Update 22/10 – 14:59 UTC: Joke Volta, the El Hierro resident reporting to Earthquake-Report.com, just returned from a visit to La Restinga (she lives in El Pinar) were she talked to the local fishermen. The fishermen told her that they have seen the Las Calmas Jacuzzi working again during the nightly hours (Puerto Naos longitude).

Update 22/10 – 15:26 UTC: The Ramon Margalef will arrive tomorrow at El Hierro. The exact calender is not known at the moment, but everyone hopes that the ROV cameras will finally resolve all hanging questions about the eruption.

The research vessel "Ramon Margalef" will arrive Sunday morning at El Hierro to sample and analyze the seabed in order to resolve "all questions" raised by scientists and help manage the crisis arising from the submarine volcanic eruption.

That is how it was regarded today in remarks to journalists by José Ignacio Díaz, the captain of "Ramon Margalef", the new ship of the Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO) and Demetrio de Armas, vice president of Oceanography Centre at its headquarters in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands.
