Negativity does not exist - never has, and never will.
There is only positivity!
This is if we are defining negative as untrue, and positivity as true.

To put it another way, there is reality and there is a mistaken reality.
To put it another way, there is reality which is covered by concepts of that reality. It is these concepts(fixed ideas) that keep us confused..

Deep within us all is a longing to be united with positive-absolute-universal-real-happiness.
This is something that we know exists.
We know we are positive-absolute-universal-real-happiness. We know it!
But at this moment, we only get glimpses of it - sometimes longer, sometimes shorter.
We all know this, and no one can ever disagree with it.

So what are we talking about? We are talking about realising it, in actuality at every moment.
For ever.
To do this, we have to deal with the negative - our negativity. Not someone else's negativity.

Please do not say, “Oh, I have no negativity!” or I'll come round to your house in the dark of night and hit you over the head with a rather large sticky doughnut! (I often wondered what astral travel was for...)

If you were happy now, you would not be looking for happiness.
In the looking for happiness you miss that you are already happy.
So, in thinking that you are not happy now, you suffer.
The cause of this suffering is not realising that you are happy, now!

Why are we seemingly going round in circles? We are mistaking the play of karma (and you must surely be sick of the word karma by now!).
Whether we are happy or not, karma is going to throw a lot of stuff our way...hooray!

Karma is merely that set of fixed concepts about ourselves and the universe that we hold on to. They are the filter through which we see ourselves and everything. So our karma creates the world we live in.
Karma is just cause and effect. Unfortunately, it creates huge grooves in our neuro pathways, like deep tram lines, which hold us in a partial world.
Karma is not fate: it can be changed.

How do we get away from karma?
There are several ways...one is through gradual understanding and practice, and another is to jump the tracks!

There are two aspect to approaching karma - wisdom and method.
Wisdom is knowing your true nature. This will be theoretical at first, but gradually this turns from information to experiential knowledge.
Method is using techniques.

Let's see karma at work....now. You are sitting in front of a screen and keyboard. You are sitting there because of your past actions. This moment is karmically produced.
Now we come to your mental reaction to what is being said. Every reaction that occurs in your mind at this moment is also a product of the past!
Just noticing your reaction this does not produce karma.

So, do not be upset at your thoughts and reaction, or even feel guilty, as they are merely products of the past.
If you react, the groove gets deeper.
If you do not react...no karma is produced.
You have just reduced your karmic future!!!Hooray!!! We should welcome these opportunities.

Now you have a new space to work in - a bigger space, a more creative space – without limits. Hooray!!!
So now your responses will be hopefully more beneficial to the situation....a new you!!
Hooray!!!!
Gradually, this empty space will expand to infinity = enlightenment!
Hooray!!!
This empty, infinite space, which is your true nature, is totally positive and anything can arise in it - even negativity...it is now no big deal.
Hooray!!!

When this is realised, there will be no need to be hit over the head with an over-sized sticky doughnut...

You are right negativity is a judgment.
What I meant by positivity was what is real, it just is.
Negativity is an opinion about the real, it's not quite it.

You are right about there are seeming opposites,
like relative truth and ultimate truth,
which are in fact a unity, the true nature of the relative,
is the ultimate. The expression of the ultimate is the relative.
So as you say, that is the balance of the middle way.

Trapped in the mind. Repeating old "stuff" like a stuck record. Over and over again.

You are not close...you are spot on!
Love is always there, but it is masked by fear and hope when it relates to ourselves, when we have a aversion or desire to or for something. There is conditional love and unconditional love, and we seem to occilate between the two.

It's all a process of refining.
