Although it feels like the British have lost there fight sometimes, people put up with so much now, but never dare to step out of line to say whats right.
People would rather fit into the fold and keep there heads down.
What would our ancestors say, our ancestors who would fight adversity with every breath in there body, who would no more except a "hidden dictatorship" than a visible tyrant.
My Danish and Celtic ancestors would be proud of me for not excepting everything i hear, and for fighting and being active in the real truth of life.

Good thread. Just some background on Keith Olbermann and his gig on Current TV.....

Current TV is a cable network owned by Al Gore and another businessman. Comcast has an interest in it as well. It is not what we would think of as typical MSM, but it has a core group of listeners that enjoy it. Keith Olbermann parted ways with MSNBC (that is MSM) and was hired by Current TV with his stipulation that he would be the executive director with virtually no oversight of his commentary. They did ask him to move "towards the middle" with his tone, but he refused.
The other stipulation was that his salary could not be reduced- currently in the area of $10,000,000.00 per year (plus some additional "perks").

So when I hear the Keith Olbermann's, Michael Moore's (worth multiple millions of dollars and living high in a huge N.Y.C. condominium), Rush Limbaugh (earning $54,000,000.00 per year), Bill O'Reilly (earning $10,000,000.00 per year plus book royalties and an enormous amount of income from his "Bold Fresh Tour") and know where they're really coming from, I take what all of them say with a grain of salt. They cater to their listeners, who are sharply defined by their political views. They do not "practice what they preach". Every one of them, on both the right and left, live lifestyles that the average American can only dream about.

Keith Olbermann is part of the system here in the U.S. He is the other side of FOX News. MSNBC is the other side of FOX News. Not one of the familiar faces on any of these shows would give up their way of life. When these talking heads give these emotional monologues to their listeners, they NEVER apply their rhetoric to themselves. Some of them have been called out on this issue and their response is always a little chuckle. My point here is, we should not be deluded into thinking these T.V. personalities, and that's all they are, live by their words. It's all for viewer consumption.
