How much does a hospital rip you off... Eye opening...
. Just got this in my email...
Follow the links on this one...
Why is it that no one is talking about the fact that many hospitals charge three or four times their cost, and make a big profit off of you? And, if you're not insured, they charge you more, sometimes as much as ten times more than an insurance company whose patient has the exact same treatment!
Go to and look up your hospital's charges compared to Johns Hopkins, which is considered to be the finest in America. They also provide solutions for not getting ripped off.
Did you know that our health care system is THE leading cause of death? Most would say heart disease is #1. Iatrogenesis (death by doctors) includes hospital errors, hospital-acquired infections, adverse drug reactions, nursing homes, and are just some that contribute to the real leading cause of death. See for more.
For an extensive 6-part article on our "health care system," see
So now, our gov. is going to fix our boo-boo? Right! They are Now, our biggest boo-boo!
In the last 100 years, we've lost about 80% of the nutritional value in our soil, and about 50% of the oxygen content in the air we breath, necessitating nutritional supplementation. Now, McCain has filed a new bill that will seriously affect our access to supplements.
This information should be spread far and wide, especially to our legislators who helped create this mess since 1913.

Iatrogenesis

Ancient Greek painting in a vase, showing a physician (iatros) ' bleeding ' a patient.
The terms iatrogenesis and iatrogenic artifact refer to inadvertent adverse effects or complications caused by or resulting from medical treatment or advice. In addition to harmful consequences of actions by physicians, iatrogenesis can also refer to actions by other healthcare professionals, such as psychologists, therapists, pharmacists, nurses, dentists, and others. Iatrogenesis is not restricted to conventional medicine and can also result from complementary and alternative medicine treatments.
Some iatrogenic artifacts are clearly defined and easily recognized, such as a complication following a surgical procedure. Some are less obvious and can require significant investigation to identify, such as complex drug interactions. And, some conditions have been described for which it is unknown, unproven or even controversial whether they be iatrogenic or not; this has been encountered particularly with regard to various psychological and chronic pain conditions. Research in these areas is ongoing.
Causes of iatrogenesis include chance, medical error, negligence, social control and the adverse effects or interactions of prescription drugs. In the United States, from 120,000 to 225,000 deaths per year may be attributed in some part to iatrogenesis.[1]
