That would be my contribution to the village! More than happy to have people working with me because I am getting the feeling my hands are going to get a bit tired...!

    ....... Hm, love it.

Every village needs at least two spas. Competition is healthy, but even more so because that way the masseurs of each one can have someone give them a massage.

I was just musing today, that knew a girl in my teens named Avalon, I surfed a lot at a beach in Sydney called Avalon, used to visit a friend who lived in an old stately house called Avalon, and now I'm here.... just sayin'

And my favorite music album is called Avalon (Roxy Music) and when I met Bryan Ferry who wrote most of the songs and asked him 'when will you make another album like Avalon' he replied, 'you tell me...you are the astrologer'.
So my answer should have been "ok, if you don't want to write another Avalon, then I will." and here I am.

While walking some property a particular friend of mine is in the process of acquiring, lotusblossom and I were trailing about 50 meters/yards behind everyone else, a mist came out of the ground and passed before us and went back into the ground. This was not quite 24 hrs ago.

Is it the one stretched on the door mat that looks like yours, ulli? That's Wild Thing, which in kitty baby talk has devolved into something sounding suspiciously like Wotan.
The above post is either satire or parody.

It is 10:15 AM and I will be going to lunch, in our dining hall, at 11:15. I have never been to a breakfast here. That is served at 7:00 AM and, as a creature of the night, am usually sleeping very peacefully at that hour. My dharma day begins at 12:15 when my first appointment is open. I give the Wellness Center 8 hours a day five days a week. They rarely are able to give me 8 appointments in a day. Sometimes on a Saturday they will. I am happy with this flow. A full day everyday would cripple me and put me on the disabled list. Slow and steady allows me to go for the long haul. That being towards the days when my last breaths are nearing.

It is a sunny day but cool, still in the fifties and staying around sixty for the midday. The birds outside my tent sing their varied calls and speak to my soul. Every cell of my being smiles from these sounds. The night insects fade in the colder nights and they will soon cease and not be heard again until next summer. I am glad I made a 2 hour recording one night to be able to call forth their choruses when the need arises.

One day, I will find my way closer to the Equator and stay there. Although, Gaia may move that line at some point. We will all surely know if she does.

    On with my day.

Gaia is moving the line, all the time. Thing to remember is that she is a slow mover, compared to us.

Unless, of course, someone upsets her with a hot iron poker...as in underground nuclear tests.
And even then, she gives fair warning.

Ulli, does or will the village have a New Orleans style Bourbon Street? If so, may I humbly submit the following for your consideration:

I am playing hookey from work this afternoon. The lack of sleep is finally getting to me. Not that I'm physically tired, but just can't focus. I need to take my own advice and get a bedtime ritual going. >sigh<
The deck view is golden. Today is high 80's, tomorrow brings a cold front and rain later.
    Love to all.

You too huh Marianne? I actually had my first sound nights sleep in a week last night...aaaaah! One has to have ones beauty sleep........ didn't work for me but I sure feel better

Ulli: I googled up Osiri Valley... WOW! It looks stunningly beautiful! What altitude is it at?

PurpleLama: Cool cats! I only ever had one cat that turned up as a tiny stray one day. I think she was feral. I had just built a shack to live in and many rats had moved in. First night she was there I awoke in the morning to find her wrestling a rat nearly as big as her! She used to come for a pat and I never knew if she was going to be all smoochy or just bite me . She had my 2 big dogs wired. I always loved her very spirited ways. One day about a year later, she just moved on.
On another note, your altar, from the video you posted way back is amazing!
Very cool mist experience that you had too.

Ulli: I googled up Osiri Valley... WOW! It looks stunningly beautiful! What altitude is it at?
That is the Orosi Valley, or in Spanish Valle de Orosi.
    Orosi means Gold.yes
The rivers here have pyrite in them which had early settlers believe they had finally found gold.
The valley is at 1100 m altitude, and the mountains around us go as high as 1800 m. With each 100 m the temperature drops another degree Celsius, so at nights it is quite cool, especially during the coming 5 months. A cold spell in Texas can be felt all the way to Central America.
But it never drops lower than 12 degrees, although none of the homes have central heating and for me that can be too cold. When I first moved here from Barbados I suffered more from being chilly than at any other time in my life.

Time to pick jobs is it? …O.K.
We are on the coast right? I’ll run the marina and any pleasure boating aspects for our village. Sport fishing is encouraged and I’ll do my best to put you on the fish or a stunning vantage of the coastlines charms as seen from the sea. If we choose we’ll play those shiny multi-hued warriors and then salute them as they swim off feeling privileged to have shared a brief connection with their instinct and spirit. We can then head back in for some Rum concoction and tell stories of our time tied to the biggest fish ever (at least for that day!)… Or show pictures of the stunning Island coastline.

    So......
In the now and here, the Amish have mostly brought down all their fields. All but their buggy horses are off major duty till the spring. Canadian geese are filling my warm spring feed pond out back for their winter vacation. It is pretty much a giant Jacuzzi pond for them. The spring feed keeps it mostly ice free for all but a string of the coldest zero degree nights. An unusual number of Albino Canadian Geese have shown up for the season this year. They will soon number about 2000 and even now I can hear them clamor as they do all night. If the winter is as cold as forecasted perhaps the snow geese will come in February for a visit on their trek back north as well. Oh, what a symphony 3000 Geese can make in two variety harmony. If the cold prevails as such, the Amish may bring out a carriage sled or two for a go on the streets. I love to watch the horses run in the snow with great puffs of steam around their eager heads as they go. Well, the trees have only just turned yellow, red and orange this week and the first snowflakes are waiting for their time to fly.

And I’m off to my slippers, some tea and then shortly to bed.

Sweet dreams Village of Avalon… I’ll be fishing just off our coast tonight…

    Peace,
